  • Mutation Description: "The siege on the xel'naga temple has intensified. Amon's strongest creations embolden their minions as they break themselves upon your ramparts, only to rise again. Not only that, but they also attack your fortifications from afar. Endure the assault and keep the temple secure."
    Mutators:
Just Die! - Enemy units are automatically revived upon death.
Long Range - Enemy units & structures have increased weapon and vision range.
Inspiration - Enemy Heroic units increase the attack speed and armor of all enemies within a small range.

Kimmo's Notes: I had an odd feeling about this run. I remember using Pattern A and it being easier than Pattern B. But it felt harder this time compared to three years ago and I had no idea why.
I tried my hand against Dominion Battlegroup because against enemies that revive twice, long, drawn out fights do not favor me. Part of Dehaka's strength is his ability to end fights instantly or quickly through one devour or his burst options. This time, it's the Creeper Hosts. Dominion Battlegroup or Terran in general would be a challenge to face because Long Range plays into their favor by a lot.
I am aware I had Protoss as an option that have a lot of compositions for Psionic units to devour. However, I enjoy challenges. And lately, I've been wanting to diversify the race representation a bit with my runs. I like to do little things like this to keep things fresh to watch (and play).
An air fleet that can strike from long distances means they can out range Primal Wurms and strike Creeper Hosts from further away. Hosts draw a lot of aggro to them so Long Range would make it more difficult to keep them out of danger. Also, the Battlecrusiers CAN Yamato the temple as well. I lost a run this way once. Mutalisks can act as decoys from the Temple to the Yamato Cannons, especially with their reconstitution ability.
This is a lot harder than it looks but I hope it makes for a more entertaining run to watch.
