All my farmer neighbours here in SW France mention Clarkson’s Farm and think it’s doing a great job of showing French audiences just how difficult farming can be as well as reminding them where all their food comes from.
The difference being that in the UK, the farmers will meekly follow a new Govt rule. In France they’ll be down the Parliament with their muck spreaders.
My mom, who has never watched a single episode of top gear, thinks Clarkson’s farm is absolutely hilarious and has gotten all her coworkers to watch it, and they love it too. Fantastic television
I heard that some executive within Amazon said if they have to replace Clarkson the show would still be successful because their opinion was that the shows success comes from the concept and not the host. Some people should not allowed near jobs like that.
My mother - who died nearly 2 years ago - absolutely loved Clarkson's Farm. She was quite vocal about disliking Clarkson prior to that, but something about that show endeared itself (and him, a bit) to her. I suspect there was maybe some element of taking pleasure in his misfortune, and "Oh you silly man!" - but all I know is that it brought her a lot of laughs while fighting cancer, and that was priceless.
Jeremy and the whole crew are gold for farming. Learning so much from seeing it as lots of us are and very entertaining. Good thing with the mixed crops is it should take less fertiliser and other chemicals to help the crops grow so would improve over the coming years. First year is establishing what the soil was short of and they admitted they were a bit conservative on the bath salts this time.
Its being done on purpose, the elite want everyone dependent on them and their sources in order to manipulate and control the masses. If you control the food you control the people.
We randomly came across it and loved it right from the start. And in a happy coincidence, as soon as we finished season two, season three came out. So awesome!!
Another reason for why this show is so good, I think, is the sense of community that it shows. We've been living in an era for much too long now where "community" has been misused to simply mean total strangers who happen to have one thing in common; and also with decades now of people having to move all over their country to find work, that true idea of community has been eroded to a massive degree. So, to see the real meaning of community playing out - friends helping each other in good times and bad, mucking in to assist on a project, or simply just stopping to have a good old blether on a stone wall - is really quite heart warming, especially for those who don't have a real community of their own.
Caleb & Charlie (I think it’s his name) play off Clarkson brilliantly. As with Top Gear & The Grand Tour you have to consider that Clarkson is a genius picking people to work with
As for people making weapons in shop class back in the day, I read of someone making a fully functional Sten gun back in the 80's with the teacher. Man I'm nostalgic for a time I wasn't around for.
I actually teared up a little. The next morning I came in and researched to see if that was actually the last and was pleasantly surprised to see that there will be at least one more season. As a Doncastrian, Jeremy Clarkson is our local hero. Everyone says they hate him, because Donny is full of Blairite socialists, but it's through gritted teeth. Clarksons Farm is a gem of a show, funny, heartbreaking, eye-opening. It's so good. And yes, the councils are THAT bad, beaurocracy is a terrible terrible poison and one of the many subtle tools of the state overreach we enjoy here in the UK. Wonder why your local area is a shithole - well it's cos you didn't do anything about it silly... want to do something about i..REGULATION VIOLATED! CEASE PEASANT!
Jeremy Clarkson is so good becuase hes cocky and arrogant but also knows when to play it up to make himself the fool. He's not afraid of being a joke and askari not afraid of saying what he thinks.
The pig lovemaking scene was one of the funniest things I have seen on a documentary. The other from memory was Griff rhys Jones when his horse was walking backwards...can't remember the series. But both had me laughing every few minutes after the scene ended.
It has been years and years since I laughed as hard as I did with that scene. Jeremys wife having to pretend to mount the jealous pig was damn right hilarious, I actually ugly laughed had tears rolling down my face, struggled to breathe and my jaw was hurting. That was possibly one of the funniest things I've seen on TV ever.
I made my wife watch that scene because she watched me almost pass out laughing on an airplane watching that scene. She still thinks I'm an idiot but she liked that scene.
Consider adding Harry's Farm to your subs (and Harry's Garage for cars). Harry Metcalfe, farming friend of Clarkson and part of his original inspiration to buy a farm, and founder of EVO magazine. Lot of serious info about farming and what farmers face... and driving an amazing selection of cars / restoring his own collection.
Clarkson's farm is simply amazing because it makes educational content so god dam entertaining. If this was a normal program on TV, you'd have two non personalities talking in a field with fully grown crops around them, talking about X crop and you'd better off reading a small paragraph on a website. It is always so surface level deep that even a child would understand most of it. We get to see true farming in practice, yes sure some of it might be played up for laughs but that's fine, we actually do that in real life when something bad happens the first out of your mouth should be a joke. AKA being a true brit is all about being in the face of disaster and smiling at an imagined camera and remark the wittiest or sarcastic comment you can even when alone.
Australian and UK over regulation is very similar, we are all the Commonwealth, gov based on the Westminster system and crony socialism, high taxes, the gov is the largest employment sector in Australia and they produce nothing but heartache. Regulations are required, but you quickly hit a point of diminishing and then reversal of returns.
Englishman here. Sorry about that. It was a good system but it's failures have been laid bare in the last 15 years or so. It's been proven to have few checks against fallible group-think and civil servants who think that they know best and who think they should be running the country as an autocracy.
@@banedon8087 It's a two fold issue, voter's demanding governments take responsibility for things they should be responsible for, and with that growth in power comes a lack of accountability. Basically, the people demanded that the government strip them of their power and with the lack of accountability corruption and system abuse take hold. The government literary works on the honour system, and it attracts the least honourable among us.
@@kingcosworth2643 I'm just butting into this conversation, but I'd like to point out this trend started after your weapons were seized in 1996. For your own good, you see. And you went along with it. The dishonorable power mongers then had a full monopoly on force. So now even if you want to do something about oppressive non-accountable government abuse, you can't. Modern peasants cannot revolt without firearms. And they know it. That's why they did it in the first place. Maybe you can peaceably restore your rights, given time and mass action. But I bet not. Once a certain event horizon of state power is crossed, rulers no longer really answer to the ruled.
It's a great show on so many levels. It's Clarkson dicking around, it's a comedy double act with Caled, it's showing people who might not know how their food is produced, it's showing how awful government and local councils can be and it's showing farmers in a sympathetic way (they're sometimes their own worst enemies). Love it.
I LOVE Clarkson's Farm. The first season was immaculate. Him learning these things with Kaleb yelling at him the whole time and Jeremy trying to talk with Gerald is pure gold. Lightning in a bottle that they keep producing. Shout out to Gerald beating the big C though too. He's a national treasure and if the UK doesn't think so, I'll take him here in the US.
I honestly think that this should be shown to all kids. Showing this in schools would do more for kids education in a couple of days than most of the shit they get forced into in years!
Lol I can't imagine the heart attacks some parent groups would have about the pig and other animal fornication scenes 😂 They'd have the teacher fired for "corrupting" their children lol.
Clarkson's Farm is a great show! I grew up on a real cattle ranch in Nebraska, so I really relate to what they have to deal with on this show. The government regulations, public relations, weather problems, health issues, taxes, etc. are all totally not exaggerated. Things weren't quite as bad in 1970's and 80's Nebraska as they are in modern England, but it was still incredibly difficult for my grandparents to run the ranch and make it to the end of each year, let alone to come close to making a profit. It's a hell of a way to raise food to feed the world. The way that ranchers and farmers are treated by the public and governments is disgraceful. Clarkson and James May and Richard Hammond are hilarious on Top Gear and a number of the other shows they have been on. I'm not even much of a gear head (I can change my own car's fluids, filters and belts but other than that I don't know much about them), but I still love watching Top Gear. Their other shows like James May's shows about toys, assembling things, cooking etc. and Richard Hammond's shows about big and powerful machines, Wipeout, etc. are all worth watching. I have wondered what you thought about his shows and I'm not surprised to hear that you like Clarkson's Farm. It's unapologetically manly and anti-woke. Just great stuff.
I know, so sad! Pigs are really poor mothers. I'm so glad Jeremy was able to work with the pigloo company (not named, probably a rights or liability reason) to get the Clarkson's Ring made.
@@IcicleFerret Yeah but the makers of those pigloo things are idiots having barrriers to stop the mums rolling onto the piglets is not a new idea by any means, the idea has been around for many decades
I loved Jeremy before, but this show took my appreciation for him to a whole new level. I grew up on a farm and have a little one now, and yes, we love what he's doing and the light he's shedding on farming as a whole.
I think the best thing about Clarkson’s farm is that he’s not just messing about - he’s actually trying to succeed in the face of overwhelming bureaucratic nonsense from the local council. And he is succeeding.
I'm born and raised in rural Wales, and grew up with Farmers. Going into the show, I had a reasonable Idea of what to expect. The Councik stuff was horrendous. Most Councils have an air of superiority about them, but West Oxfordshire were clearly brimming with hatred for Clarkson personally. Denying a farm track; easily the highlight of the despondency. I was very pleased to see that Clarkson won on appeal. There's a small hint of reason hidden behind bureaucratic walls after all.
Clarkson is entertaining as Hell, he also surrounds himself with other people who are equally as entertaining in their own ways - The net result is some brilliant TV. The OG Top Gear was outstanding, some of the best entertainment the BBC has ever produced...they still make millions off the Clarkson/May/Hammond era.
That show is so surprisingly awesome. But it really shows how good of an entertainer Jeremy Clarkson is. The popularity of his car shows wasn’t a fluke. Kaleb is great too, he’s like a young, non-car Hammond.
Why is Clarkson's Farm so popular? Two words: Jeremy Clarkson. The man is just too damn funny and more based than anyone I have ever seen. And him and Kaleb are a perfect comedic duo.
As someone who works in farming, Clarkson has done more for highlighting our highs and lows more than any other person. It's been incredible to see a change in attitude from the public.
I haven't seen it but Knowing Clarkson from Top Gear, I can imagine how funny it must be to see him struggling to Farm. It^s like Chato said, we need more comedy, Clarkson is bringing it, whether intentionally or not, he's making people laugh and that's just what the Doctor ordered.
Can attest that Farmer's love it. My Dad watches every new season of Clarkson's Farm religiously. (He thinks Jeremy's an awful farmer, drives him absolutely nuts with his mistakes. But he also makes him laugh his ass off, so it evens out). And this is a man who I have never known to watch anything produced by the British, because he has trouble understanding the accent.
For decades the BBC has had a show aimed at farming and the countryside (Since 1988) which although good before the 2000s but now is woke as hell. They even did an article on how racist the countriside is because there aren't enough black people walking in it.... Clarkson's show has done more good for the farming community than the entire BBC's output
One aspect of the show that I don't think anyone mentions which makes it so great is it's sincerity. Jeremy seems to genuinely care about the farm, the animals and the people involved which separates it from Top Gear and Grand Tour.
My favourite scene from season 3, apart from Gerald and Jeremy meeting up again, was the one when Cheerful Charlie and Jeremy negotiated on Jeremy lending his goats to his neighbour, absolute genius tv.
Clarkson's farm is amazing...enough echoes of Grand Tour to feel familiar. Would love to have Hammond and May there for a few episodes =). Bringing attention to government bureaucracy is paramount.
Clarkson's farm might be one of the most important shows of the time. The fact that it's as entertaining as TGT makes the message of government nonsense and the hardships of farming that much more impactful. We set out to watch our favorite orangutang screw around with a tractor, and ended up with a new appreciation for the agrigulctural world while hating the govt. Top Tier entertainment honestly.

Same here, she’s watching the grand tour specials now.
love how clarksson called Amazon out on DEI, he used 50 shades of grey men lol
The episode where he was shopping for farm equipment was GOLD, lmao. "Amazon wants more diversity but, they're all balding englishmen." 😂
The "You see every type of middle aged, white, English man at this auction" comment (in season...2?) had me rolling!
@@IcicleFerret Season 1, but yep pretty much.
Watching Jeremy’s slow descent into full on Ron Paul Libertarianism has been amazing.
Thought you meant Ron Swanson libertarian, which would have worked.
Bro is Ron Swanson.
LOVE IT!
I heard that some executive within Amazon said if they have to replace Clarkson the show would still be successful because their opinion was that the shows success comes from the concept and not the host. Some people should not allowed near jobs like that.
What makes it great is that it doesn’t shy away from the shit farmers go threw and how dark a stuff can get.
Didn't expect Drinker to talk about Jeremy Clarkson today
This Aussie dairy farmer loves this show especially how it shows what farmers now have to go through.
Clarkson never disappoints. No matter what he is doing.
Clarkson's reactions to Gerald crack me up. Always reminds me of Turkish's (Jason Statham) reaction to Mickey (Brad Pitt) in "Snatch".
British Boomhower
Or the old Bobby and farmer in Hot Fuzz.
''It's not Irish, it's not English.......it is....well it's just Pikey'' ''You like dahgs?'' That movie is so good and underrated lol
Periwinkle Blue caravan
Farmer in the UK and EU have loads of red tape to deal with.
TBF, a lot of it is for good reason
@@defeqel6537 SOME of it is. Most of it is just absolute nonsense.
@@defeqel6537 Not a lot, just some, the rest are just unnecessary tbh, so yeah
Its being done on purpose, the elite want everyone dependent on them and their sources in order to manipulate and control the masses. If you control the food you control the people.
The show is so good. Binged watched all the seasons, twice. By season ten we will be able to understand Gerald.
Haha nice, lets see
Kaleb made Rishi Sunak look like a freakin space alien. We need more Kalebs and fewer Rishis in this world.
Count Binface makes Rishi look like a space alien it's not a high bar to achieve.
You mean president ricky?😂
Clarkson has high lighted the issues farmers face daily more in 3 seasons than the NFU has since its inception in 1908.
He’s just naturally funny and knows how to make jokes 😅
A guy who appreciates being made fun of is difficult to hate
Absolutely!
Clarkson's Farm is the modern, reality version of Green Acres, and it's amazing.
To be fair, it's basically a tube so it would not be too hard lol.
@@VainerCactus0 All the trigger has to do is get out of the way.
Shout out for Gerald - the end of episode one in the new series was a real kick in the gut. All hail the G-Dog.
I actually teared up a little.
The next morning I came in and researched to see if that was actually the last and was pleasantly surprised to see that there will be at least one more season.
G-Dog is my step fathers spirit animal. LOL we are from the deep south and my wife is from Maine. Neither of them know what the other is saying LOL and its all clear as day to me.
I relate lol
I’m shocked at how much entertainment I am getting out of a subject I cared exactly nothing about just a few years ago.
Clarkson's farm is class, proper tv like it used to be. Jeremy is a legend and the whole cast are class especially Gerald!
This is proof that sometimes the character is more important than the message
Also Jeremy is bloody good story teller, must see his two docos on Victoria cross. What I love are the characters and the amount of info you learn about farming and environment. We are seeing him actually turning into a greenie :P. but boy does he love his toys
I have watched it from the very beginning. It is one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen.
Americans dont know this show like that. Please keep bringing it up. Hes a national treasure for GB. 🙏
I know he is from Doncaster, but he's spoken his whole life like a posh Londoner
Blair was not a socialist
Jeremy Clarkson is so good becuase hes cocky and arrogant but also knows when to play it up to make himself the fool. He's not afraid of being a joke and askari not afraid of saying what he thinks.
It still amazes me that a show laden with swearing and innuendo is the most wholesome show on tv
If clarkson taught me one thing….Spppeeeed and Pooower.
But seriously, government overreach is a serious problem.
You forgot the HAMMER!!!!!!!
Clarksons farm and the grand tour is the only reason ive kept amazon prime, Clarksons farm is an absolutely fantastic show
Yes, but for me, The Boys also keeps me around.
Clarksons farm is easily primes best show and has been for years
Have absolute no knowledge or interests about farming whatsoever, and yet completely addicted to this show.
I dont know, filming farmers and have them talk freely always works.
He did the same with cars on Top Gear and converted millions to gearheads just by being approachable and entertaining as a show
Australian and UK over regulation is very similar, we are all the Commonwealth, gov based on the Westminster system and crony socialism, high taxes, the gov is the largest employment sector in Australia and they produce nothing but heartache.
Clarkson is a national treasure and Clarkson's Farm is just such wholesome, entertaining content, and there's not much of that these days
It's a great show on so many levels. It's Clarkson dicking around, it's a comedy double act with Caled, it's showing people who might not know how their food is produced, it's showing how awful government and local councils can be and it's showing farmers in a sympathetic way (they're sometimes their own worst enemies). Love it.
"Boys rating girls' looks? That's horrible! Girls would never do that to each other"
Drinker love your content. I'd love to see a Clarkson's Farm review but not in podcast form. The show deserves it, you deserve it, DO IT, please lol
Proof that anything Jeremy does is GOLD
The English government when the farmers actually manage to grow crops: “THEY’RE PENETRATING THE BUREAUCRACY!”
@@mikepatton8691
or the animal birthing scenes
Absolutely the best and only reality show that should exist
Dude the pigs dying had me crying. Never thought id be crying over bacon but damn it was hard to watch. Love the show
I know, so sad! Pigs are really poor mothers. I'm so glad Jeremy was able to work with the pigloo company (not named, probably a rights or liability reason) to get the Clarkson's Ring made.
Eh, just like chickens, they would eat you with no problem given the opportunity.
It was rough
@@IcicleFerret Yeah but the makers of those pigloo things are idiots having barrriers to stop the mums rolling onto the piglets is not a new idea by any means, the idea has been around for many decades
@@guyincognito1406 oh 100%. Best way to get rid of a body lol. I was just sayin how suprised i was how it affected me
I watched seasons 1&2 and I loved those and here 10 seconds in and I already hear that third season is also amazing, that makes me so happy.
Hammond's workshop and the James May travel shows are pretty good too.
I loved Jeremy before, but this show took my appreciation for him to a whole new level. I grew up on a farm and have a little one now, and yes, we love what he's doing and the light he's shedding on farming as a whole.
Just group of middle aged men bonding over farming show. Beautiful.
I love this show so much and I am astounded it came up on Open Bar 😂
That show is so surprisingly awesome. But it really shows how good of an entertainer Jeremy Clarkson is. The popularity of his car shows wasn’t a fluke. Kaleb is great too, he’s like a young, non-car Hammond.
with a Perm.
@@CleverGirlAAHI forgot about the perm. That’s brilliant
Clarkson/Tolkien crossover...The Rings of More Power!
The strongest Ring....

The BBC reject who ended up being the champion of all farmers in the western hemisphere due to his incompetence. God I love Jeremy Clarkson.
Why is Clarkson's Farm so popular? Two words: Jeremy Clarkson. The man is just too damn funny and more based than anyone I have ever seen. And him and Kaleb are a perfect comedic duo.
I liked it when Jeremy said "it's Clarksoning time" and he clarksoned everywhere
Clarkson knows how to entertain, Top Gear and The Grand Tour was brilliant and this is just another great show.
The BBC is garbage, and has been for years. It's about time people started to notice.
Clarkson's Farm is something I never knew I needed. Close to life changing even. I love everything about it.
One aspect of the show that I don't think anyone mentions which makes it so great is it's sincerity. Jeremy seems to genuinely care about the farm, the animals and the people involved which separates it from Top Gear and Grand Tour.
He's done a thing. Brilliantly. God bless you, Jeremy.
Love that show, plus he won sexist man of the year too n the UK 2yrs in a row
Low bar? What about the devilishly handsome Drinker?
He looks like a thin Sargon.

Oh? Is someone having a fantasy about our favourite Scottish curmudgeon in a wig and pointy ears?
My favourite scene from season 3, apart from Gerald and Jeremy meeting up again, was the one when Cheerful Charlie and Jeremy negotiated on Jeremy lending his goats to his neighbour, absolute genius tv.
Clarkson's farm is amazing...enough echoes of Grand Tour to feel familiar. Would love to have Hammond and May there for a few episodes =). Bringing attention to government bureaucracy is paramount.
Cheerful Charlie hopping back and forth over the fence when negotiating with himself had me rolling on the floor with laughter!
Despot sitting there through this video just nodding, seething, and thinking to himself "Feckin' English"
Ha There is no Englishmen if I'm not mistaken. There's a Jock, a Taffy, two Yanks and an Ozzie

I'm 25 minutes in to Ep 1 and I'm loving it already. Damn good recommendation.
Talking about the high school hot list right after stating Clarkson was twice named sexiest man was brilliant
It’s gonna be a sad day when the clarkson trio goes
Jeremy needs to join you lads for an episode of Drinkers Chasers.
Stories of the BBCs regulations would be good...
I'm immediately downloading series 1-3 of Clarkson's Farm
Series 1 and 3 are outstanding, 2 is a little contrived in places but still great.
Me and the Mrs have enjoyed this more than anything else ive seen in years
So happy Gerald is doing good. ❤
