    for audrey i would recommend you consider ADS speed since her awakening 1 removes the ammo portion and at higher levels of play her focus is using the ADS so that you can take fights at an advantage with the shield on the gun. The ADS speed helps deploy that shield just a bit faster and your ammo doesn't matter since you get the overheat mechanic after awakening 1 anyhow

      also the rate of fire vs extra dmg debate is a lot more nuanced since you can't really look at raw dps you have to consider the ttk and whether the extra dmg actually changes any of the major breakpoints. same for the reload speed vs max ammo since it really depends how much you reload vs full spray your entire clip for kills. at higher levels of play there's a lot more poking and breaking utility so on certain characters who have slower reloads the amount of time saved from taking reload speed can be pretty significant

      @@jimmezhao1249 This. The argument of RoF vs DMG is mainly if you're hitting ALL of your shots. On higher ranks, almost everyone has good movement rather than aim. Higher RoF allows you to hit at the very least 1 or 2 more shots even if your aim is shoddy from moving all around or if your enemy is one slippery bastard

    For Base Damage/Rate of fire, it kinda depends on certain characters. For Lawine I rather just go for Base since her actual damage quite low, but for Ming or Fuchsia, I would alternate between both cuz their damage is kinda negligible.

      Yeah, it's not a huge deal either way. Although increasing the fire rate actually makes the recoil happen at the same difficult pattern but faster, so I like damage especially on Ming.

      As much this is definitely up for preference, 1 point of extra damage on Lawine's gun is doing nothing for you, Ming and Fuchsia are the type of characters you have to consider because the RoF buff makes long-range harder, Fuchsia for sure isn't weak in longer range engagements but with RoF you trade her steady RoF to become a menace close up

    One thing with Base Damage vs Fire Rate I feel like people should spend more time focusing on is bullets to kill. From my testing Fuchsia and Lawine require the same amount of bullets with or without base damage increase so for them fire rate is the better upgrade.

      You are correct, and I probably should have mentioned this; I feel like I'm brushing over certain things in my videos for the sake of keeping them shorter and I'm going to try to improve that.
      The reason I still went with base damage is because the time to kill in Strinova is so long, that often people take chip damage and get out alive, and that can affect break points for other characters. I hope that eventually I can get enough data to figure out all the breakpoints so I can revisit this video topic.

    One thing to have in mind with bullet damage vs rate of fire is that certain guns kill in the same shot at certain ranges with both, as such rate of fire will just be outright better

    for the armor a lot of people who played CN before global have said to only go heavy on characters that regen armor -> Nobu, Ming, Celestia and Kokona. Everyone else you go light so you can take trades without losing out on total hp

      Celestia can only rege with allies, and Ming needs to hit shots before awakening 2/3 so in the case you have 1 hp and heavy armor, you're done if you follow that rule

      @@KradDrows That's actually misinformation. Celestia does in fact regen her own armor from her own passive.
      Passive Skill: Cosmic Recovery
      Type: Regenerate
      Description: Celestia gradually restores her own armor and that of nearby allies.
      She also has a yellow upgrade called "Cosmic Recovery" which does: Regen Speed +100% for her armor regen passive.
      As for the ming part, yes she needs to hit shots as that's her passive to armor steal and her yellow upgrade increases armor steal by 50%. The Awakening 2 is the main bread and butter to helping you trade and fight all in. It gives you about 30-50 armor I'd estimate most of the time (pretty sure per enemy hit). Awakening 3 is kind of situation based and your playstyle, most of the time you don't throw your orb field and go towards it, but rather throw it to slow, gain the armor from awakening 2 and use the surrounding with movement to fight to take less dmg if possible which definitely doesn't fit the awakening 3 scenarios (most of the time). You could argue that you can use it to just regenerate armor before a fight and/or rotate, but again that's situational and scenario based, her whole kit is basically armor steal and you shooting and fighting enemies anyway. I'd say always go Awakening 2 95% of the time.

      @@KradDrows that's why at the end of the day it is still preference. I've played CN and I currently play global and I tend to swap between the two shields on Ming and Celestia based on how the enemy plays. Usually i like to run heavy shields on ming especially when I have a celestia or if they have a yvette for the bear free shield heals. Whereas for Celestia, I usually just hug my ming (I only played her on offense post nerf) so I acted as a second entry in which the extra health seemed to help a lot. Furthermore, if my team wants to hard entry a lot I will run heavy shields to try and guarantee a better initial push even if it ends up with me getting killed later on.

    There are two main issues with this video.
    For everyone but lawine and fuchsia, base damage is significantly better as it removes a bullet, which usually results in a 10-15 percent faster kill time compared to firing rate, which is usually a 7 percent increase. I did some testing, and this is true across all forms of armor. Once again, Fuchsia and Lawine prefer firing rate as base damage does nothing for them. Extra thing is that rate of fire does not give you any recoil compensation, so it does increase the recoil by a good bit.
    The second thing is that base damage for nobunaga does nothing, and full auto actually reduces recoil by about 30 percent. Since base damage does nothing, this one is entirely preference.

    This was super interesting, thanks for making this. I always pick the same as you for most of these, but there were a few I was picking 'wrong':
    1. I often take Recoil Handling over Spread Control. Even with 2,000 hours on CS:GO I find recoil really hard in this game due to how fast characters can move around- I'm not just pulling down on an enemy that's standing still to fight me, but pulling down and moving the mouse left and right at the same time to track enemies, which I find quite tricky (especially with characters like Lawine who have VERY aggressive recoil)
    2. I've been picking Rechambering Speed over Increased Charging Speed, but only because I usually whiff my shots and want to be able to quickly shoot again... I hadn't considered the damage increase from recharging much tbh, by what percent do you deal more damage from it? I guess it must be worth it?
    3. I've never used 3 shot burst on Celestia lol, I'm used to games having it as a downgrade like the burst toggle on the CS:GO famas 😆I'll be sure to give it a try next time, but I usually play quite aggressive and up-close with Celestia so I'm not sure how having no auto will effect my playstyle
    4. Sometimes if I pick Eika but find myself unable to close distance I buy Single Shot, especially if I feel like playing her on the team deathmatch mode on a map with lots of long dustances. Having said that, since Eika's ability sets fire to enemies nearby, I realise how pointless the Single Shot is... it doesn't work at all with her kit!
    Super good video, thansk for the tips. Would you consider making character buy videos? I've been playing Meredith a ton and I always save to get her smoke walls as soon as possible (both yellow buys), but you said getting shields early is essential so now I'm wondering what the optimal buy order is, these kind of guides might be super useful if you can spare the time!

      I plan on eventually making character guides for every character, which will include what to buy and in what order. I'll intersperse those with my other videos.
      The recoil handling in this game is no joke, Ming is the first character in any game that I actually had to practice the recoil with instead of picking it up instinctually.
      When I say charging speed does more damage, I mean more damage per second because it takes less time to charge up a shot. It does deal more damage if you quick scope since it charges a little more quickly.
      The Celestia burst is definitely somewhat personal preference, which is why I put an asterisk by the choice. If you play up close a lot then it's totally fine to forgo it.
      I consider Eika a pretty weak character since she has a shotgun but not a good way to close distance. I hope she gets a rework soon.

      Yeah recoil is wild, I'm used to Counter Strike style recoil where it shoots up and then sways left and right after the first few shots, but in this game it just keeps going up forever!

      I'll give you what I think of your questions, having not played CS:GO take my view with a grain of salt.
      1. I'd suggest running a few challenge games with shoulder fire on your right mouse button, a lot of "they are moving around too fast" or "my gun kicks too much" are completely mitigated with shoulder fire and Spread Control. If you stick with mostly ADS after that, Recoil Handling is far superior, my opinion is you just have to pick longer range fights and characters that can compliment that, even then a long range Fuchia isn't as horrible as it sounds given her skill set
      2. (all damage at above 50m for obvious reasons) Kanami = body 95 -> 177 head 238 -> 443 (her AoE thing also adds 20 dmg so bear that in mind), Kokona = body 96 -> 154 head 241 -> 386. Having not played snipers extensively I can't give an accurate picture, but the only character you will need over 300 dmg for is a set up Audrey in the escort game mode, but a half charge with Kanami is probably all you need to one shot headshot anyone else at end game upgrades, however, if you are using the snipers as quick as possible it's good to wait until it starts to charge as you will still have hip-fire accuracy until then, as said, you will get a bit more charge damage than without the upgrade
      3. if your enemy is standing still at 50m shooting at their upper torso while ADS will get you a headshot with the 3rd bullet, but in my experience, you completely lose your ability to take on anyone in close range and with the starting 25 rounds doing 25 dmg at 666 RPM already makes it a slightly worse gun at any range (I am the type of person to get used to burst and get good with it so I may have to go back to it sooner or later)
      4. Eika and Bai Mo when ADS are pinpoint accurate with slugs, my understanding is you are using Eika the way I use Maddelena or how I use Fushia, in fact, Bai Mo may even be a better pick for you as slugs with the range upgrade are going to 2 shot to the head, playing a medium range Fushia or Maddalena is maybe what you want to do, though its one of those things if it works for you stick to it

      1. Yep I have shoulder fire on right mouse click, when I hold it it's shoulder and clicking it zooms down the gun sights. I've always been terrible with long ranges, even in CS I struggle to hit a 1-tap with the AK from long distances, so I purposefully try to take closer fights. The problem is, in this game, when a fight is up close the enemy can just run around you while blasting, sometimes I end up with my mouse right at the edge of my mouse mat and I can't turn around any further as they keep running and shooting at me! It's really taking a lot to get used to this gameplay style, I tend to lose 1-v-1's due to aim so, even though I like playing aggressive, I've been trying to hang back more and let allies entry while I support.
      It's super weird that this is seen as toxic in CS but in Strinova, where I can play as a support like Celestia, it's actually a preferred way to play the game that benefits everyone. I've also been relying hard on my game sense to win matches (a lot of players are very 'all aim no brain' so it's quite easy to exploit them), simply using smokes, holding sensible angles, not taking stupid fights, and playing the objective, has been enough for me to supplement my poor aim so far!
      2. Thank you for the numbers, that's very interesting to see how important that charge damage can be! I've actually stopped using the snipers in ranked because I'm performing so poorly with them, mostly I've been playing:
      Attack: Meredith, Ming, Lawine, Fuschia
      Defence: Celestia, Fuschia, and sometimes Michelle and Kokona
      I haven't unlocked the teddy bear girl yet but I want to play her, I might try Madelana too. I actually haven't clicked with any of the defence-exclusive agents so far, and while some maps are great, others are a damned nightmare for defence (that port map with the cargo containers is a nightmare due to all the fights being long-range, I stuggle so much to land hits)
      3. Yeah I tried the Celestia burst rifle in TDM and as soon as I got into a close-combat fight I was like... yeah this doesn't work at all haha
      4. It's mostly in the team deathmatch mode (the 7 vs 7 game) where some of the maps feel impossible with Eika's shotgun so I've been trying the single-shot upgrade, I haven't used her much in ranked so far because my heart belongs to Meredith

    For mag size / reload speed - I think it ultimately comes down to how many bullets per mag the weapon has. Weapons with higher mag size (pre upgrade) will have an easier time taking multiple fights before reloading, as fights usually take quite a bit of bullets in this game. Lower mag size weapons will probably require reloading. I usually take reload speed on Flavia for example as she likes to take a fight, get out, reload, repeat.

    I always choose reload speed cause its better to just reload ur gun than pulling out ur secondary makes like a second diff but main weapon is always better

    Imo slugs on both Eika and Baimo can be pretty good, they can deal so much headshot damage that they can 3-4 tap if you have the aim.

      It's alright, but if you're close enough you can 2-3 tap with the normal shotgun and the slugs actually deal less damage. Most of the time you want to play in that ultra-close range on them.

      @arlynnfolke 2d done properly is basically impossible to hit consecutively. It is technically not a waste since 3 shot burst is best used at mid to long range. At close range tho it may be a waste.

    are you sure about Audrey's? Doesn't her gun just heats up and not use ammo, same for her primary when she has her first awakening.

      It's her total ammo. If you hold it down it will overheat before running out of bullets, but eventually you will use them all. The ADS is still a good option for her though since it brings the shield up faster.

    I always felt like sprint speed made my glide spamming faster, since it builds up momentum faster between landing from a glide and doing the next glide. Maybe placebo though?

      Sprint speed does increase your glide spamming slightly from the moments when you are touching the ground, but it's barely noteworthy especially if you get the stringify movement speed increase. Most of the time it's just better to get whatever other option there is.

    I consider it easy to use = fast to kill. So Rate of fire and Damage depends on is the gun easy to control. For example Ming with very hard control I rather choose damage so her Rate of fire does not kick the gun up too high and is hard to control. But if you do not use ADS a lot or know how to control her gun then I can see why choose the Rate of fire more.

      There is certainly truth to this. The choices in this video are based on the statistically better option assuming perfect play, but many people may find that they perform better with certain other options. Ultimately, it's a video game, and you should choose what you like and are comfortable with.

    I will say though Ming feels awgul to me without recoil reduced. I dont know why but her recoil is godawful and isnt managable without that buff. For her would you still say spread is better for accuracy with her gun or recoil? Idk if i am placeboing myself into thinking recoil is better for her or not lol

      I often use recoil on Ming as well since her gun has so much recoil. I've been practicing the recoil pattern so that I can buy spread though. At the end of the day, you should by whatever you are personally better with.

    Celestia is tricky, you lose fire rate if you pick mov speed, so if you don't like 3 shots then just do not upgrade nothing lol

    hey bro, can you compare the TTK on each guns, and rank them based on overall feal.
    and one more thing , why Ming is one of the best character , her gun is freaking awful , cant shoot in long range , recoil is terrible , cant use her in medium range either, spread is also so bad, and in close range just pick the SMG characters.
    so my point is guns are important, the character should be judged based on the gun and util combined , like Meredith is top tier because of her kit but her TTK feels slow. So what you guys think about this?

      Yeah, I've realized that I breeze over a lot of information when I make my videos for the sake of keeping them short. I'm going to start elaborating more and try slowing down the pace of future vids so I don't leave people with questions.

    Do you guys have any idea why the upgrades dont reset after getting killed? Like seriously we have save round in both valorant and csgo but not in this game and that makes the economy look stupid.

      what do you mean by reset? you mean like if your upgrades get refunded into points to spend automatically?
      Currently, refunding upgrades from earlier rounds will only give you half of the points back. you could play round 1 as a save round if you want so that you can afford a more expensive upgrade in round 2

      Firstly because you can refund whenever, Secondly the economy was made in a way where on average you buy the last upgrade on the last few rounds

      Economy is good here. If you think every game should copy it from cs or valorant then you are stupid here.

      They don't reset because there are so few rounds in a half. Even if you win every round it takes like 5 rounds to buy everything in the shop.

      Exactly, I made this video to trick people into buying things so that I can rawdog the game and become the best without any upgrades.
