Thanks for the tip! I’ve been playing for about a year, moving on two, and never realized how lucky I got to have a good Cecilo violin and case. I lately got passed down a very high quality violin (created sometime in the 1800s) and still use my Cecilo violin in orchestra, but now it’s obvious how much the difference is. The online shop named Fiddlershop is definitely a great choice, as you said. Although they’re a bit pricy, getting a Cecilo for $100 that is like getting a ticket to a music lottery is not at all reliable. Fiddlershop looks like a good place because the guarantees, especially the “Tested & Approved” along with the “Fiddlershop Quality Setup”, it seems like a great place to go. Thank you!
You are most welcome! I totally agree with you. Some of my students were lucky and got good Cecilo violins, and others sadly ended up with Junk... As you said, it is like a lottery ticket! Great to hear you got a good one, and on top of this, now you have a high-end violin! I'd love to hear more about the main differences you observed between your violins. I'll make a video comparing the cheaper Amazon violin and my personal instrument. It should be interesting!😁
I got a Fiddlershop midnight tower series violin for under 300 dollars for adult beginner lessons, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. My hope is to upgrade when I get through the 2nd Suzuki book. I appreciate the way you simplify the process of learning so that it is clear without being intimidating.
I bought my first violin back in 2003 from eBay. It was probably about a $350 instrument at most. If nothing else it is a unique instrument for the fact that it is purple. The sound quality definitely does sound like a lower-quality instrument but otherwise the sound is still good. And for about 150 bucks or so I replaced the bridge that needed to be fixed. I restrung the instrument and I got the fingerboard replay end and she sounds a lot better and feels a lot better than when I originally got her. There are some improvements that you can do to a cheap instrument But ultimately the wood and how the instrument is made and the quality and which that instrument was made is going to dictate how well the instrument plays and how good it sounds. Oldham Italy the idea is that if you do have the opportunity to spend a little bit more money for your instrument. You might want to go ahead and do so simply because of better quality instrument makes for a little bit better play. A cheaply-made instrument is going to make it to where you don't even want to practice. Since fixing up my own personal violin and doing some string improvements and Bridge improvements I am now excited to play. The playability of an instrument can make a big difference as to whether or not the actual Act of learning how to play is an enjoyable experience or not
love the lessons especialy the shorts with the notes on the neck but short videos cant be slowed so there not as helpful as they would be if full size videos but thanks. would love some full size with the same format

Hi Maureen! Thank you so much for writing about your story. You really made my day. 😍 Please let me know if you need help with your new violin to set it up or playing, and I'll be happy to help! 😁🎻
Where do I watch a video to know which violin to purchase. This video was not very helpful. It was more like an unpacking video than a how to video. I care about the sound, not the color of the violin.

It's really surprising this channel doesn't have more subs and likes. Video editing is really good and informative.
Thank you so much for the support! 🙌
