      @@drmilankc Thanks for watching and commenting. I think KEF LS50 Wireless II are some of the best all round speakers on the market. Great price to performance and plenty of connectivity options!

    I run optical output to my Cambridge Audio, then out to my Sansui AU-6600 to a pair of Sansui SP-X1100s... And man. Nothing compares to that combination when watching a movie. Whether it's an action movie, or a musical, everything sounds just phenomenal. I'll never regret jumping on those Sansui speakers when I had the chance.

    Bower and Wilkins 706 s2 driven by Sonos amp in front. Sonos ones for rear.
    Bower and Wilkins asw 608 sub connected to speaker out together with fronts. This because Sonos amp cuts lows from front speakers when lfe connected. I'm very happy in our apartment. No need for center channel

    The problem with a discrete stereo system, over inbuilt TV Speakers, is that most screaming services default their output to Dolby 5.1. (Just to re-cap in 5.1 the centre channel is voice and the left and right channels are mostly atmosphere.) Lazily streaming providers just use the Dolby 5.1 left and right channels. That means the voice channel is several dBs down - sometimes making the dialogue hard to hear. At least with Netflix you can override the default settings and set it to plain Stereo. A sound bar will always provide the centre voice channel.

    There only active if the crossover is active, and there for the crossover comes before amplification.
    Otherwise there are just powered speakers.
    I suspect these speakers are passive looking at the details on your website.

      @AVHifiCinema  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Richard, thanks for your comment. The KEF speakers mentioned in the video are fully active speakers. The Triangle Borea BT speakers on the other hand are powered speakers, whereby there is an amplifier module in one speaker - this relies on connecting the secondary speaker unit to the amplifier via speaker cable. This video is intended as an introduction to using these types of speakers with your TV, rather than an in-depth comparison between active and powered speakers. Although, we did cover this in more detail in a recent blog post: www.av.com/blog/active-vs-passive-speakers/

    I really don't get it...ppl say soundbars on a budget don't make surround sounds and it's better to buy speakers cuz you get better audio and even same or better surround effect

    • @AVHifiCinema
      @AVHifiCinema  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it will depend on what your goals are. If you are after the best surround sound experience having a dedicated 5.1 surround sound speaker system with AV Receiver will deliver a more convincing audio effect than a budget soundbar. The reason why people opt for soundbars is because they are smaller, more practical and easy to use / install. Those same people are happy to compromise on the quality of the surround sound effect for that added convenience. After all, a soundbar is still a lot better than built in TV speakers. You just have to go with the system that delivers what you are looking for.

      @@AVHifiCinema i want the best quality sound, but I can't mount rear speakers, so I'm kinda stuck with 2.1/3.1 speakers or a soundbar, I mostly watch movies, but I also listen to music a significant time, also I'm not sure if for the money active or passive speakers are the way to go, I have around 300-400$ to spend on a full system, I could also buy second hand

      @@siniteanrazvan3298 At this sort of price and specifically for watching movies I would stick to a soundbar and dedicated subwoofer. We have a fantastic deal on the Klipsch Cinema 600 at the moment that is within your budget. This is a fantastic soundbar from a reputable premium speaker manufacturer.

      Yeah, because everyone in America has 10,000 hiding in their couch cushions and can afford a MacIntosh Amp and Whatfdale surround speakers. And who doesn't love spending months mounting speakers on walls and running wire all over their living room? Like it or not, some people just want to set up a sound bar and be done with it. You pays what you can afford, and you make your choice. Peace. 😊

      @@floydefisher lol WTH are you ever taking about.😆 Should take 15-30 min to setup a stereo home theater system. Plus you can do it for under $400 with way better sound quality than a sound bar 💩.
