If you want to hear his powerful range, react to Brother Can you Spare a Dime. He sang at the charity concert, Pavarotti, and Friends! Is nobody like George, this is a talent we will not see ever again. I’m glad I grew up during his era.
One of the best male singer songwriters of our generation. True legend and it came about after he died that he gave millions of his own pounds to charity without mentioning it, this shows great character and not just wanting to shout it from the roof tips for publicity. He was treated shockingly by the media around the world
Can you believe this is from 1996? that's like the mid 90's, still looks and sounds pretty modern, love when music could be this smooth and still become popular. The song sampled was Patrice Rushen's "Forget Me Nots" and you're right Will Smith also used it just a year later, but sorry dude, no comparison between those two, Will can't blow like George no pun intended lol. I just subscribed, looking forward to more GM reactions and definitely some Bowie :)
No she did not. He credits the writers of Forget Me Not as he sampled it on this track. The rest of this song is entirely written and arranged/produced by George!
Spinning the Wheel is so super Jazzy. George was amazing in that he could write a dripping sweet bubblegum pop song, A Soulful R&B song, a funky dance Groove, and super Jazzy songs as well. He was an amazing talent. So many people missed out because they didn't get past the teenage years of bubblegum music he put out. But in those teenage years this amazing artist was emerging.
I am so glad you reacted to George Michael 😊❤️❤️❤️ Fast love is my favorite George Michael song 😍😍😍😍 you should react to him singing Somebody to Love at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 1992...he stole the show that night...
I've been digging Goerge music lately. He just gets to you in everything he's done. Soul, ballad, pop, dance, jazz you name it. This guy is Legend. He won Grammy for Album of the year and be the first white male to win the AMA soul artist.
It was about no strings attached fast love using high visuals, fashion the belts Vivienne Westwood signature, incorporating the old tunes - forget me nots
I really have to tell you about OUTSIDE, I't fantastic. However, check out on BBC Parkinson's show live with George Michael. This rendition is crazy. Notice how he gets into the grove before he sings one word. And at the end " how humble he is" There two moe, A different corner, the long and winding road. Faith after that. You won't be disappointed. I promise!
If you can find it George Michael singing Freedom and like Jesus to a child at the mtv awards in Berlin. It’ll knock your socks off. It was 1994. So good.
I've been researching and trying to find the names of the 4 or more hip hop dancers that show up about middle of this video. I would like to see more of their dancing. This video rocks. 20 years later
He had some great songs, some of his best vocals IMO, are "I can't make you Love Me", and "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". Some of his other top ones that come to mind are "Faith" , "Father Figure", "I Want your Sex", all very 90s music.
Oh!, and another amazing song that he covered that is not live is, "they won't go when I go" (Stevie wonder cover). He doesn't have a actual music video to it, but it shows you a little more taste of range he had.
The thing about this song is not the video, even if it is a nice one. The song is interesting because George was still morning the pass of his partner, and the song suggests that he was not ready to another commitment yet, he begs for some piece of mind that (he hopes) a fastlove could bring to him.
I think at this time he was having issues with Sony so was having little digs at them, not sure what the issue was but I know they wasn’t seeing eye to eye on something - great video mate 👍🏻
terrys461 This was after he left Sony. He felt they didn't support and promote his follow up album. Sony wanted another version of faith due to its success, whereas George wanted to grow as a songwriter and avoid repeating himself
If you want to really hear some amazing vocals, go way back to the 80s and listen to One More Try. Also he did a special UK unplugged, where his vocals are beyond outstanding.
The video for Outside is a good one, the back story is he was arrested for a “toilet cubical tryst” with the arresting officer. The whole video is a piss take of the L.A cops.
George Michael's last Christmas... Hmmmm...how old are you? You're damn too good looking... Slow love is always better than fast love..it never fades...
You mention Men I Black: You're absolutely right! That sequence was borrowed to the MIB-theme by Will Smith. GM did borrow the "Forget me nots" from a 70s artist. Donna Summer??
I totally agree the comparison to Will Smith just doesn't make sense. George Michael was a freaking genius. Writing composing arranging playing the instruments and producing all his music. He's had a career that spanned 40 years. He was a massive massive star in the UK and Europe. Music critics in the UK put him up there with Lennon and McCartney for songwriting and composing. The man had a voice like Silk that just melted you when you heard him alive. He was one of those rare artists that sounded better live than his Studio work. I was so fortunate to see him several times in concert.
You don’t look like you’re trying to get into the music at all. You’re just watching it and making comments about it, like watching CNN news. Doesn’t make it enjoyable for me.
If you want to hear his powerful range, react to Brother Can you Spare a Dime. He sang at the charity concert, Pavarotti, and Friends! Is nobody like George, this is a talent we will not see ever again. I’m glad I grew up during his era.

You might want to hear George singing Somebody to love at Freddie Murcurys tribute concert...he is definily blowing there...😉😉😉

And the reason is Patrice co-wrote Fast Love.
No she did not. He credits the writers of Forget Me Not as he sampled it on this track.
The rest of this song is entirely written and arranged/produced by George!
Love the song and video
The video has a futuristic, techno-cyberpunk look.
This song came out in 1996 when
George Michael was no longer with Sony records. This came from his first album after leaving Sony.
Spinning The Wheel for some great vocal skills.

His live version of George Michael - Killer (Papa was a Rollin Stone)
is amazing. Great stage performance. You might want to also watch and react.
One of the best live performances ever, period. In front of princess Diana too.
Ahhhhh George...RIP. Bet your up there rocking out with Freddie.X💔💔💔
I miss 90s RnB and soul, so much good stuff out there and I listen to it all the time because I can’t be arsed with the majority of the stuff out now.
I've been digging Goerge music lately. He just gets to you in everything he's done. Soul, ballad, pop, dance, jazz you name it. This guy is Legend. He won Grammy for Album of the year and be the first white male to win the AMA soul artist.
Fantastic song and the video will never age as long as people are getting freaky out there, check out his other videos for outside and Freeek.
just needs a Block Buster commercial " Make every Night a Block Buster Night"
Do One More Try if you want to hear him "blow"!
GM wrote deep and meaningful pop and soul music, very different from his contemporaries. The man's deeply missed.
It was about no strings attached fast love using high visuals, fashion the belts Vivienne Westwood signature, incorporating the old tunes - forget me nots
A masterpieace

Love this review, thanks for it. I love George :3 Also yes this came out before Men In Black.
If you can find it George Michael singing Freedom and like Jesus to a child at the mtv awards in Berlin. It’ll knock your socks off. It was 1994. So good.
R.I.P. beautiful, sexy, talented George Michael! He was one of my fav artists, along with Freddie Murcury and Adam Lambert.

It's a live recording.
Check him singing "papa was a rolling stone"
Love this song George is great Thank you for reacting to this Peace
Sounds like R&B ... the videos were amazing back then... ! RIP.
It is RnB.
Love to hear Stevie Wonder Heaven is 10 Zillion Light Years Away.
Thank you for this video, may his music live forever. RIP Yog

Saw him in concert he was brilliant. He sampled forget me nots.Too funky was a great video. please react to Shoot the dog. #davincireacts

I love how diverse George Michael is.
I do like this song but I can't help but feel there are better George Michael songs to react to.
If you’re looking for something more vocal from George Michael try Kissing A Fool, spinning The wheel or Jesus to a child.
If you want to really hear some amazing vocals, go way back to the 80s and listen to One More Try. Also he did a special UK unplugged, where his vocals are beyond outstanding.
I would recommend Outside by George Michael, its very funny :)
We are all human, some of all had broken hearts and fast loves for some relief and search for real ones... I've been there - it's classic
Bro you dont even bop youre head to that funky gem xD how is it possible
Men in black sampled this.
I wouldn't put will Smith in the same box whatsoever george is Streets ahead in music
I am sure you were tapping your feet furiously while this was being played
Freedom by George Michael is my favorite.. Please react to the live version 😊
I have a reaction to a live version in my channel.
George Michael - One more try or I can't make you love me.
don't know if done these already
NO! doesn't sample men In black, samples the fabulous Patrice Rushen, way way way before "Men In Black". Thanks for sharing all the same 👍🏾🦋
How can you ignore it's sampled from Forget me nots Patrice Rushen! George Michael had excellent music taste
Please react to Somebody to love (Freddie Mercury Tribute concert), amazing live performance by George Michael (he sounded even better live)
George Michael - One more try or I can't make you love me.
don't know if done these already
Spinning The Wheel for some great vocal skills.
Like many other, you have lost the whole point of this masterpiece. You live and you learn.
They Won't Go from Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1.
And BTW, the reason you're hearing Patrice Rushen's "Forget Me Nots" in the background...she co-wrote the song.
Song was written, 100% by George Michael. He arranged it and produced it as well. He only sampled forget me Nots. Patrice did not cowrite fast love.
She didn't co-write this song. George sampled it at the end of the song.
The sample is from Patrice Rushen - Forget Me Nots. Will Smith sampled it too.
The sample is from" Patrice Rushen :send me notes"
Haha! “Send me notes?” It’s “Sending you forget me nots.”
@@Sirie7206 🤦🏼♀️😁 exactly . I don't know why I wrote that. Thanks for correcting my mistake 👍🏼😉
@@erickaleeroy8710 lol. It’s all good.😊
WTF does Will Smith have to do with George Michael. 🤦♂🤦♂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sampled Patrice Rushen Forget Me Nots.
Released 1996 💖
The video for Outside is a good one, the back story is he was arrested for a “toilet cubical tryst” with the arresting officer. The whole video is a piss take of the L.A cops.
Will smith isn’t even in the same bracket as George Michael when it comes to music. No comparison bro.
"I'm half expecting a Taco Bell logo to pop up somewhere." Lmfao.
And his live versions are much better 😎
Fastlove is originally sampled from Patrice Rushen.
The other way around. He samples Patrice Rushen’s Forget me nots, at the end of this track.
The forget-me -nots bit is George Michael's originally.
No it's Patrice Rushen. But George did sample it before Will Smith... just about.
@@rolybling Thanks for making me less ignorant. :)
Direnova to clarify only the words to forget me nots and not the music
#davincireacts to are we the baddies? From the Mitchell and Webb show. ;)

George Michael - Careless Whisper #davincireacts
*#DaVinciREACTS* Please do The Prodigy Smack My Bitch Up.
Time for your weekly pilkington-moment ;) Sorry just teasing.
Nothing like will smith are you crazy.
The sample was just the lyrics though.
Try Wham - Blue
George Michael's last Christmas... Hmmmm...how old are you? You're damn too good looking... Slow love is always better than fast love..it never fades...
Pinky Paite is that a Prince refrence? If so I love you😆👏🏽
George Michael freedom
Freedom is my absolute favorite song by George 😎
Were they getting freaky with a hairdryer? Hope it’s not plugged in...lol
There's a lot of innuendos and euphemisms in George Michael videos.
Okay move a little, dude. Loosen up a bit. This is great music. Come on now
I would think they would have sprung for a better quality mattress in a video, or at least put a sheet on it.
Will smith stole that part from George Michael
*Fast lane* 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
You mention Men I Black: You're absolutely right! That sequence was borrowed to the MIB-theme by Will Smith. GM did borrow the "Forget me nots" from a 70s artist. Donna Summer??
You mean Patrice Rushen
The song came out in the 80s
comparing george michael to will smith? that is one monumental wrong! ....
MEN IN BLACK copied this song
Amazing talent, song and human being
Blade films bro
George Michael can sing. Will Smith can't hence he raps.
Man you lost me when you compared George Michael to a Will Smith! They are not similar in any wayDude as far as music there is no comparison!
I totally agree the comparison to Will Smith just doesn't make sense. George Michael was a freaking genius. Writing composing arranging playing the instruments and producing all his music. A very symbolic and hipesexualised video..
Will Smith is great and all but he's no black George Michael. Not even close to being in the same league, sorry.
You don’t look like you’re trying to get into the music at all. You’re just watching it and making comments about it, like watching CNN news. Doesn’t make it enjoyable for me.
You like Ricky Gervais? But this was to much. You have to get real. George Michael was struggling all his life.
A good song but not his best. Not by a long way.
He has better songs than this. Jesus to a child and careless whisper
It's a matter of opinion but this is on my top five George Michael bangers. Tbh everything he did was first class.
Not one of his best.
Absolutely one of his best. Listen to it loud in an open space and try not to dance. I double dog dare ya!
Will Smith copied the over used sample buy Patricia Russian willl Smith not a patch on g michael will copied george this was out b4 men in black
