Thanks for the complement. The sound, the smell of diesel burning and the, dirt or mud this is is just a great show to be part of. My volume will not go to 11 so I will just have to wait for the next show.
I find these cable type excavators just fascinating! As a kid in the early 60's I would spend hours watching them dig new basements in our subdivision.
At the show we have park benches on the one side of our digging pile where you can sit for hours watching these machines operate. Seeing them in person is a real treat and running them is not an easy task for me but I still enjoy it.

No other outdoor show has more shovels than the biannual Nat'l Pike steam show. Thank you for posting this wonderful video.
