This build was cool as hell - and the fact that there are still other synergies to speculate on, even while it's dealing upwards of 100k damage per fight, makes it even more appealing. Very cool
For what it's worth, I 100% agree with everything you said in the beginning of the video regarding the bazaar's future, their ambitious balance patches, and the comparison with POE2. Glad I finally joined that channel
The charge for the ice club does go off without radiant on the club. I got this build myself and it just queues like 5 attacks that the club instantly does as soon as it unfreezes with the stopwatch.
I guess it's still good as insurance against opponent radiant and burn/poison
Yep, def don’t need radiant. In fact you probably want it on the watch if you can. Once you have diamond club and a skill that freezes an item when you use the club you also def want faster freeze items so you can trigger the club more quickly. Spices is absolute overkill.
Looks like club has been single handedly making the meta into slow over freeze.
Passive items like Belt and Spyglass are so good with stopwatch and club
Man, this is what Bazaar should be about, not hyper consistent dooley builds
Dooley is still busted overall because burn core is like free wins up until day 7 basically as long as you know what you're doing on Dooley

I didn't lay before the Skyscraper nerf and to this day I have never managed to pull off a good "value" Pyg. I hope that archetype gets just a little bit more love to return to viability, especially when it comes to having a good offensive option worth going for with Skyscraper and Pyg's Dagger just feeling weak atm.
Only one i managed to make it work was with a shield value property (Fixer Upper/Cove/Spacescraper) with Force Field/Spiky Shield as damage. Skyscraper is also a bit too rare since it's diamond but it probably would have worked if I got it. Got an early Deed that I scaled and then enchanted with Golden and a Golden Balcony from vendor, was shielding 10k+ every 3 sec 😂
Pyg's dagger has been too late to scale unless you have a lot of value buffing items but even then it's not the best. It probably needs a buff or rework
@ I love the dagger but yeah, it's never worth actually playing on board and even when you get it scaled to a decent number you usually have other things going on that are still stronger or outscaled it themselves. Oftentimes selling it will just enable replacing it with something stronger. The item feels like it could be too good if it started at silver though, even with nerfs to how it upgrades.
They could give it some base damage and reduce the cooldown. If it hit every 3 (or maybe even 2) seconds its scaling would be way more impactful without it becoming a broken econ item which is the risk of lowering the base tier.
yeah that's the coolest build I've seen.
The first time I saw this item in a run this patch my jaw dropped. Those club is great.
Had a radiant club with frozen shot and fort to give it multicast. then i found a heavy beast of burden and heavy keychain in the same shop from the slow vendor, made that my slowest weapon. so now the keychain uses the beast twice (and x2), freezes 4 items and slows everything, fully charging the club twice (and x2 multicasting). Then for the final boss I faced a crazy freeze build which made none of that go off expect for 12 bonks from the club and still won.
Finally some Pyg love. He is by FAR the most fun hero. Feels so bad to just lose to unga bunga burn Dooley before he’s playable and I’d love to see his power level be upped just a tiny bit to make his early game better
About whether or not this game will have a bright future, some people are super critical, but they forget the game is *actually* in beta. Nowadays devs say their game is in beta, when in reality it is basically released, and it stays in "beta" for years, or untill the game dies off.
The Bazaar beta is a *real* beta, the devs are experimenting a lot and at least half of the content is not yet released. By the time we have 6 or more heroes and lots more items the game is probably going to be amazing
yeah the tier 1 style meta where one character is garbage and one character is viable becomes much harder to achieve when there are nine characters instead of three
I've been really enjoying railgun tech charge build it seems to be the only build i can pull off that beats shield + poison puffer

I don't think Crook is worth pivoting into unless you have all medium weapons upon seeing it. Pyg's gym just seems flat out better with hp scaling into late game.
Big guns + spices triples the damage, not quadruples it.
X = weapon base damage before spices
2X = weapon dealt damage before spices (with skill)
X + 2X = 3X => weapon base damage after spices
2 * 3X = 6X weapon dealt damage after spices (with skill)
this is consistent with the club going from 2.2k to 6.8k

that would be pretty confusing mechanic considering the wording that's being used,
isn't it that you have 2x on board (skill) and spices adding another 2x (adding lowest value on board) that then also goes through skill (*2) making it 2x + 2x*2 = 6x? same number in this case, but this mechanic would make much more sense to me tbh
@@m_valj I'm not sure I get your logic. OP's makes much more sense to me, given how it could have been written in code:
- spices triggers
- reads value of your lowest weapon (which of course will be dynamical in a fight)
- then adds that value to every weapons you have
The point here and the design choice was whether to add that value before or after any multiplicative effects occur. If it is applied after, not only is it less fun but I'd argue more confusing -- because then effects like Big Guns would in fine multiply only the static value of damage, giving something that drifts further away from a real times two as the fight progresses on, and any potential scaling effects occur.
Therefore the Spices added value is applied before any multiplicative effects -- consistent with OP reasoning. If you also check the behavior with diamond sniper, for instance, spices here in effect multiplies damages by 11 -- feel free to check for yourself that it makes sense.
ps, after reading your post a final time, I'm pretty sure we're all describing the same mathematical operation but with different wordings.
would have been the funniest thing ever if a boulder showed up to end the run. Really cool build though, not a pyg enjoyer but def one of his funner items to work with it seems
For those who were wondering why "Quadrupling" the 2200 ice club gave 6600 instead of 8800, it doesn't actually quadruple anymore. The math now works like this:
Before spices: 1100 (base) * 2 (big guns) = 2200 (damage)
After spices: [1100 (base) + 2200 (damage)] * 2 (big guns) = 3300 (new base) * 2 (big guns) = 6600
Nice build. Ive had a nice run with ice club to but didnt had stopwatch. I used Ice Club, Ice Cream Truck, Fort, and Bird. I also had many haste/freeze skill and some haste/slow enchant. Had that slow weapon freeze skill you had.

I've run diamond club with diamond phonograph a few times and it honestly makes me feel the diamond clubs charge shouldn't be at 6 seconds as it can turn it into "at the start of fight deal 20k damage" a bit too easily.
Is beast of burden shit now after the nerf? I haven't tried making beast of burden work this patch yet. I only go for Atlatl or Regal starting weapons.
The club should have an animation like boulder and dam

I feel like pyg has the highest power potential but also the highest variance
I got 2.25 chests per run on average since dec. 27 playing exclusively pyg. I think people severely underestimate him. But I’m happy, I never play what’s meta but I also want to win, it’s not often I can do both 😂
@@mekullag 2.25 chests on pig means you average what 8 wins ? thats impressive higher then the 6 average pyg overall has, but all noobs together reach 8 average win on dooley,
so if ur in the top1000 and wanna rank up, 8 average wins will make you lose alot of ranks.

This build has the capacity to kill even old Pygs 90k+ health once that Stopwatch goes off.
Except old Pyg would also double tap anyone with a Radiant tower for like 15k 2s into the fight, so yeah. Old Pyg was not ok.

the core game IS very good, but the dev team has clearly showed that they can't balance their own game. every single patch has been dominated by one build. every patch there is multiple bugs because of hardcoded variables. you talk to them on their discord server and the mods start crying and raynad pops in and says fuck anyone who plays my game, you are all wrong. its sad and pathetic
I have the same thought. Would be a shame for the game to fail to balance alone. This game desperately needs new items and skills to help with balance

Idk every fucking community in existence complains about balance, I'll trust them to get it right eventually
unfortunately there will always be a meta. Maybe it can be fixed with more items, but the problem with more items is that then it becomes an RNG fiesta, in which the player who gets the right stuff is extremely op and everyone else gets rekt. As much as it sucks forcing stuff is inevitable in this sort of games. At least this has been the case for Hearthstone, MTGA, LoR, Battlegrounds, TFT etc
The balancing isn't going to be that good in Closed Beta, where they focus more on the game's core mechanics. Balancing and matchmaking is pretty bad, but it will get better as more people play it and they get more time to fix it.
Man, they really need to rework Pig. He is so busted and easy to play. He also is the most busted character every patch with so many broken builds
He is easily the weakest character this patch
