It has nothing to do with being there or not being there, that's just how it is and it's the sad reality of a lot of one/two hit wonders from the 90s rock scene.
Just because you've only heard two songs doesn't mean he had only two hits. He has lasted longer than the likes of any in the 27 club

This maybe one of the last authentic rock songs of the 90s that took everything that happened from earlier in the decade and went an extra step with it, it's a mix of grunge and the unplugged rock of the mid-90s... a style that nobody has since taken up and run with, so it still sounds fresh even though this was over 20 years ago now and the core framework even older.. it's like the last gasp of a world going down...

R.I.P. to all of the 90s grunge legends. What an era of music that we got to witness. I was born in 1990 and didnt get to truly witness the brilliance of these bands live but the entire 90s grunge scene lives on inside me.

+Fendera he was 17 here and turned 18 2 months later its incredible that he was just a kid his voice still developing i have a 1995 recording of him when he was doing heavy metal at 15 and his vocals were insane. I wish i could post it .

Great vocals. I like this much better than the studio version. He's hitting some higher notes live and it goes well with the song.
One of the greatest songs ever written
I loved the way Travis Meeks was able to use an accoustic guitar to make metal. I have songs from their first album on many of my playlists. I'm sure there are many of us who would love to see a reunion tour and album.
Ha that's me and my friends refer to them as acoustic metal. 🤘 I think I overplayed the first one, but I honestly go back to it and it still feels fresh to me. The 2nd album nudges out as tops for me, but I love all three.

God these guys were soooo good!!! They played for a younger generation that might have not appreciated the true talent there.
The energy on that stage is amazing. You can feel the raw emotion in every single note. The jam that they seemed to hit from 4:57 until the end of the song was just mind shattering. Absolutely incredible. Heaviest acoustic concert I've ever seen.

No one deserves to be this gifted of a musician so young. He was destined to fall. This industry chews up almost everyone.
It was his undoing that fucked him up he was on meth at 15, but yeah the industry definitely fucks people and addiction does too
That guitar solo was so good
No joke, this is one of the best individual performances I have ever seen. Don't get me wrong, the band sounds incredible, but Travis was on a whole different level for this performance. Energy wise this is as perfect as a live performance gets. You can tell he had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand...
Todd and Travis's voices blend so well. Todd has a chilling voice and some incredible chops and ability to display both (study early tantric) This is special stuff.
I saw him and thought he looked like the guy in Tantric. Trying to find their songs in the past was heck and meant typing more that "Tantric songs"....I was like, no, the BAND not xxx.
90s bands perform their music great live. That's one things most bands these days can't do.

Wish I lived in the U.S.- you guys were so lucky in the 90’s as far as being able to see so many different and kickass bands without it costing a fortune! In Australia you’ve gotta wait forever for bands to come here and we’re so spread out that it almost always ends up being a 3-4 day drive across the country to see an awesome band!!

Right on! I saw them in '98 in Portland, Or... also with Metallica and Cantrell. At the time, I didn't really care about DOTN and pretty much looked past them...after all, I was there to see Cantrell and Metallica......But then I experienced these guys! when they tool the stage = mind thoroughly blown!
They were the best part of that entire show that night and arguably one the BEST live shows that I have EVER seen since.
I found days of the new through a video about drugs in my 10th grade health class. It was only a 10 clip of the touch peel and stand music video, but i remembered it the whole day because i needed to hear more. Here I find myself, 9 years later, with this time on my hands, waitin for my own fix
1998...it looks like it was a couple days ago .... time flies. Good stuff back in the day and even better now. These guys are so underrated yet so talented.

Saw them in concert in 98,and contour with them were Godsmack , Fuel and Collective Soul. Fantastic concert too! Love his voice so talented. I bought this CD and the one with Enemy but it didn't receive good comments by the critic's I thought well I fkn love it

It’s sad that Travis’s addiction ended this unbelievable band. The “speed” definitely helped write most of these songs, that’s the irony of it
You might want to watch a documentary or two on the subject,, pretty sure he blatantly said that the most fraudulent thing he ever did was call them a band when it was all him and literally anybody else could have played the backing instruments,, and I'm pretty sure he's still making music seen everyone ranting and raving about it on one of the biographies.
