lol I haven't observed that well. I think Miles Silvas got underscored tho, like a 7.1 for that kinda run?? others in later heats had some bails and got scored like this. It's crazy that there are like almost every time some mistake made of the judges... maybe it's the hype or something.... but I started watching and thought the first heat will get robbed anyway, it's like every time! This time they judged micky like he deserved, but exactly this time he couldn't do it... XD...

I hate to be that guy but SLS has to stop inviting Manny and Torey. Give those spots to younger skaters who are going to perform better.

at this point it wouldn't be an sls competition without a skater or two getting robbed by the judges.

29:35 People misspeak all the time of course but, calling Felipe Mota the 'youngest skater in SLS this year PERIOD' is quite blatantly outcasting the womens league. I LOVE SLS and I love the commentary but yeah ... Slips of the tongue tend to give away that person's default perspective on things - in this case, it's really about the mens category. Anyway thought I'd point it out.

Amazing trick! But atleast in my opinion it shouldn’t be a full point between those 2 tricks.
The judges do not discourage riders from doing the same tricks over and over and over. It's so annoying. The judging at these events is so bad. Name another sport where the announcers are so consistently disagreeing with the officials.

well I think they did sometimes, but I think it would be cool to see how other judges would do it... somehow it's kinda psychologically, for example the first heat always get underscored, even the second, it depends. But that's fact. G just remembered that fs crooked shovit from Jamie gettin a 9... haha that's a joke if you ask me, I actually even think it's because he struggled and it looked, like it was very difficult. lol. I really don't think that Carlos had a nine there for that "sw fs blunt" only.

@@JakebRyanClark Not all pros are good to judge other's skills, even the commentators who are pros like Rowley or Malto have noticed awful judging it in past events.

Jordan touched the floor on the bump to flat 360 flip and clipped the last stair on the laser flip down the 12. Judges must have missed it cuz they scored him perfectly. I mean they gave hofler a pretty high score for putting both hands on the floor too. Wth is going on here?!

Seemed like Felipe Gustavo was underscored more than anyone imo. That kickflip crook on the bump to high ledge should've been near 9.0 and most of his 7s should've been in the 8s imo. Like a perfect switch flip down a big 12 should easily be in the 8s but he got a 7.8. Nobody else did a switch flip down it because it's pretty risky. Really should've been 1.5-2 points higher overall from what I saw.
He gets consistently robbed at every contest, even that Red Bull indoor Ryan Sheckler one. I'd like to see anybody else try his runs. He's so good.

So tired of these judges screwing over the lower seeds because" lack of creativity" or whatever, when the top guys just show up, do the same tricks, and get the top money. So messed up. You're supposed to progress and change it up. It's part of the actual criteria. Oh well.
Kelvin switched it up quite a bit this contest and it was awesome to see. I hope more people do that.

Some skaters were not judged fairly, but always remember judging is a really really hard job! There is so much going on and there will always be room for errors.

Sora is here for 9's...nothing less. That was a 9 line from Suciu. 1:53:05 I can still hear that landing.
I was there today, and he was really battling that final switch backside flip. He took it out of the first line because it was giving him so much trouble in practice. When he rode away from it in his line the whole place went nuts.

@Kel El He had much diversity like also some creativity and tech skating, wasn't that perfect, but I think it's hilarious to get ducked by a whole point cause of some toe drags or one missing trick....

So inconsistent and unfair to some skaters that it's actually embarrassing to watch!!
I feel sorry for the athletes that got a lower score for a full solid line than some did for a line with bails and Hands to ground...
Alex white has is the absolute worst commentator in skateboarding. She's so damn awkward and apparently has difficulty reading the prompt lmao

Ok either the judges don't skate, or they've got some AI algorithm involved in the scoring coz Suciu's fakie 5.0 and fakie ng revert down the 12 stair hubba got such weak scores. Like yeh they're not super wicked boosted flippy super tricks, and your mum isn't gunna be impressed, but if you skate, you know the difficulty level of those is so high.

He's got so much game, so much grit, and so many big tricks...but he often gets burned in comps by his own need to go huge at all times.
I really hope the skate gods are with him in the finals. He's way overdue to crush this thing!

@LanlordHypeMan 100% agree @ struggling with strategy. I find he's often blinded by his own ambition - he likes to go for broke. Problem with going for broke is that you often get there.

Joselin and Descenzo should definitely be top 5 more often. Their street parts are SO much better than most of the competition.

I’d like to see Gustavo do least one TreFlip and do a hard flip back smith… it’s getting old seeing a lot of TreFlip in his run. I get it that’s his go to trick but TreFlip and big flip board slides are getting old. Least do some thing lil more tech. I feel he could have a better run if he actually changed up his tricks each run
Everyone has their signature tricks and it's not easy tricks to do consistently only him is doing it this often basically because he got these tricks on lock

I don't know when it happened, but Vincent Milou has quietly / subconsciously become one of my favorite skaters. It's strange because there's no distinct moment for that revelation. I just noticed it today watching. He keeps getting better and better.

SLS I love these more diverse parks! It really gives room for creativity for the skaters. Lets see more weird obstacles and angles!!

Sora has a very narrow range of tricks he does. And he almost never flips his board. I think he gets drastically over scored. Felipe Gustavo consistently does hard flip tricks into slides and the judges don't care. Sora mostly just does awkward spin to grind tricks. They are really hard but it's all variations of the same theme.

Man, that cab tail big spin Sora did on the hubba previously is probably the most ridiculous trick I've seen in my 21 years of skateboarding. Mark my words, he is going to become one of the best skateboarders of the new generation, if not ever.

I agree completely. It gets extremely repetitive to see Sora and Yuto do the same style tricks every time. Most guys are quite repetitive but those two are especially repetitive but they get shotgun blasted with high scores for it every time.

Is anyone else getting bored seeing Vincent Milou repeat the same two tricks? Hes been doing the kickflip lipslide & kickflip tail at pretty much every contest for YEARS. Honestly couldn’t believe the judges gave him a 9 for the kickflip tail. I’m not knocking the trick but it’s not as cool to watch when u can already predict he’s gonna do that trick before the contest even starts

Street runs should flow. I feel some skaters do a trick pick up there boards then set up for there next trick with no flow. Hit coping with a blunt OR A ROCK TO what ever and keep that flow and speed. two basic tricks i know but maintain that flow.
ANYTHING DONE SWITCH, should be a way higher score regardless. THE JUDGES ARE WACK!!!!!!!
