I'm really disappointed Nickelodeon didn't get Sean Astin to play Heinous Green in Raph's episode considering they got Seth Green, Greg Cipes, and Rob Paulson to play the other turtle's evil personas...would've been a nice reunion of the 2012 ninja turtles voices from seasons 3-5
I love how Raph is so unlikely to get into trouble on his own that the only reason he ends up in prison at all is because he just got mistaken for someone else. He's literally the epitome of "looks like he could kill you | is actually a cinnamon roll"

@@Zistheone2 yes, but in this show the mutagen acts by combining two living things that have recently come into contact by combining their dna (some in-show examples are a cat/praying mantis, as well humans and a variety of different things like a pig or worm, the strangest being the corpse flower) , the turtles were created when draxum tried to merge the dna of Lou Jitsu (aka, Hamato Yoshi/Splinter) and 4 normal turtles, hence how they’re related to him and each other despite being different turtle species. As a side note, the reason splinter is a rat is because he was bit by one before being exposed to the mutagen when he escaped with the turtles. I hope that explains it haha
Maybe it's because of their strong personalities, but I love more slice of life episodes where they're just hanging out, and the world isn't on the line like this, clothes don't make the turtle and snow day. I wouldn't be able to up with an episode like this from 2012.

A lot of them were in poor taste, often went against their own premise, and usually did nothing for the main story or characters. It was better when it stuck to the main story. And I really hope you're not knocking the 2012 series. That has some of the greatest episodes of the entire franchise! "Annihilation Earth", "Tale of the Yokai", "Vengeance is Mine", and "Requiem" were written like Shakespearian tragedies! And there were still over 20 more episodes that ranged good to great!

The show decided Donnie was the punching bag this time around instead of Mikey, luckily for him though they pull their punches a bit and he (usually) takes it like a champ
I loved how they had most of the original voice actors for that hidden city episode with those other turtles! I wish the other raph was there though,! I also wish we had more episodes to explain and explore the hidden city.
i love the flashback of splinter and the boys so much!! Even though Splinger was struggling with his new life and body, he put all that aside in that moment to embrace his babies 😭😭
They should of carried the "Inner Head Raph" joke where its all the same Raph between the four. Because for Mikey when Inner Head Raph helps him out he has his back turned at first and then apologizes "Sorry was just giving real Raph some advice" should of kept that joke through them all.
The mud dogs are my favourite part about when the turtles went to the hidden city if season 3 is ever made I would like it if the mud dogs were in it 😊
I love big mama’s reaction to Ralph and how he says to her hi big mama all nervous it was great and I love that the other three criminals were the voices of the 2012 version of Leo, Mikey and Donnie. Those were the same voice actors, and I love that.
They sound exactly the same as the 2012 turtles 2:50 which is awesome and I agree with the blue guy "blue guy is always a leader" just like the 2012 Leo
That actually makes sense. 2012 Donatello's voice actor is the Voice Director of Rise and does several voices in this show here and there and 2012 Michelangelo's voices Sheldon. The only one they would have brought back specifically for this episode (as to my knowledge) is 2012 Leonardo's.

The hidden city is inhabited by yokai who are different from mutants and have been living there for a while, the ooze was only created when Baron Draxum used it to make the turtles and splinter into mutants and eventually a bunch of other characters
In a sense, as I remember reading from a Q&A on Twitter, Mutants are considered artificial Yokai using the ooze Draxum created while natural Yokai are the ones like Draxum and Big Mama. I hope that helps as well?
I never noticed that Greg Cipes, Rob Paulsen, and Jason Biggs /mikey, donnie, and leo/ from the 2012 tmnt series was voice acted! It took me one listening to figure it out 😍😧
