Brisbane Transport Bus 339 Enthusiasts Special Charter (B10M Mk 3, ZF, A-D Metroliner)

BT 339 is a Volvo B10M Mk III with a really nice, loud 4-speed ZF gearbox and 9.6L 6-cylinder Turbo Diesel Mid-mounted engine, all incorporated in an Austral-Denning "MetroLiner" body. This bus was at Bowen Hills at time of filming, and is seen in several different areas. A very special thanks to TransitBris, brisbaneguy41, lemonandlime31, Andrew the Bus Driver, the Yardie who prepared the bus for our charter, BT Bowen Hills Depot and Brisbane Transport for this awesome charter trip. Absolutely loved it!

Bus 339 would sound very nice with a 9 litre CAT motor in it. This bus has a Volvo B10M 9.6 litre strait 6 cylinder in it. I love the sound of these old Volvo motors. I would love to see the motor in them.

Please note that this bus is outdated now. We now have smoother and more modern busses. But these busses are still being used.

I didn't realise they were all being withdrawn so subtly over the past 18 months and then all of a sudden the rest are disappearing at an alarming rate. A lot going to Sydney, some have gone to Melbourne and Adelaide. Hopefully some B10Ms will stay in QLD in some capacity and still being used regularly.

Sean Zappulla yup, Volvo THD101GC 245HP 9.6-litre in-line 6-cylinder turbo diesel in this one. I wonder what it would sound like with a CAT engine though, but I do like these Volvo ones

Actually, intended use of copyright without reason (was in the background, or part of the topic at-hand), is =NOT= Fair Use. In Australia, it might be identical. If it's included in your editing software, for example, you'll need to state the software, and title, and possibly, if available, the ISRC#.

What, those new boring Volvo and MAN buses with Voith DIWA 864.5 + SensoTop and ZF EcoLife?
I'd take these older ones any day, although Scania's K280UBs are good

+Jordan farrar Not only that, they're not wheelchair-accessible, and they've already approached 21 years of age. The replacements for these Volvo B10Ms are wheelchair-accessible Volvo B7RLEs with Voith or ZF EcoLife gearboxes, Euro 5 or EEV engines, and Volgren CR228L (1801 - 2071)/Volgren Optimus bodywork (2072-2220)

Sadly that's the way that public transport is going, due to the new Euro 6 standards coming into play now. I definitely agree though, new boxes on wheels are quite boring now...
