It's 2005. Me and my older sister are in the back of the car on a long roadtrip. We are playing super mario land 1, tetris and boulder dash on the original gameboy. Our only concern in life is that we can't get past the many bats in the labyrinth level.
I beat this game with my older sister on the nes back in 1994. One of the last games she ever played with me before becoming a nongamer as she was going into 7th grade.
Well I don't understand. I do understand this isn't the "normal" play rather a speed run with tool assist. Does that mean digger can't be killed? I see him moving next to multiple meannies with no ill effect. Boulders drop on him with no problem. I've played this game for close to 30 years (my favorite game) and you have to avoid those guys like the plague. Can someone clue me in? Be gentle I'm in my 60's...lol
I won't directly post a link since I don't know if my post will get auto-moderated, but if you click the link in the video's description, and then click "Discuss this movie", it will take you to a thread that has some animated gifs that explain the tricks used in this movie. The short explanation is that the game only kills you under certain circumstances, and the movie simply avoids those circumstances. For instance, if you walk past a bug on the same turn that they walk past you, you can survive.
Yasser Z I was considering TASing the Wii port of the C64 port, but if TAS tools for the MSX are any good at this point, I can consider it. I know there's also a GBA port of the original, but I feel that the smaller screen would make it less enjoyable.
World 6 is the most challanging area in a video game that has ever been created
HOW??? I am blown away by your skill.
its a tas

This game has a few expansion, that added new 8 stages inspired from the game BOULDER DASH 2 from ATARI
> This version improves upon the previous one by 25 seconds!
> In this 71-second improvement to the previous movie
So... which one is it?
I think one takes into account emulator differences (causing there to be more or less lag) and one doesn't.
@Patashu: Nah, it was just a typo because the publisher copied the old publication text. It's since been fixed.
Omg the last mission looks impossible.
