Getting that all familiar head ache as it slowly burns and starts to hurt. Heading onwards to university soon hopefully. The applications of these two subjects in life have always been VERY interesting to me but it pains me to know that I know my limit. Even though I enjoy the subject and see how interesting it is. The "Flying Circus of Physics" is a great book, full of challenging problems in "basic physics" (I guess I'd say). I had to look up some of the answers at the back of book, I gave up (this was in high school), but it was fun read nonetheless. By Jearl Walker.
Yes! There is a lecture on my university with curriculum inspired by this book. With all these experiments it doesn't even feel like lecture but more like physics theatre.
I’ve never been good at math when my teachers taught and forced me to do it out of a book. I’ve always loved space and astrophysics but saw it as “too hard” because I doubted myself. I started doing independent study on general relativity, (I’m a psychology major) and can I say when I can go at my own pace I LOVE ASTROPHYSICS. I’m still going to be a psychology major but I will always study and love astrophysics which entails an entire other field of knowledge.
To understand General Relativity you need to have a good knowledge of math and physics at undergraduate level. I dont know how much you are into the fundamental things, like electromagnetism and classical mechanics but it's really important to have those concepts well stablished to grasp general relativity better. Also you need to be good at math, know calculus well at least.
Laupii1 in high school I completed pre and regular honors calc, in college now and have taken some maths so I have a solid foundation. As far as concepts and understanding I’ve done A TON of independent study because I’m genuinely interested. Takes a lot of backtracking when an unfamiliar concept comes up but I try not to let it stop me from learning

Thanks for all the great videos, by the way; I'm applying for a physics masters currently and your content's really helpful - you also have awesome hair (that part doesn't help with the MSc, but still needs saying) =).
You've mentioned in one of your previous videos that group theory was one of your interests whilst doing your undergrad, so would you please recommend some self-contained textbooks that cover abstract algebra from an introductory level to an advanced level.
I think John Baez has some group theory books on his page for learning math, i personally didnt use a textbook for group theory because my lecturer gave me comprehensive course notes of his own.
I hope you still do the video regarding to what he said about applying to a prestigious school for physics major. Just wish to hear your thoughts on that matter

@@pavelkosik6949 Wow, that is really cool! I would have loved to have taken a class like that!
You are awesome!! Very helpful!! Thank you so much 😊
Her's the Future Physicists from India... thanks sister...
Great you
I’ve never been good at math when my teachers taught and forced me to do it out of a book.
Gotta find a podcast like this
Please solve General Problems in physics by I.E. Irodov.
It has amazing questions.

Nice name
You too! I meet more dogs than people with our name (not that I'd ever complain at meeting a dog) so always nice acknowledging others - like waving at someone driving the same car.
Thanks for all the great videos, by the way; I'm applying for a physics masters currently and your content's really helpful - you also have awesome hair (that part doesn't help with the MSc, but still needs saying) =).
Really helps. Thanks a lot!!!
Really interesting video! Thanks!
Thank you ✌❤
People learning math... Just one advice I have.
Slow down... Have patience.
Please make a video on other gadgets/tools/things that you couldn't live without during a physics degree other than just books
You are our inspiration
Hi ! Thank you so much for your videos !
Wonderful video, thank you so much.
Thanks for watching
You've mentioned in one of your previous videos that group theory was one of your interests whilst doing your undergrad, so would you please recommend some self-contained textbooks that cover abstract algebra from an introductory level to an advanced level.
I think John Baez has some group theory books on his page for learning math, i personally didnt use a textbook for group theory because my lecturer gave me comprehensive course notes of his own.
Tibees Thank you!
whats your time table of studying how did you manage all subjects doing bsc
I'm a student of 10th grade but I want to be a physicist 🌹
Maam positive charge or negative chargeflow through a conductor?
Thank u for ur advice ! Madam😁😁❤️❤️
Thank you from iraq
Maths is very important for me and also physics is to because. My job I want to have is be a physics professor at a university.
I hope you still do the video regarding to what he said about applying to a prestigious school for physics major. Just wish to hear your thoughts on that matter
Thanks for giving advices. But if you should make the subtitle for nonnative english speaker, they can understand completely.
It's A Gem ! 🙏
Super nice video. Thankyou!
Great video!
Thanks!
