- After having a talk at Doug Burts Tackle World on reef fishing and Snapper, I finally catch up with Will Kitching and go and try and prove that it all works. Was amped about going and was so happy when it all worked to plan. Yahoooo.

Hey mate, love the videos. Is that just straight out off the Gold Coast? Any advice for crossing the bar or is it pretty straight forward down there? Also, any reason you leave the motor running on a drift?
Cross the bar on an incoming tide and it should be ok when the swell is a metre or less . Go out for 8 km and you will see a few reefs on your sounder. Fish them!
No reason why the motor is running, it doesn’t affect the fishing really. I turn it off sometimes too.

Yep same as mine mate. I was only asking as I’m new to offshore boating, went out today and was way to ruff for the size of boat I think, can you tell me what weather to look for for a good trip oh what is to much weather ?
