Would like to see it perform a regular withdrawal, but with more details on both hard- and software side. The inner workings; are there custom boards controlling all the stuff or just some simple relays connected to parallel/serial stuff? What does the code look like, execute a few commands, make it 'do the thing'! You know! And try to make some b-roll that has good focused shots of all the pcb's, parts, screens, etc. to play over the talkie bits. The footage was out of focus a bit too much... This stuff has amazing potential, please keep going!
nice video, interesting .. but I don't understand, so in the old banknote models it was enough to know the cables to connect an external pc and then empty it? it seems strange to me, how do you interact with the safe? will we need a program? interesting to see the evolution of these ATMs, thanks
Quentyn Taylor: your videos will be unwatchable if you keep interrupting mid-sentence the very people you've brought to the camera to explain the stuff you want explained.
thank you Ivan, all feedback is a gift. I suspect that this is because i had to be brutal with the edits to shorten from 20+ mins to 17. Sadly a lot of good content was removed for the sake of brevity. Thank you for your feedback i will bear it in mind
The quality and variety of topics covered on your channel is great!
NCR 5877, New atm has USB protection enabled, so can not dispense money out without physical access to safe for dispenser board.
You almost get nostalgic looking at the hardware

yes there is have a look at t.co/oe8WYFBKF2
Thank you.⚘
Hackers now attach directly to host to attack multiple terminals and their own people stay at atm to dispense money out.

yes apparently if you knew where to drill you could just connect to the wires that controlled the cash box ( it was a serial connection) - crazy
It would be interesting to see into the guts of an attack. With enough removed to keep it from being use for Evil of course!
thanks i will discuss with Timur. We were going to look at a USB style attack but there wasnt time.

@@QuentynTaylor There's no need to cut anything out really. Long-form and to learn is what we come here for! :)
