Very beautiful! How are we to relate to Jesus Christ if not through the Way He lived and what He taught. His influence crossed the ocean's and touched the lives of Black Americans through the civil rights movement. MLK never considered violence, but he was influenced strongly by his thought. Malcolm X believed that freedom should come by "any means necessary." We cannot stay quiet and just wait for the "rapture" to get us outta here. People are suffering and hurting, we must let our light shine for all to see. In the end Americans are facing some of the same issues Bonhoeffer did in 2021. Please, pray for us to have wisdom. Thanks. 🇺🇸

Luther spoke of the two Reich's, God's and man's. The Reich of the world requires us to obey authority. Bonhoeffer knew Reinhold Niebuhr from the Union Theological Seminary. They remained good friends, but he was initially opposed his "social gospel" approach to Christianity. What sticks in my head was that during the synod votes on what action should be taken to oppose Hitler, he informed the others that they should vote their own "conscience's", and not following him out of respect.

The setting of this interview couldn’t have been more distracting and disrespectful to the subject-like it filmed in the center of a major thoroughfare.

Since the Bible only uses the Title "Reverend" in relation to God, hopefully this man knows more about Bonhoeffer than he does the Word of God!

To compare the soteriological work of Christ in bearing the guilt humankind bears because of inherent sin to use as a metaphor for describing bearing the burdens and injustices of the oppressed is an insidious error that needs to be repented of.

    Thou shalt not murder

It’s not that simple. Murder is the intentional unlawful killing of another person. To stop an evil person from killing thousands of innocents every day is not murder; it is justifiable homicide. The fact that the evil person was in authority over the nation of Germany at that time does not make it murder (or attempted murder) in my opinion. Let us each seek and examine what is the Will of God in our lives at each moment of our lives. And then follow it.

Good point. What do you say to the Abortion medical profession ? Could they die by way of justifiable homocide ? Mandating vaccines not tested in trials ?
      Hitler had to be stopped.@@Shallnotbeinfringed2A

You didn’t live in Nazi Germany or the places he took over by murdering innocent men, women and children, he seen it happening and you didn’t. I can see you would have stood by and watched.
