COLOURPOP PALETTE REORGANIZATION // Redoing the color stories of Colourpop eyeshadow palettes

- in which I give my Colourpop eyeshadow palette collection a bit of a reorganization. These color stories just weren't perfect for me, so I decided to mix them up so I could keep what I love and declutter the palettes I am not a huge fan of. How do you think I did?

I like this concept for a video! Im always wanting to comdense my collection and reduce down to the bare necessities
Thanks! I knew right as I had used those monochromatic palettes that I would never feel so much inclined anymore to reach for them due to the many superfluous shades. Luckily these can be taken apart very easily.
This is so much my kind of video! I love modifying my palettes, even those without magnets, I use my flat iron and I swap singles of the same size between all my palettes ... I never dared to repress colors in a new pan, but you inspire me to try it!
Hello from Canada xoxo
That's dedication! Whenever I have depotted shadows that are stuck in place I have ended up cracking more than I care for.
Now this was fun? I kinda was like "no! what are you doing?" when you played with the green palettes, but I must admit they do look much better now.
Also the strawbery shake turned out really pretty.
Thank you! I am really happy how they turned out too.
I stayed up all night one night, last year and did this! It really helped me use my colourpop palettes a lot more 👍
That's what I am hoping for now too as I feel so much more inspired by these palettes.
@@FloatinginDreams it really will! You're definitely at heaven's gates 💥🥰
Love watching you make something you love! I always would have felt they had to stay that way (some unspoken rule). This was inspiring!
I do feel that way about some palettes, but these Colourpop ones... Nah I just knew once I had given them a try that I would have to take them apart to make them actually work for me. And with these you can luckily do that quite easily as they are magnetic!
This was sooo fun to watch. I swear, I enjoyed depotting, decluttering, and repressing my eyeshadows more than I ever have wearing them, lol.
Hahaha I love wearing and creating looks with them as well.
Yesss I love reorganizing my colourpop palettes or taking them out to use as singles. I'm trying to find the PERFECT SHADE to replace the YELLOW GLITTER in uh huh honey 🍯. Also thank you for showing us how you repress shades
I think this brown from Mandalorian will hopefully work well. I felt Uh Huh Honey lacked a good shade to deepen things up which is why I went with that.
The neutral shades in the "The Child palette makes it my perfect palette! I have brown eyes and hair, so I love to do a green and neutral eye as an everyday look.
I wish I could give more than 1 thumbs up! This video is so fun and so creative! I love that you’ve created the best versions of the not-perfect palettes. I don’t have enough shadows to do this but you’ve got me thinking about ways I could improve some of the palettes I do have! Thank you!
Glad to have given you some new ideas!
hi , colours are very personal , i would have changed even your selection , so yes its all a personal selection . pleased your happy . for me i don’t own any colourpop .i prefer charlotte Tilbury but thats what makes makeup fun .
Oh certainly! With colors it really just is all about what your eye is drawn to.
This is touching my OCD strings ❤️ So doing this getting viseart edits and color pops and Dior together!!! Do more of these videos!!!
I do them a few times a year with my singles. I should one up later this month.
Love this idea!😄
Glad you liked it!
This was great to watch. I followed along and played with my singles as I watched haha thanks for the clip on you repressing it was helpful! Also one of the many things I dislike about colorpops new plastic packaging is that, as far as I know, they aren't magnetic and even if they are they won't fit easily with other singles....I like how colorpop palettes are customizable. The palettes you created are really nice :)
Glad you enjoyed! Their plastic palettes just feel very cheap. The cardboard is so much nicer.
Such a cool video and super fun to watch. 🤗 I love all these palettes so much! Stone Cold Fox is my favorite cool toned palette. I’m interested to see what you think of it. Hope you’re well, my friend!♥️
I will be using it for the first time next week I hope! I have some other plans for that palette as I want to feature it in two upcoming videos in June. So you'll hear me talk about it again soon!
This was so fun to watch!
Glad you enjoyed!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I really wish I could do that but I’m not ready yet! 😆😆
All in good time!
Loved this ! Would love to see more videos like this ! ❤
There are two more out: a palette reorganization (ft. more than just CP) from April 2022 and I reorganized my Urban Decay Naked 2 and 3 into one color story last November.
Loved this Maaike. Probably need to do this too, but not ready for anything drastic yet. Did put all my smaller CP palettes in those huge Coloured Raine 96 pans and I can confirm that there is a huge overlap in the warm/brown/neutral department. And those cardboard palettes are so much better than those plastic 9 pan ones. In a couple of months, could you perhaps do a follow up video? Maybe showing looks and tell us how you feel about this experiment.
That is a great idea! I am still playing with lots of other new things though, but since I capped my palette spending I am hoping that around late summer I should have used everything I brought in in the past 6 months. By that time I can focus more on using what I already own (that was the aim of capping my palette amount this year to begin with). So I would very much like to do it, but I probably won't be able to until like December or something. I'll put it on my list of video ideas (which by the way, is already filled up all the way until October).
New sub💕love the concept of your video! I always change up my colors as well but sometimes idk what to change up😂so this dec helped !
Glad I helped inspire you to figure out what to change.
Good job!
Thank you!
I enjoyed watching your process. Thank you for sharing with us🙂
Glad you enjoyed! It definitely took longer than I had expected.
Lovely video idea 😊💡
Thank you!
Wow.... so many 😍👌🏽
Have a wonderful day 🙋🏽♀️
You too!
I was thinking of doing this too...you got ahead of me 😉
Good idea to use what we have and make something new. I just mix my highlighters, the ones too light (white) with the ones that were darker and I couldn't use. The result was amazing.I even use some eyeshadows to make the perfect tone for me.
Now I want to mix colors to make new eyeshadows ...I hope it all works out!
I actually do that a lot too, just use the lighter shades as blend shades to mix and match shadows, but I feel these palettes have enough lighter blend shades as is that I don't even need the creams and whites to really make it work. Besides, I am no longer that afraid of darker shades as I have found that a light hand and some decent blending can do the trick too!
You also use Catrice lipsticks to press down eyeshadows lol? I did something similar with my Good Sport and Smoke show, I put some of the berries and purples into smoke show. The GS looks like a palette from Revolution called Black Ice, it's mostly reds and blacks and greens. I don't know if I'll keep them that way, but for now it will be fun to use them like that. I kinda want to get more CP palettes just to mess around with them and rearrange them, but also to get some more metallic shades and neutrals. I really liked what you did with the Mint to be and the Child palettes, there's a very grungy factor to both now.
Hahaha yeah! They are just the perfect shape. I will have to keep one of these old ones around forever as they are perfect for repressing round pans. I love the rectangular new packaging for square pans.
I'm fair toned like you are. I was wondering what transition shade you use for the persona identity palette because some shades are on the darker shade.
I just use the two mattes in the middle row depending on the look I go for. A trick I use is to use a light hand and a good blending brush to sheer things out or I use a matte cream or white (also in the palette) either over the shade or I just dip my brush into both shades to create a less intense shades. Sort of like you would do with paint if you catch my drift.
How come you didn't like the blue moon pallette 😭 just give it to me
Mine was terrible quality. Mattes were super patchy and the different shades of blue didn't go together. There are other blue palettes out there with much better quality and a better shade selection.
I wish the names could be moved with the shades. That is why I don't reorganize my palettes. I'm just too anal about it lol.
I just wish that each brand would do magnetized palettes. So much easier.
such a fun process but I found myself yelling "we can't see !!!" half the time. you unintentionally do so much off camera (like swatching out of frame or moving the pans out of frame while you're still talking about them) that it makes me as the viewer feel like I am missing out
Thanks for the feedback. My aim here however was to show the rearrangement of the color stories, not to swatch and show any shades closeup. There are enough swatches of Colourpop palettes to begin with, so it would only make this video longer if I had to include that too. Hope that makes sense.
@@FloatinginDreams yea my brain just loves visuals so its easier to see the custom palettes come to life if I can clearly see which shades were super light or super shimmery on the skin and how that might pair well with the pans that you have sitting on the table. I get the need to keep the video short and sweet, tho😀 it was great seeing the colour stories you ended up with
