    Watched this because of recent flood in Manila. I hope it will priority the proposed flood control projects in this administration.

    Garbage is another contributor in the problem!

      Contrary to popular belief garbage has always been the excuse of corporations and govt to bring the blame to the people.
      Destruction of nearby mountains to give way for residential and commercial spaces is what causes major flood problems. Not to mention the removal of mangrove trees more than A 100 years ago in manila bay or any bay for that matter.
      No matter how clean the drainages are, the only way flood can be prevented is to remove every concrete jungle away from any bodies of water and mountain range.

    Why don't we build that Paranaque floodway underground? Yes it's expensive but it will pay for itself in the long run.

      Prolly because of right of way... seeing that the floodway will cut through the metropolis.

      @@jeromeclemente3672 it's all about the budget. eka nga ni MDS pag gagawa ka ng project saan kukuha ng pondo? we are in a pandemic now. the government must set priorities muna sa health and dealing with pandemic. although it is also risky kasi di naman nagdeday off ang bagyo at pagbaha lalo na La Niña season tayo. well we can blame those politicians na hindi nagprioritize ng mga ganitong proposals way back 30 to 40 years ago. revenge politics at its finest

      Politko front lamang yan. Corporations ang nag didikta ng batas.
      Kahit sino ang iupo sa Pinas kung hindi ma ddisiplina ang mga corporations bale wala.
      Sila din ang nag papatayo ng mga commercial spaces at residential spaces sa mga lugar na dapat hindi lagyan.

    better to dredge tge whole laguna de bay including the major rivers in NCR. theres no need to construct the proposed spillway.. the dredging alone can address most of the flooding problems in metro manila.

    People from other provinces migrate to M.Manila and take up much space thats why there's no space for drainage. So its better to send them ( squatters) back to their respective places!

    • @geraldpestano5789
      @geraldpestano5789 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      but their reasons are mahirap ang buhay sa province and lack of opportunity to uplift their lives. mas maganda idevelop yung mga cities (independent component cities) and other municipalities para si magsiksikan dito sa M.Manila. kaso inuuna kasi ng politicians yung politics eh kaya nagkandaleche leche na tayo.

      Hindi kasi distrubuted fairly ang progress nasa metro cities lang lahat like metro manila , metro cebu and metro davao . Fast ang progress sa mga yan my progress sa ibang lugar pero ang slow at maliit ang sahod . Kaya kailangan ang federal govt para patas lahat or my control every state sa sweldo ng kanilang estado .
