Haven't seen the video yet and I already agree with the title. Even before getting hit by the banlist, I was not realistically getting wins with pure Adventure, but I wanted an RPG party archetype to be at least decent so badly that I tried for a few weeks before giving up.

I hate how awful these cards are as a standalone concept, because it was a very amusing idea with the handful of good cards getting gutted because everyone wanted to turbo out a singular negate to add to their sloppy end boards. One funny thing I found is that it's easy to run Solemn Scolding in this because 4 of your backrow slots are typically clogged with equips, obnoxious floodgate stuff like Dimensional Fissure or TCBOO, and of course Fateful Adventure.
I wish Konami could just make more erratas instead of just killing off the archetype. You can literally just make not summon the other monster the meta idiots summons and let people enjoy the deck.
Field spell plus Papillion makes the equipped monster immune to opponents' card effects. Also, I use the deck as a link spam deck, everything special summons, and the trap lets you special summon two monsters from the grave. So use gryphon and knight as folder, then bring them back at the start of your opponents turn.
Gryphon loses timing since it gets banished instead of being shuffled by the effect of the trap, so only illegal knight remains useful in this scenario.
Invoked, Adventure, Predaplant, Fluffal, Punk, "Frogs", Tenyi, Infinitrack, Drytrons and Impcantations are my picks. All amazing engines but really suck pure
It needs to be able to search the token by searching enchantreas!!!! Logs drew his one enchantress so there was 0 follow up for the token getting destroyed. It's clearly the banlist at fault and not the lack of support

If Enchantress and Rite were not semi-limited then the adventure engine would be a tier 0 meta engine and it'll be really rough for decks that can't play the Adventure Engine to play for a while. Meanwhile the 2 new support specifically supports the pure Adventure play style while adding a card that gives you access to the Token on command that's searchable by Fateful

Aaaaannnnnd *THIS* is why I thought the Adventure cards sucked when they were introduced and why I wanted to avoid getting Illegal Knight like the plague in the newest selection pack. (I ended up getting 2 including a foil finish)
Its sad honestly, without a second enchantress, you don't have a way to add the field spells which has a negate on one of them and immune to card effects on the other when you have the right one out

I really wish that Konami have a way to implement the reroll gacha reference of yuusha token in real game, maybe pay 1000lp pick 3 cards and choose a random card, then summon yuusha token rarity based on the card you choose that affect his stats or give him effects and you can reset 3 times if you don't get the desired results, trap UR Spell Sr and monster R.
It seems like equip based archetypes are made intentionally bad. They suck butt unless you can also use the equips as a resource like Isolde/ Noble Knight goofiness, which defeats the purpose of them being equip cards.
@@WhipLash42o Compared to noble Knight, or any other equip-based strategy, Magistus is fine. If you go first just establishing your floodgate in Zoroa just wins a lot of games if you guess properly, the ability to break boards is surprising against any true Draco or floodgates setup ramming Vahram to be destroyed to blow up your opponents field just denies so much. Not to mention secret village exists.
Its ass, made worse since i cant summon Enchantress to bring out the Field Spell quicker. Also it doesnt have any boss monsters as it abuses Thunder Charge with the other cards to nuke the monsters with low attack so it heavily relies too much on the Token and the backrow which just kills it with any card removal like bouncing it or banishing the Token before its protection hits the field. Papilon could give it protection but its still fragile as heck due to the fact that it requires the Token for the other stuff to be relevant, mostly the Equips and is the main card of the deck, without it the deck dies, as is it being a token also means you have to rely on Rite of Aramesir for only 3 times to even have it in board. The deck is shy away from being playable if they add new supports like a new boss monster that can also summon the token without Rite of Aramesir or recurs it anywhere or a card that can put Field Spells into your opponents field that lowers attack while also cannot be switched into another one unless destroyed.(Which is a gimmick usually used for Thunder Charge). It still just shows how bad Equip cards still is. But at least miles better than the Equip cards decades ago.
Also adds to the fact that you have limited searches in your deck meaning you have to not literally brick your hand to get the right cards on board otherwise you end up with an awkard board like DL just did as he has double Ridable Dragon and doesnt have access to the Field Spell. It has similarites with decks like Weather Painters and Unchained where they go all out with their cards on hand without much searching (or putting all for backrow like with Weather) for their plays but weaker.
It requires the Token, and for the Token to be immune to anything it requires 2 cards, a FS and a ES lol. Also the Field Searcher of the archtype is also limited to 1 which is usually the combo starter and the main card of the deck(if it got hit good luck lol) and you can only search 2 times per turn with Faithful Adventure, negate that and its back to canada, and the traps are a hit or miss with only 1 synergizing well with the other cards to remove monsters by destruction. A really good omni negate that you would focus getting than any other monsters in the archtype, 2 really lackluster monster cards, Searcher and combo starter of the archtype which is limited to 1 usually negated or banished by everyone who has Ash or Called by, A bounce, an ATK boost, 2 Field Spells that arent really good, etc. Yeah, with limited searches this archtype easily dies to 1 ash lol. No wonder this deck can only do good as an engine, the other cards are too lackluster to see even play.
Its funny, I pulled 3 Illegal Knights from the recent pack, so I built "Pure Adventure" too, but added Tenyi omni-negate and Gearfried to make use of all the extra equips to make more negates. Its kinda fun; bad but fun.
Its a shame Konami makes certain archetypes with litterally the express goal to make them simply an abusable engine rather then their own deck to be played.
@@SoulHero7 Drytrons already belongs to the sub archtype of the Ritual Archtype called "Drytron" due how they heavily shy away from normal Ritual combos. Even Megalith cant compete lol.
having played mekk-knights on master duel sense they where droped i find it very funny to see them poping up more often in videos (i taken a brake so not run into mirror matches thank god sounds like a slog)
Yeah, I built this too since I pulled 3 illegal knight instead of good cards. This deck puts up literally nothing besides 1 negate and 2 returns, and is super weak with water enchantress at 1. The best I could do is summon Tomahawk with illegal and gryphon, ending on Baronne, Borrel Savage, and TD Colossus with the token and trap to summon the sevens back.
I mean duellogs, in an isekai party. There are usually some irreplaceable char. MC (token), the all powerfull magic caster but weak against physical (enchant), the weird rare animal mascot (dracoback), the useless dude that always messed up (the yellow), the wise powerfull one but got nerfed after took an arrow to the knee (griffon), and the mysterious support dude that only appear when things get to big trouble (illegal knight).
I hope master rule 6 rework equip spells to make them work like MTG or something! ( equip spells in MTG stay on the field instead of going to the GY and can be equipped again to a new monster)
see, i know this was a year ago BUT u should re-do adventure tokkens but this time add in the tenyi fieldspell for protection and the tenyi trap for free omni negate options/free blue eyes ult for a free beatstick if tenyi trap getts poofed lol i run those in my adventure deck and it makes the token pretty dam...deccent
Wouldn't it make more sense for your self-insert token to be immune to everything but battle? Shouldn't that be how the MC would go down, in an epic 1v1 battle? Dying cuz you fell into a Trap Hole is what mooks and side-characters do.
Pure is ASS. The only way I experimented with to play more adventure cards was Cyberdark Adventure (basically, turbo Cyberdarkness + equips and field). Basically it sets up negates because Cyberdarkness doesn't care about the monster that has the equips, only that they are on your side of the field. But needs Illusion of chaos for deep drawing, dies to a lot of handtraps so... Still bad.
i know this is an old video but ive been playing Pure Adventure currently on a 10 win streak with it. built much different from yours. illegal knight + dracoback combo pisses people off. the token can get big damage also + the debuff combo and making it untargetable is amazing all in all its very fun and interactive deck.
The Field Spells are bad for an archtype only card in this age. Even Echantress on 3 it wont solve the problems it has, Eldlich also relies on Backrow but the backrow cards and the card itself is strong, opposite of the Adventure decks where they also rely on Backrow and their Token but weaker in terms of being an archtype card which is weird since Gryphon is an actual good card.

And with the combination of gryphon, illegal, and the raigeki trap you can deal with your opponent before they can set up anything to out the token. 1 water enchantress means you have to choose between having your live or having the field.

It’s always sad when an archetype doesn’t work pure, but then is only known for having cards that make an engine in other decks but not it’s own.

Pure Adventure worked really well for me until the Limited Water Enchantress, and semi-limited Rite. It made me so sad.
