I bought Kushaq Ambition 1L Manual on last January for 15.5L on road. Driven almost 6000 km. Achieved max 17 km mileage in Highway but mostly driven in chennai city only . I usually get 10-12 km mileage during peak office hours, but with less traffic I get 12-14 km mileage in city. Driving experience is excellent in Skoda . I love it. Particularly the front look of Kushaq , it feels like you are driving a 40-50 lakh luxury car. Such a well made design. Yeah there may be some minus here and there. But who cares if your car gives you 100% joy and happiness. I am really proud owning ŠKODA KUSHAQ.

I have been using the 1.0L Manual, nearing 12K kms now. I have started noticing noise inside the cabin due to poor plastics. Decent fuel efficiency, great ride handling.

Sir .... I dont mean to deviate from the topic. But what can you tell about the quality and life of mahindra vehicles. Especially thar roxx.
Because i have booked it ...i dont want to regret it later after purchasing.
For your information im a normal driver who does not involve in rash or rough driving.....im a normal and smooth driver .
Please tell me your opinion sir

    • @Peaceofmind-x8c
      @Peaceofmind-x8c หลายเดือนก่อน +3

@@DBS-o1p Sir what made you to book thar ROXX ?. Since you have mentioned that you are a normal driver. Have you booked petrol or diesel?... List your requirements like
      1. Reliability.
      2. Fuel (diesel - minimum run 50 kms per day and highway use max (DPF issues will come if u use in city max) or petrol - city / occasional highway use or CNG)
      3. Transmission (Manual / Automatic)
      4. Safe built quality.
      5. Mileage.
      6. Service support at your location.
      7. Spare parts availability / cost.
      8. City / highway / Hilly area (need minimum RWD / 4x4)
      9. Drive performance oriented driver (or) light foot driver
      10. Seating capacity.
      11. Features (360 camera, ventilated seats, blind spot monitor, reverse cam etc.)
      12. Self driven or chauffeur driven car.
Like this prepare a list and tick your requirements with the cars you have considered. The car that ticks with all your requirements should be the one you have to choose. Don't go with market hype which is temporary. If Thar roxx fits with all the requirements in the list above then it will be your car. Happy motoring.

OK I started to think about thar roxx only after suffering to drive in horrible condtions of water logging in my area due to rain and road condiitons.
so since i am a owner of the fiat punto evo (diesel manual)......i prefer diesel in thar roxx too and automatic is what i prefer.
I have booked the AX5L automatic diesel 4x4 variant
What my requirement are as per you list when im buying a new car is this :
      1. Reliability : Duralbility and the build quality of the car should sustain for atleast 10 years with no major fatal issues (small issue is ok during maintenace)
      2. Fuel (diesel - minimum run 50 kms per day and highway use max (DPF issues will come if u use in city max) or petrol - city / occasional highway use or CNG) - i drive only at weekends along the omr road and once or twice in a year i drive around 350km to 500km in highway or sometimes hill areas and hair pin bends
      3. Transmission (Manual / Automatic) - i chose automatic for ease of driving
      4. Safe built quality. - i dont want problems like mechnical ones that require dismantling the car to repair (those kind of problems)
      5. Mileage. - im not worried about mileage because my usage is limited
      6. Service support at your location. - i dont worry about that also. thats ok
      7. Spare parts availability / cost. - yeah this one costs a lot and empties my wallet (that is why im concerned about the quality and long term life)
      8. City / highway / Hilly area (need minimum RWD / 4x4) = i have booked the 4x4 so that i might be able to do good in hilly driving zones and well as in rough roads
      9. Drive performance oriented driver (or) light foot driver - im a dynamic driver (i adapt myself to traffic so i am both fast and slow but by default i maintain normal speeds only without any harsh or rough driving styles)
      10. Seating capacity. - about that i am satisfied with thar roxx
      11. Features (360 camera, ventilated seats, blind spot monitor, reverse cam etc.) - im not inclined to those stuff ... im all good without them
      12. Self driven or chauffeur driven car. - oh i drive the car. driving is sheer pleasure

      @@Peaceofmind-x8c
Thank you sir for meaningful question
from all you asked i would like to magnify on the quality and long term life part
ill start with my current car - the punto evo (10+ years old)
it's a hatchback and has around 195mm ground clearance
      Its diesel and manual only
it's got 95 hp under the hood of the turbo charged multijet engine
its a good car and basically an able survivor
recently the roads in my area where not laid so it was all small-rocky and potholed , uneven, rough, full of tiny stones only with sudden unevenness randomly. i was driving my car in that horrible road for atmost two years . i never floored the accelerated or drove fast. i maintained a max of 20kmph.
After the roads were laid and everything was smooth ...... i started to hear small noices while i was steering right or left .
i gave it to the mechanic for service and they said "Engine rack maathanum sir ... aprom suspension kooda maathitaa nallathu "
so as they said i paid and got the suspension changed along with the engine rack. it cost me around 70k
      So about thar roxx
being a bigger vehicle with bigger tires and improved suspension can i expect to reduce my cost of repairs and service or will it be more
because i dont have any experience of owning a big vehicle ...needless to say maintaining it ...
will i be having the same mechanical issues whilst rolling through such roads at normal speeds. what is the difference (service and maintenance aspect)

Most people don't understand the difference between a NA 3 Cyl and a turbocharged 3 Cyl. A good 3 cyl turbo like the TSI would anyday smoke even the best 4 Cyl like 1.5 Vtec.

    • @OutOfContextOOC
      @OutOfContextOOC หลายเดือนก่อน

There's nothing tough to understand here. Turbo nearly doubles engine performance compared to NA. Smokey performance is not something ppl want/use everyday.
Most city roads are bad & congested. Driving at 40-50 kmph. A 3 cyl will show its poor HVH at this range. Uneven torque delivery/jerky. You'll always have to drive in a low gear to keep engine rev within turbo working range for performance. This takes a toll in the FE.
Comparatively a 4 cyl would be much balanced and provide better low end performance. You'll not hear the engine stress like a 3 cyl. It's only at high speeds 3 cyl turbo will feel better than 4 cyl NA. To get the best of both worlds, it's sensible to buy a 4 cyl turbo.
      3 cyl NA < 3 cyl turbo < 4 cyl NA < 4 cyl turbo

    • @daniel-oc2kz

    • @raveendhana7084

The trump card for the tsi is its extra torque due to the fact its turbo charged and the entire dump happens between the 2000 to 5500 rpm, for that the turbo needs your gear shift to be precise otherwise you might lug the engine
Whereas in a 1.5 ivtec the power will be so linear that you will get the power upto 7000 rpm , sans the extra torque which it does not have
The plus for the ivtec is it can pull at any gear , like it can still pull 60 in 6th gear , so can maintain a good average speed ,
So by the time you keep working the gears in the tsi , i can just smash the accelerator and keep up to the tsi
At the end of the day its just touch and go
In terms of long term reliability a 1.5 NA will anyday fare better than a three cylinder turbo for that matter
Less strees , less moving parts longer life
