I agree and I think the same thing about the X-Wing but I understand why the wings fold out. Combat. Imagine flying at mach 10 and all the sudden your weapons destroying your stabilizers because your hitting yourself with your own fire.
Brickvault you guys helped me through my parents divorce a few years back when I was a kid. I always had a passion for legos and you guys really eased pressure from me at that time, tbh I'm a little old for most of this now but it's fun to go back and watch your stuff for memories sake. Thx guys
Since y'all are doing more non-Star Wars ships now, I think it would be great if you could make a minifig-scale Arwing from Star Fox. There are very few ways to get any kind of display model for that ship, especially out of Lego.
That's a solid build for sure! It's nice when you can improve on an existing model and make it better, but it looks just as good as the original model and slightly better than the official Lego version.
The U-wing/LAAT comparison is really interesting. The ships serve more or less the same purpose in-universe, but the U-wing looks to be a lot larger. I mean the LAAT always ends up looking surprisingly small, but its particularly interesting here since they seem to have a similar passenger capacity
This by far the best build On the site! Will really enjoy building as this is my first MOC bought, this is one of my favorite ships in star wars and Im glad you made an improved version
I’m glad you’ve updated this model as it seemed from the comments on your website that people were quite unhappy with the internal structural stability of the model :)
Looks great! Maybe you can attach the flying starfighters on the ceiling with wires or a cord. That would look so cool and way better than the crazy high stands.
I would like to see how you would tackle the Sphere-Shaped Spaceship of the Freeza Force, better known as the Saiyan Attack Pod from the Dragon Ball franchise. I know, it's easy to do a sphere that size, but the problems come when you realize that it opens in a particular way, the two pieces (where you steat and where the porthole is) are not symmetrical, and the porthole itself it's not at the front but slightly higher. Of course if it was at big scale would be easier, but at figure scale was a nightmare for me. Unlike the CC Time Machine, I builted for myself, always from DB.
Everyone who bought the original instructions got the new ones for free already. Also we made an extra partlist that includes all the new pieces required to alter the original model into the 2.0 version :)
Brickvault because you want people to come in to your studio and see your collection and yavin. Brickstuff has a wireless connectror for lights so you could but that in your ships and let people see them in close up without taking wires apart. and then put them again on yavin and it lights up
Dear brick vault when you guys finish the yavin moc can you send out a pdf not only of the normal stuff you said you were gonna add but the ladders for the starships like the x wing in sure I can make it on my own but it would be cool to see a full scale, accurate ladder for star ships
The u wing is actually never shown before because rogue one is created by disney and episodes 1 through 6 are created by Lucasfilm which lucasfilm sold star wars to disney in like 2015 or 2014
So I own the Lego one of these and the wings are massive I’ve I was the ships designer ied be making a MK2 of this ship with slightly shorter wings as when they are folded out they create to much of a target and while folded in they do the same thing on the side profile and no matter what position they are in from a top or bottom view your a massive target so that one be one of my first fix’s to the profile of the ship. I bugs me so much as I really like the ships design and purpose I also think that someone like Mando getting hold of an old of of these could easily mod it into a great little ship for someone that needs to spend lots of time off the grid.
if you bought the original u-wing another email has been sent to you with the download link for the 2.0 version. Included is a partlist for all the extra/ different pieces you'll need. If you don't find the link for some reason email me and I'll take care of it, but it should be there.
studio2.0 is our favorite, it used to be all LDD, but we like the new studio better now. Also some of the designers we work with like MLCAD stuff, but usually only for really big models.
Is there anything we can't do with Lego, we can build things like that, or life size cars or a house, you can do just about everything with Lego, except eat it.
The instructions aren't expensive considering all the work the step by step build took, plus the parts list. What's expensive is the parts, I don't know anybody that would complain about $26.99, SMH. The parts price is 10x that much!
I feel like the u-wing looks better in it's landing/normal flying mode than with the wings extended
I agree and I think the same thing about the X-Wing but I understand why the wings fold out. Combat. Imagine flying at mach 10 and all the sudden your weapons destroying your stabilizers because your hitting yourself with your own fire.
Me 2
Ya if I were to get it, I would maybe just add ab few plates or clips to lock them in that position
@@effen_aey_man I think the x wing looks better with the s foils out but the u wing s foils don’t look to good
Tbh the lego set is too chunky and this one is a bit more slim
I still cant believe a beautiful thing like the u wing is a dropship

You guys should try making a UCS (minifigure scale) Jabba's Sailbarge
That’d be right up there with their Minifigure scale Sand Crawler in terms of size.
@@Slender_Man_186 it’s not that big. Prolly be the length of ucs falcon and a little more than half the width
I love that you have the best mocs ever and their not expensive

Finally! I wanted to buy the previous one but was concerned about sturdiness. Now I'm definitely picking up the instructions!
great moc!!, IMO the best of all u-wings that I see around the web, right proportions and size, cools details, i like it 👌
This u wing is better then the LEGO set u wing and is huge
Building mine atm! Can’t wait for you guys to release instructions for those gantry/ground crew accessories! Keep up the great content.
I would love to see this side by side with Mirkos version. They both look amazing !
Much better now!
At some point, could asking Jerac or Caleb to make a hyena bomber be a possibility?
This is awesome. I am not at your guy’s LEGO skill level but this model is amazing, I might have to get it.
You guys should also make a TIE Reaper to complete the Rogue One gunships.
Looks great! Maybe you can attach the flying starfighters on the ceiling with wires or a cord. That would look so cool and way better than the crazy high stands.
Nice update! Maybe make a imperial shuttle MOC sometime :)
if we ever go that route I know just the design to go for :)

Can you do another studio tour showing all the rooms

I already bought the U Wing Instruction before you modified it, can I still get this version without paying?

You should give the new instructions for free to people who bought the old instructions.
Or atleast a reduced price
I believe they're giving it free for those who bought 1.0
They did so with the AAT so I guess it's the same with this one
Everyone who bought the original instructions got the new ones for free already. Also we made an extra partlist that includes all the new pieces required to alter the original model into the 2.0 version :)
@@BrickVault Oh, that's nice:)
Cool build! I was wondering if you guys could make some cis stuff like a hail fire droid or a droid gunship? Nice video by the way!
what is the difference on the web-store between the rogue one and regular colors?
Is this set perfect minifigure scale?
I still feel like the interior is a decent amount shorter than it should be. You can see in Rogue One that fuselage should be a bit longer.
How much would this averagely cost on brick link with new peaces ??
Its better then the set
I wish lego make a ucs u wing like that
I made a custom version of this, but the only problem is that I don't have the cockpit piece so it isn't looking as good as it should

The u wing doesn't rest on the engines it have back landing gears that you didnt noticed.
