My favorite Corvette body style, 80's!! :-)
How can one not love the clean, unadorned lines? As time passed, the Corvettes body-lines got busier & busier...creases here there & everywhere..little tiny (useless) air "fins", bulges appeared & disappeared...Look up the concept called, "Surface entertainment", the idea being, every square foot of a cars body must "entertain". This Vette is devoid of these distractions, all the current cars rather OCD in nature, sign of the times I guess, ...eyes glued to your phone, driving your manic looking car, ...it all fits.
Great comment Ricardo, appreciate you watching the Samspace81 classic car channel
A very nice car indeed! It reminds me of my numbers matching 1987 convertible. Same color too! Wow!
Awesome. I appreciate you watching Samspace81. I got my start at my dads Vette shop
Elle vraiment belle cette génération de corvette. .une ligne pure et classe ..👍👍👍
1:46 to 2:15 ...that intermittent scratch sound...my bet is an alternator going out, the bearings get worn out & make that particular sound. Take a long pry-bar to locate the source of the sound, touch the tip of the bar on all suspect components & listen on the other end up against your ear, easy.
@@samspace81 One can use virtually anything to conduct the sound, using something metal seems to work best as sound conducts best thru metallic stuff. Our 2014 Honda Civic picked up a particular sound under-hood, I diagnosed it as a bad serpentine tensioner...I thought 14 years at a Honda dealership & a dozen more at independents would have convinced her I was right, she went with the Dealers advice & got a new serpentine belt...all was quiet for about a week, New tensioner now & all is quiet. I don't know what I can do to convince her I know WTF I'm taking about, when I talk about cars...1:04 to 1:45 is a nicely shot portion of video... smooth, the KISS principle...
Note at 1:31 when this Vette drives past...you can hardly hear it. Ever since this C4, volume levels outside (and inside) the car have been going up & up, the notion of more sound the better, faster, higher horsepower the car has. Find a video of a 2021 Corvette passing by you fifteen feet away, it's almost as if you need hearing protection.
Since the arrival of the electric Tesla, torque & horsepower are not related to sound output...Vroom Vroom doesn't apply, power is just a number, a specification.
Red on red convertible with the white top. Awesome color combo on the Vettes👍
