This album is more on the softer side (mid-tempo), and gets harder as you go along the album. There were huge discussions when the album was released. But the album brings its value when the band does acoustic and mid-tempo song based shows, as most songs will be used from this album.
I'm an extreme metal guy, and the album Conqueror took the longest for me to click. It has several slower songs, and I kind of glanced over them in the beginning, concentrating on the more aggressive ones. When the album clicked though, one of the overlooked songs became one of my absolute favorite Band-Maid songs, namely Mirage.
It blows my mind when people (not so much with you, Nick) get their shorts in a twist if a Band-Maid song isn't a double Red Bull blaster. It's like the composition, arrangement and playing, etc. means little if the kick isn't at least 220 BPM. As a hard rock musician, I know that playing a slow to mid-tempo song, with all its sensitivities and nuances, really show how good a band is. The Maids pull-of all their mid tempos such as, Daydreaming, The One, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile, better than nearly all other rock bands. Band-Maid mid-tempo songs are beautiful sonic experiences, classy, and brilliantly written, and performed. These songs like Page should be taken as they are, and not be downgraded because they lack heaviness or fast tempos, etc... imo! Thx, Nick!

他の人が書いていますがこのアルバムがソフト路線だったのでハードな曲が好きな人達が大騒ぎしていました。
個人的には何でもできちゃうところがBAND-MAIDらしいと思いますし、色んな曲調があったほうが楽しいのでこういう曲も大好きです。
というか、BAND-MAIDには「自分達がやりたいと思う事を好きにやってほしい」と心から思っています。
I might find this album less enjoyable then i do like harder stuff, but i wouldnt know if i dont give the songs a try aswell ayaya 🙏
