      Poison Ivy her actual sustained vocal range is G3/A3 - C5 - G6, which is 2.77 octaves.

    • @skad5971
      @skad5971 7 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Sina Nicolay Oh, I don't think so. She can supported D3 - G#5 (A5) - E6 right now, I've seen she singing these notes without any problem on GWT. Perfectly.

    • @sinanicolay
      @sinanicolay 7 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Poison Ivy everything below A3/G3 isn't supported, her pitch is totally wrong and her larynx is in hell. The A5 were shouted and everything higher than C5 is made with a heavenly high larynx + there's always neck and tongue tension (due to nearly no warm up) . Also I was being nice writing her higher 6th octave is supported to the G6 because at G5 her support starts to slowly fade away.

    # means sharp, sharp is higher than the original note (slightly)
    b means flat, lower than the original note (slightly)

    *Definitely a full lyric Soprano; her voice doesn't have that light, girly sound eg. Mariah, Ariana, Leona, Tori etc.*
    Plus some are claiming that it's from her lowering her larynx yet she still sounds incredibly strong, full & powerful when in her upper belts. It's not like Christina Aguilera who lowers her larynx to have a deeper, stronger timbre...

    • @theseeker2586
      @theseeker2586 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      From C3 to C4 it's 1 octave, to C5 it's 2 octaves, to C6 it's 3 octaves, to C7 it's 4, and from C7 to E7 it's 2 notes. So that would count up to 4 octaves and 2 notes. But some notes are exclaimed/screamed so they shouldn't count as part of her singing range.
      FYI 1 octave = 8 notes ( hence the "oct" from greek "οκτώ" which means eight ) the notes are C, D, E, F, G, A, B and then C again. So, from one C up to the other C it's one full octave. Numbers signify in which octave she is in.

    To correct this vocal range video Perrie NEVER hit an C#3, also you added many exclamations they don't belong to the vocal range. And to correct all the "she is a full soprano" oder "she sounds like tenor (which is btw the wrong term (the right term is contralto profundo) and she's definitely nothing near a contralto, not even mezzo-soprano (I highly recommend y'all to listen to real contraltos))", Perrie is a light lyric soprano with a vocal range of D3 - G5 - G6 (which are 3 octaves and 4 notes). But the obvious mistake Perrie constantly does is to force her larynx down to make it seem like she has a deep and thick voice with more power, but she still has power in her femalish voice. Her vocal peek is definitely from 2011 - 2014. Despite the fact that she has a really bad vocal technique, she's still the strongest vocalist in Little Mix with the most emotions in her voice (let's forget about the fact that her riffs and runs aren't natural). Her head voice is definitely her best developed register, that she should focus on more.

      Sina Nicolay I wish she would get that Larynx together.... that hollow sound is closed not all the way Natural..... but she does have an edgy tone regardless.... she also pushes it up when she belts that's why her belts are throaty....... she is Dr the strongest vocalist in Little mix...but I don't want her to Damage her voice..

    • @vocalvids5190
      @vocalvids5190 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yeah, I agree. So many exclamations that aren't a part of her range here. Although, that E7 is quite debatable to me. Wasn't sung but sustained. But for now her sung range should be C#3 - Bb5 - D6

    • @sinanicolay
      @sinanicolay 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      vocal vids she never hit the C#3, the boom boom stuff was Jesy, Perrie's lowest sustained note is a G3 her lower range isn't that good. But I would also say over the nearly 6 years in the music industry and over 10 years of singing before (her parents were both singers and she wanted to make them proud) her voice has gotten worse than better, since the Get Weird era her voice is dying and LM has so much days off but they aren't doing proper warm ups nor they bringing a vocal coach with them when they're on tour.

    • @sinanicolay
      @sinanicolay 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Nielsen Makaba Perrie actually has a very clear and high voice, there is nothing dirty or agressiv in her voice, but as I wrote with her intention to force her larynx down to hell she wants create a much more powerful and strong voice and with the bad vocal technique she creates a little "raspiness" (which is definitely not healthy) but in reality it's just straining.

    • @vocalvids5190
      @vocalvids5190 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It might be Jesy doing the C#3's, but I'm sure the D3's were live and Perrie was doing it. But it's quite understandable that her lower register isn't really the best, as she's a soprano. And yes, I do feel like she has been worsening because of her strain. They need to get back with a coach.

    edit: sorry im from greece (so we've named the notes do-re-mi... etc.)and i've been studying music for 5 years but i've only been studying the international way for a few months so im not that good at it

    • @ruanfourie6436
      @ruanfourie6436  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is just how the notes in an octave were named (long long long ago). From lowest to highest eg: C5, C#5, D5, Eb5, E5, F5, F#5, G5, G#5, A5, Bb5 and B5
      1st, 2nd and 3rd octave being your lower register, 4th and 5th (sometimes 6th) being mid and upper belting and 6th, 7th and above being falsetto and whistle.

    • @CoasterIdiot802
      @CoasterIdiot802 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      these are notes.
      an octave goes from C-C.
      the order of the notes are CDEFGABC.
      the numbers determine in which octave the singers are singing in. the b and # are "b" flat notes and # sharp notes. it's when you sing the notes, but the frequency is not centered to the note. So it's either a little lower or higher than the centered notes. There are only 2 notes that have the "flat" in them and 2 half step notes. Those notes are E-F and B-C. This means that when you sing them, you only neat to add half as many hertz to your voice in order to reach the note, versus the other notes.

    • @adina2897
      @adina2897 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Myth Talks Actually, # is a semitone higher, and b is a semitone lower, it has nothing to do with the sharpness or the flatness of a note. A note can be sharp or flap without the "#" or "b"

    • @erik69006

      You Tuber: sopranos I know struggle to get lower than G3 and she hits a C#3. Also they can easily belt up to an E5 and her E5’s are very strained.
      And whatsoever is written without gaps.

    • @Reikyellah
      @Reikyellah 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Erik You idiot you do realize range isn’t the only aspect of how you determine one’s voice type... obviously not. Secondly the C#3 is basically air & borderline inaudible. She does not have the weight a true Mezzo would have in their lower register. She strains on E5 because she hasn’t learned to support that high... that’s it. Not because she’s a Mezzo, which she isn’t. Beyoncé is an Mezzo soprano who has shown the ability to support F#5s & E5/F5 consistently. Ariana grande is a soprano who has strained on D5s.... so that argument is invalid. She’s not a Mezzo, she’s a soprano.
