My husband and I have been together for 27 years and this movie made me realize how lucky we are. Neither of us had parents like Justin's father, but neither of us came out till we were in our 20's. And when we did both of our families were accepting of who we were and both of our families love the fact that we are now married. Wonderful movie!!

Fear, disappointment, rejection, lack of understanding, quarrels, separation, worry, bullying, joy, wit, fun, humor, longing, trust, understanding, reconciliation, support, caring, security, acceptance, romance, affection, LOVE. All in an absolutely gorgeous and profound gay film with incredible message! It is an absolute must see for all who don't understand and reject gays and of course for gays themselves. But it is also a great teaching piece for social relationships and belongs together with Moonlight in the curricula of all countries worldwide! A film that made me laugh at first and then finally cry terribly.

This is underated, it has nothing to compare with any LGBTQ movies, this has all the unique facts about our curent situation, i love the idea of the story of a fear gay-man from his father who is strictly homophobic, i love how he surpass all the challenges despites the judgment and struggle, it is a battle between love over love. I love everything about this movie. It taught me so many things, one is "We cant always have a happy ending but we can be happy after everything" ❤🇵🇭

this for me is a gay movie. I refuse to say lgbtq movie. Being gay does not mean wanting to identify themselves as lgbtq. sorry, but I had to say this. nowadays, the gay cause and rights aren't no more the main priority for them.

I watched More Than Only twice in the last week and really loved it for so many reasons--the writing, the filming, the incredible chemistry between Justin and Michael and the story and messages throughout the film. I then binge watched all 6 episodes and got hooked. Now I can't wait to see Episodes 7 - 9. I just made a donation to support this next phase and look forward to being part of the Zoom event next year. Your film may just save lives if it hasn't already. What I love about this movie is that I felt a roller coaster of emotions... At first it was so cringy to see the main character being too aggressive by confessing his feelings for the nurse in a kind of conceited fashion... I mean it'd be the last thing I would ever do in my life (to swallow my pride)... but as the movie progressed, that disgust I had for his action turned into something beautiful... I am not really articulate enough in expressing my sentiments... I am groping for the right words to say actually, but hoping you are getting my point. This movie is one of the best gay movies out there the members of the LGBT community should know about! 🖤
I do get what you are saying - I am glad Justin's actions came across that way. He is aggressive and abrasive and in the end only after one night stands (not love) He didn't know how to look for or seek love - he was afraid of it. Michael changed all that and there by changed Justin! Justin thought that being gay would have to be meaningless sex - he found what he never expected!

It wasn’t easy back in the 70’s I did my teenage years in NYC in the 70’s when a lot of guys were being killed because of who and what they were, I had a very rough time then falling for friends along the way but never feeling like I could say anything. Now I’m older and single for a while now I’m completely out though did that when I was 35 and moved to FL but it’s not easy being single 🏳️🌈😎🌹

This was a wonderful movie! I would definitely recommend it. I think it is very much real life which is sad. But I think this also shows how strong people can be and overcome issues or learn to accept that people will not change but that they can change and move forward. I truly loved this movie. I am going to have to watch the continued episodes to see what happens next. Thank you for this. The actors, the music, the production and especially the writers of this story were amazing. The locations they went were beautiful as well. Really can't say enough about it really did touch my heart!

I don't know what you are going through, but hold on to your friends and family that are true. Don't be afraid to let go of everyone else. Even if it is a small group, like in this movie, that can carry you through. When my son came out, his circle of friends and family shrank, but he still has enough support to know he is loved. Find your safe zone and happiness in the people around you that truly care about you. I wish you well.
I don't remember how I found out about this movie, but I just love it. Must have watched it at least ten times and still laugh, cry and get goosebumps like the first time I saw it. Congrats on that masterpiece!

While I was watching this movie, the dialogue "the only person who owes you anything is you." I was surprised that what I had been telling myself in the last few years appeared in the dialogue. Congratulations. It's a good movie
Justin and Michael taught us the lesson that we need to be treated for who we are, not what we are. Justin's parents were fighting their demons of trying to keep up 'image' with strangers rather then accepting and encouraging Justin's budding talents. It is a shame Justin had to hide his talents and that could have destroyed him, it nearly did. Michael really turned out to be a root and pillar of strength for Jusin, despite his own wall - the of fear and rejection/ridicule. His level head and being able to see the true aura of Justin prevailed. It was a truly refreshing and loveable movie. The kind friends being so supportive helped so much as well. A happy ending in a gay film, for once. My eyes were wet at the end. Extended family is the best.
I love this so much! The mix of emotions happy, sad, scared, anger and sorrow, and showing that everyone has their own path in life and just because our parents are the one that made us doesn't mean they are the controllers of our lives, we should love who we want and do whatever makes us happy without hurting anyone

I'm 52. Man, have movies portraying gay guys come a LOOOOONG way. I'm happy that all the younger generations have grown up and are growing up with positive and affirming characters of who we are, as non heterosexual individuals. Thanks for such a loving and fun film.

Not everyone are willing to give it all, Just broke up with my 5yrs relationship and we are hiding all those time. Until one day, his family converted to Christianity and made him realised that what we had are all sin. He broke up with me on his fear that his family will disown him if we continue with our relationship. It’s not always a happy ending for us. It’s more on a sad reality that people will always judge us no matter how good we are for each other. So it’s time for me to move on and cherish those memories that we shared together. He will forever be in my heart. Still wishing him the best of luck on his journey with his faith and starting his normal life as what his family and beliefs would want him to be.
This is too much painful when no body understand that love has no boundaries like gender, language, age or skin tone. Love is pure in itself. Sometimes we make Love so much difficult. We never understand that LOVE IS A BETTER AND A LOVELY GIFT to US from GOD. We have no right to JUDGE THE LOVE. ♥️THANK YOU.

I've just finished watching this film and I cried. It hit so close to home and it has two of my favourite things: found family and gay happy ending. In an odd way this movie reminds me of "Torch Song Trilogy". The courage and strength of the pivotal characters, the self-knowledge and self care that shouts "All I need from the people in my life is love and respect. Anyone who cannot give me those two things has no business being in my life".

This is an incredibly touching and sincere movie that explains so much and so well why it is ridiculous for people not to accept those who are different. I came out of the closet at age 72 to be true to myself, but I'm still looking for my one true love.

Spontaneous dialogue and and a very touching tale. When I was an adolescent there was nothing out there like this movie. We had to hide at all costs and feel guilty for being ourselves. Thanks for a film about love between two men and their friends. So refreshing and honest!

@@MoreThanOnlyLGBT I have watched the short film series as well of course. I was a little surprised to see that you kept the same actress who plays Mandy, we already saw at the end of the movie. She is such a talented young actress. I also liked to see how Justin has grown up into beeing more like himself, loosing most of his childish behaviour. Usually in movies and series there is so much plot that you don't even have the time time to get to know the characters, but with More Than Only they actually take their time to give an inside view of each and every character. I'm looking forward to see the story continue.

Spoilers: I much prefer this to the easier and more generic ending where Justin's father has a change of heart and accepts him, because people like Justin and his father are everywhere, and they deserve to be validated. Learning that blood doesn't define family is an important lesson that more people need to learn, despite its enormous difficulty. I'm glad Justin found his family, this is better than any Hollywood flick I've seen in a long time and I hope everyone involved in its creation is proud.
This movie drew so many feelings out of me. The storyline was easy to follow and, at times, difficult to watch. My heart felt for both Justin and Michael, and the difficulties they had to manage in order to express their true love for each other. I know that I would have been crushed if I had to endure what these two had to deal with; getting to know each other, family pressures, respecting each other's boundaries, and yet accomplishing so much, and the "happily ever after moment."The tension was real and I felt it throughout this movie. The acting was phenomenal; these two men drew me in to feel their joy and heartache. I wanted to shake Justin's father and hug their group of friends. I actually watched it to very end, and smiled at the married family life they built for each other. There is no doubt that I want this movie in my DVD/ BLU-RAY collection. A-1 collaboration and an exceptional finished product.

This is my only response to so called Christians when i debate them about all the hate they practice. It usually shuts them up until they bring up some other bible verse. Then I quote them another. It pays to know the Bible inside and out to throw it back to haters and fake Christians.

Especially if you’re so pissed off you gotta’ blame it all on either Him, or all the hatin’ Christians; ‘cause people gonna’ struggle with this yolk of being human - till we learn the ropes, see our own issues, & hopefully get one step closer to working our way back Home. I know it's 'just' a movie, but, somehow, this FANTASTIC story gives me hope that someday someone will look at me with the same loving gaze and give me that same great love, built on trust, support and tenderness. 💜 Rarely have I seen a film so beautiful, so sincere, so touching. I am so happy to have stumbled upon this movie over the weekend and the series and I am now working on my second round watching it and I am sure there will be many more times as I am already planning my third. This has made me laugh, cry, reflect, and cringe all in the most beautiful of ways. I like many (I am sure) have had struggles very similar to what happens in the movie and the series. For me it was my mom. I am 32 years old and I am still dealing with things that have happened in my childhood that have define every aspect of my life. From watching this I felt as though I wasn't alone and that there are people like me and that there is hope. After watching this movie, I had a conversation with my husband that I probably wouldn't have thought to have otherwise. So I said all of that to say thank you so much for doing all this it means the world to me, it will always be in my heart, and I am excited to see what comes next!

Am a straight person but when I watch this kind of films I support LGBTQ whole heartedly❤️❤️❤️where love has no gender,,, its a good film I loved it already

What I really enjoyed more that the movie itself, (and I did like the movie), was the collection of short videos of the cast and crew, showing the energy and love these folks put into making this film. That's both impressive and wonderful to see. If anyone hasn't seen the collection of short videos on how this project was put together, look for it right now. You'll like this film even more than you do already. PS: Loved what the actor playing "dad" did with his character. His scowling and ice cold demeanor had to have been fun to play. (April 17, 2024)

What a beautiful story. So fantastically told. My God, the way Michael was there for Justin was... I don't have words. It was so well done. I loved the way you explained trust. It was unbelievable. I'm a sucker for happy endings and this was amazing. Justin is a beautiful soul and he needed saving. I'm glad sweet, patient Michael was the one in all senses of the word. 😭😭😭😭😭😭. I ran across this movie a few weeks ago and it immediately became a movie I have, and will continue, to watch on a regular basis. Not only is the story really uplifting, but it’s just a really sweet story. I love the old fashioned feel of it. The way Justin wooed Michael, Michael’s chaste first kiss on Justin’s cheek, and the way they waited until love was declared before becoming intimate really resonated with me. The chemistry between the actors playing Justin and Michael is off the charts, along with those who played Justin’s college friends. Those friends scenes reminded me so much of my college days. Unfortunately, I could also relate to Justin’s disapproving parents, and their great disappearing act out of his life-I’ve seen that up close and personal. I just want to give my appreciation for a job so incredibly well done by everyone involved. Sometimes when something moves you deeply, your soul can’t rest until you’ve said “Thanks”.

I met a male nurse in Washington DC and we lived together for some months. Doug was the best love and I was so stupid to let him go. He was a very caring nurse and had many female friends w ho were also nurses. He treated me with such a nice way always. He was a w a r m person. He was a diabetic and had to give himself shots often. I think about him often . He passed early at 59 and I am still alive at 82 strange feeling. This is a real good film, and the actors are pure gold. I hope they are nice people they were so good to watch. Thank you.

Yes - Brooke was indeed their surrogate! Justin was very fortunate to be surrounded by such wonderful and supportive friends. They are a HUGE reason he was able to navigate the world and find Michael and in the end accept the love he wanted and deserved.

I'm watching this movie for the tenth time and it still makes me feel heartbroken when Michael tells his story or when Justin is discovered at the parents dinner and the following hospital part. 😭 And my heart bursts of love feelings about this sweet tension between them or when Justin says the first "I love you". It's also so incredible hard to see the prejudice and struggles with Justin's parents (and also the fact that LGBTQ people are facing this shit in real life). Such a beautiful, awesome, deep feeling and anyway quiet movie ❤ I can't find the right words to describe all the feelings I have during this movie but I absolutely love it and the actors ❤ A great great masterpiece ❤ big thanks to all of you ❤ And oh my gosh how beautiful is the proposal song and scene 😍😍😍 I'm always so happy again while watching 😅😍🤭

Thank you for this!!! This movie made me laugh, it made me scream of anger because of the bigotry, it made me heart-eye-giggle, it made me cry but most importantly it made me smile so much. And it left me stunned and with a big smile on my face which doesn’t happen often because lgbtq movies almost never have a happy ending. My husband and I have been together for 27 years and this movie made me realize how lucky we are. Neither of us had parents like Justin's father, but neither of us came out till we were in our 20's. And when we did both of our families were accepting of who we were and both of our families love the fact that we are now married. Wonderful movie!!

Fear, disappointment, rejection, lack of understanding, quarrels, separation, worry, bullying, joy, wit, fun, humor, longing, trust, understanding, reconciliation, support, caring, security, acceptance, romance, affection, LOVE.
All in an absolutely gorgeous and profound gay film with incredible message! It is an absolute must see for all who don't understand and reject gays and of course for gays themselves. But it is also a great teaching piece for social relationships and belongs together with Moonlight in the curricula of all countries worldwide!
A film that made me laugh at first and then finally cry terribly.

This is underated, it has nothing to compare with any LGBTQ movies, this has all the unique facts about our curent situation, i love the idea of the story of a fear gay-man from his father who is strictly homophobic, i love how he surpass all the challenges despites the judgment and struggle, it is a battle between love over love.
I love everything about this movie.
It taught me so many things, one is "We cant always have a happy ending but we can be happy after everything"

I watched More Than Only twice in the last week and really loved it for so many reasons--the writing, the filming, the incredible chemistry between Justin and Michael and the story and messages throughout the film. I then binge watched all 6 episodes and got hooked. Now I can't wait to see Episodes 7 - 9. I just made a donation to support this next phase and look forward to being part of the Zoom event next year. Your film may just save lives if it hasn't already. This was my 2nd time watching this, 1st time was last year. Beautiful story; I cried again watching this. Unconditional love, commitment and persistence is what it’s all about.

What I love about this movie is that I felt a roller coaster of emotions... At first it was so cringy to see the main character being too aggressive by confessing his feelings for the nurse in a kind of conceited fashion... I mean it'd be the last thing I would ever do in my life (to swallow my pride)... but as the movie progressed, that disgust I had for his action turned into something beautiful... I am not really articulate enough in expressing my sentiments... I am groping for the right words to say actually, but hoping you are getting my point. This movie is one of the best gay movies out there the members of the LGBT community should know about! 🖤
I do get what you are saying - I am glad Justin's actions came across that way. He is aggressive and abrasive and in the end only after one night stands (not love) He didn't know how to look for or seek love - he was afraid of it. Michael changed all that and there by changed Justin! Justin thought that being gay would have to be meaningless sex - he found what he never expected!

Post production is underway and editing planning to be finished by early october. Then on to sound, color & original score composition. We are hopeful to have it ready to release by the end of the year! I am currently writing the next three and hopeful we might be able to film early next year and keep MTO going! :)

It wasn’t easy back in the 70’s I did my teenage years in NYC in the 70’s when a lot of guys were being killed because of who and what they were, I had a very rough time then falling for friends along the way but never feeling like I could say anything. Now I’m older and single for a while now I’m completely out though did that when I was 35 and moved to FL but it’s not easy being single 🏳️🌈😎🌹

This was a wonderful movie! I would definitely recommend it. I think it is very much real life which is sad. But I think this also shows how strong people can be and overcome issues or learn to accept that people will not change but that they can change and move forward. I truly loved this movie. I am going to have to watch the continued episodes to see what happens next. Thank you for this. The actors, the music, the production and especially the writers of this story were amazing. I don't know what you are going through, but hold on to your friends and family that are true. Don't be afraid to let go of everyone else. Even if it is a small group, like in this movie, that can carry you through. When my son came out, his circle of friends and family shrank, but he still has enough support to know he is loved. Find your safe zone and happiness in the people around you that truly care about you. I wish you well.

Justin and Michael taught us the lesson that we need to be treated for who we are, not what we are. Justin's parents were fighting their demons of trying to keep up 'image' with strangers rather then accepting and encouraging Justin's budding talents. It is a shame Justin had to hide his talents and that could have destroyed him, it nearly did. Michael really turned out to be a root and pillar of strength for Jusin, despite his own wall - the of fear and rejection/ridicule. His level head and being able to see the true aura of Justin prevailed. It was a truly refreshing and loveable movie. The kind friends being so supportive helped so much as well. A happy ending in a gay film, for once. My eyes were wet at the end. Extended family is the best.

The mix of emotions happy, sad, scared, anger and sorrow, and showing that everyone has their own path in life and just because our parents are the one that made us doesn't mean they are the controllers of our lives, we should love who we want and do whatever makes us happy without hurting anyone

Not everyone are willing to give it all, Just broke up with my 5yrs relationship and we are hiding all those time. Until one day, his family converted to Christianity and made him realised that what we had are all sin. He broke up with me on his fear that his family will disown him if we continue with our relationship. It’s not always a happy ending for us. It’s more on a sad reality that people will always judge us no matter how good we are for each other. So it’s time for me to move on and cherish those memories that we shared together. He will forever be in my heart. Still wishing him the best of luck on his journey with his faith and starting his normal life as what his family and beliefs would want him to be.

I've just finished watching this film and I cried. It hit so close to home and it has two of my favourite things: found family and gay happy ending. This is a true gem, and now I'm headed over to your channel to watch the series you've apparently created, which I'm sure is amazing as well and I can't believe took me until now to find it. In an odd way this movie reminds me of "Torch Song Trilogy". The courage and strength of the pivotal characters, the self-knowledge and self care that shouts "All I need from the people in my life is love and respect. Anyone who cannot give me those two things has no business being in my life".

It's bittersweet because his family never truly accepted him and in the end lost him but it's their loss not his... It's their burden to bear because he is now happy and has a family that supports him n loves him for who who he truly is...

This is an incredibly touching and sincere movie that explains so much and so well why it is ridiculous for people not to accept those who are different. I came out of the closet at age 72 to be true to myself, but I'm still looking for my one true love.

Spontaneous dialogue and and a very touching tale. When I was an adolescent there was nothing out there like this movie. We had to hide at all costs and feel guilty for being ourselves. Thanks for a film about love between two men and their friends. So refreshing and honest!

@@MoreThanOnlyLGBT I have watched the short film series as well of course. I was a little surprised to see that you kept the same actress who plays Mandy, we already saw at the end of the movie. She is such a talented young actress.
I also liked to see how Justin has grown up into beeing more like himself, loosing most of his childish behaviour.
Usually in movies and series there is so much plot that you don't even have the time time to get to know the characters, but with More Than Only they actually take their time to give an inside view of each and every character.
I'm looking forward to see the story continue.

Spoilers:
I much prefer this to the easier and more generic ending where Justin's father has a change of heart and accepts him, because people like Justin and his father are everywhere, and they deserve to be validated. Learning that blood doesn't define family is an important lesson that more people need to learn, despite its enormous difficulty. I'm glad Justin found his family, this is better than any Hollywood flick I've seen in a long time and I hope everyone involved in its creation is proud.
This movie drew so many feelings out of me. The storyline was easy to follow and, at times, difficult to watch. My heart felt for both Justin and Michael, and the difficulties they had to manage in order to express their true love for each other. I know that I would have been crushed if I had to endure what these two had to deal with; getting to know each other, family pressures, respecting each other's boundaries, and yet accomplishing so much, and the "happily ever after moment."The tension was real and I felt it throughout this movie. The acting was phenomenal; these two men drew me in to feel their joy and heartache. I wanted to shake Justin's father and hug their group of friends. I actually watched it to very end, and smiled at the married family life they built for each other. There is no doubt that I want this movie in my DVD/ BLU-RAY collection. A-1 collaboration and an exceptional finished product.

This is my only response to so called Christians when i debate them about all the hate they practice. It usually shuts them up until they bring up some other bible verse. Then I quote them another. It pays to know the Bible inside and out to throw it back to haters and fake Christians.

Especially if you’re so pissed off you gotta’ blame it all on either Him, or all the hatin’ Christians; ‘cause people gonna’ struggle with this yolk of being human - till we learn the ropes, see our own issues, & hopefully get one step closer to working our way back Home. I am so happy to have stumbled upon this movie over the weekend and the series and I am now working on my second round watching it and I am sure there will be many more times as I am already planning my third. This has made me laugh, cry, reflect, and cringe all in the most beautiful of ways. I like many (I am sure) have had struggles very similar to what happens in the movie and the series. For me it was my mom. I am 32 years old and I am still dealing with things that have happened in my childhood that have define every aspect of my life. From watching this I felt as though I wasn't alone and that there are people like me and that there is hope. After watching this movie, I had a conversation with my husband that I probably wouldn't have thought to have otherwise. Am a straight person but when I watch this kind of films I support LGBTQ whole heartedly❤️❤️❤️where love has no gender,,, its a good film I loved it already

What I really enjoyed more that the movie itself, (and I did like the movie), was the collection of short videos of the cast and crew, showing the energy and love these folks put into making this film. That's both impressive and wonderful to see. If anyone hasn't seen the collection of short videos on how this project was put together, look for it right now. You'll like this film even more than you do already. PS: Loved what the actor playing "dad" did with his character. His scowling and ice cold demeanor had to have been fun to play. (April 17, 2024)

What a beautiful story. So fantastically told. My God, the way Michael was there for Justin was... I don't have words. It was so well done. I loved the way you explained trust. It was unbelievable. I ran across this movie a few weeks ago and it immediately became a movie I have, and will continue, to watch on a regular basis. Not only is the story really uplifting, but it’s just a really sweet story. I love the old fashioned feel of it. The way Justin wooed Michael, Michael’s chaste first kiss on Justin’s cheek, and the way they waited until love was declared before becoming intimate really resonated with me. The chemistry between the actors playing Justin and Michael is off the charts, along with those who played Justin’s college friends. Those friends scenes reminded me so much of my college days. Unfortunately, I could also relate to Justin’s disapproving parents, and their great disappearing act out of his life-I’ve seen that up close and personal. I just want to give my appreciation for a job so incredibly well done by everyone involved. Sometimes when something moves you deeply, your soul can’t rest until you’ve said “Thanks”.

I met a male nurse in Washington DC and we lived together for some months. Doug was the best love and I was so stupid to let him go. He was a very caring nurse and had many female friends w ho were also nurses. He treated me with such a nice way always. He was a w a r m person. He was a diabetic and had to give himself shots often. I think about him often . He passed early at 59 and I am still alive at 82 strange feeling. This is a real good film, and the actors are pure gold. I hope they are nice people they were so good to watch. Thank you.

Justin is so lucky ... he is blessed with such good friends in his life. Most people would be lucky to even have just one friend like Brooke, much less a group of friends who love and accept so fully.
Yes - Brooke was indeed their surrogate! Justin was very fortunate to be surrounded by such wonderful and supportive friends. They are a HUGE reason he was able to navigate the world and find Michael and in the end accept the love he wanted and deserved.
Thanks for taking me to fantasy land. There are no gay men nowadays who would ever jump through so many hoops just to get somebody. They just won't put in the effort and aren't motivated enough. Sad, but true.

It is my hope and plan to produce at least 12 of these films featuring Justin and Michael's story, In that time I can give Justin closure to his past and provide a foundation for future productions! Much has happened in the last year, we have established a non-profit production company with plans to produce a line up of LGBT media to include a podcast, documentaries and other feature films that encourage, support and represent for the community they were intended. My film has been requested to be shown in schools and festivals and I am hoping to arrange for more. It is our greatest hope to keep this content available for all here on youtube, despite being encouraged to take it down and put it on sites that charge high monthly viewing fees. For us to continue it will require funding and I fully believe that if every fan who believes in our potential and the continuing of LGBT content could sent $1 (one dollar), more if you are able, to our PO box we could get a kick start into our plans! I'm watching this movie for the tenth time and it still makes me feel heartbroken when Michael tells his story or when Justin is discovered at the parents dinner and the following hospital part. 😭 And my heart bursts of love feelings about this sweet tension between them or when Justin says the first "I love you". It's also so incredible hard to see the prejudice and struggles with Justin's parents (and also the fact that LGBTQ people are facing this shit in real life).
Such a beautiful, awesome, deep feeling and anyway quiet movie ❤ I can't find the right words to describe all the feelings I have during this movie but I absolutely love it and the actors ❤ A great great masterpiece ❤ big thanks to all of you ❤
