- Get in, nerds! We're going to the planetarium!
When I first started making jewelry, I used beads from a bracelet kit to make a solar system necklace, but as I was very new to jewelry making, I made a lot of mistakes. I've been wanting to remake this idea for a while, and getting this month's Bargain Bead Box was the PERFECT excuse to remake it!
All my materials for this necklace came from the box, except for the 20 gauge and 22 gauge medium-hard craft wire, and the dark lapis blue beading wire (and crimps) I used. Links to these extra materials will be below.

Beki! I had so much fun going thru space with you! The excitement and just overall love you have for our planet, solar system shows to the humans you share on earth! 💕. I’m so happy for you! The necklace turned out so beautifully! BYW! I loved the class on our solar system! I had so much fun listening to you and learning while you were going thru each one! I knew Pluto was no longer a planet! But I didn’t realize it was a dwarf planet! So thanks. Oh! Ellen has the sweetest voice trying to get your attention! Ok see you on the next one! 🥰
I just think space is neat! And this box really gave me a good reason to get nerdy about it
Your necklaxe turned out great! Love it!🥰
Thank you! 🤗
Spectacular video Beki! 💕💕💕
that necklace is so cute!!!
I truly enjoyed this video, thank you! i, too, have dogs that require attention...I am, after all, the official door opener...
I just started this hobby last week and this was so much fun to watch and I learned a LOT! Thank you!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! This is a really great hobby & I hope you enjoy it.
Such fun to watch ❣️ TFS 💙
Thanks for watching!
Oh big thanks. The beads I make are heavy so I should wrap the loop. Some times I put a store bought small bead in between my beads so then I could do a simple loop. Yes I think I get now when to use what wire gauge. I don’t make many necklaces with a link chain method I usually use flex wire but after this busy month is over and I get back to making beads I will focus on which bead shape to make with the necklace in mind. I want to try oh so many new styles. Thanks for opening this all up to me. So love to watch/learn/ listen to you. Soo cool how much you know about space/ planets 🪐
I did a challenge for the month of September to make at least 2 beaded chain necklaces a week, if you want to watch the playlist I made for it, it might give you some ideas. And I love space & the planets! There's so much to know and learn right here in our own little part of the galaxy!
I absolutely love it! LOVE IT! I definitely want to try this myself.
♥♥♥ I love it. Watched on phone screen later on PC wanted to see on bigger screen. I'm going to do something similiar. . I totally agree this is an awesome box. So many possibilities to create an unusual piece of jewelry
I already have plans for more!
Oh yeah baby! Loving this month’s box. I think I’m going to do a close copy on your necklace as I really can struggle with multi layers. Looks like you’ve done the hard part for us. My box had moonstone and a triangle sodalite pendant. I’m also going to try simple charm like drops from the chain included in solar order for a simpler piece. Bracelet too. 🤞
That sounds like a great plan!
It's beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
I just found your channel and really enjoyed this video. You are so creative and fun to listen to and watch.
I'm so glad to have you here!
Gorgeous! I love everything about this video. Your joy, enthusiasm, humor, knowledge, and artistry is delightful. Thank you for helping me end my day on a positive note. I don’t have a favorite planet. I also received the moonstone. Have a happy day! Regards to Ellen and Natalie!
I'm glad you enjoyed this video so much!
I received the moonstone. I love that you already had a solar system necklace and totally went with the theme of this box by making another one. What a perfect box this was for you!
This is such a fun box, I have so many more ideas!
Love it!
Absolutely amazing! I just subscribed after seeing what was in this box. Can't wait to receive mine.
I hope you were able to subscribe in time for this box! Their cutoff is usually by the 9th for that month's box. If you weren't able to do it by then, you might be able to email their customer service & ask if they could squeeze you in. Their customer service is fantastic. If all else fails, they usually list extras on their sister site a couple of weeks later.
I got an email today saying a box was shipped so I think I'm good! Will check the other site just in case.
YAY! I'm so excited for you!
Beki! I had such a great time going thru space with you! What fun! What excitement you and I had for this journey! I’m so happy for you! Yes! Ellen has the sweetest talk, trying to get your attention! My daughter has a chocolate Lab! Her name is Chloe! Love her to pieces! They live with me! Anyway! I loved the class on our solar system, planets. Very interesting! I knew Pluto was no longer! But I didn’t realize it was a dwarf planet ! Etc You were great in that video. You’re so smart and you make our color system proud! ❤ I had just as much fun listening to you as you were teaching us!!❤️
Love it!! I'm glad that you were able to figure out the measurements.

PS: I bought the tool set that you use/reviewed and love them. Just so you know, there are 4-5 additional pliers that you can buy individually, including bent chain nose and heavy duty cutters for use on thicker wire &/or chain. I wasn't sure they were available at the time that you purchased them and just wanted to make sure that you knew now. There's a pain or rosary pliers that are basically round nose pliers but there's also a cutter underneath the two barrels. I haven't tested them out yet but look forward to doing so now that I'm FINALLY out of the hospital, without any answers but at least I'm home with my hubby and four-legged babies.
I am so glad you're home! I wish you also had some answers, but it helps to be with your family, doesn't it? I'm glad to know about the other tools they make because I really do love this set.
Beautiful design ❤️ Hope to get my box next week 😊
I hope you love working with it when it gets there!
really enjoy your channel ---may i make a suggestion---when you post your thumbnail of your opening of bbb you may want to think of posting a black and white photo---that way anyone who wants to be surprised, can be. i know alot of channels do the b/w photo when unboxing.
That is a REALLY good point! I just switched out the thumbnail for this box's unboxing video to a B&W one. I can switch to color in a few weeks, after everyone has gotten theirs. I'll make an effort to do this going forward. Thanks for mentioning this!
Very Nice! Is there a tutorial for the bracelet you are wearing???
It's coming soon! I have to wait until after the official reveal date for the bead box I used for it before I can post the tutorial, but I'm hoping I can release it this weekend.
The solar system necklace is fabulous. Love love love the bracelet you're wearing diring this video. Did you happen to do a recording of the making of the bracelet?
I did but I haven't uploaded it yet! I'll probably be posting it this weekend.
Great fun first question- how do you decide to make a simple loop vs loop ugh that you twist the wire ( forgot what you call that loop- thanks watch more
Usually I go by wire gauge. 16 or 18 gauge wire will usually be a simple loop, unless it's going to be holding a lot of weight and then I'll use a wrapped loop. In general I don't trust a 22 gauge wire loop to hold without wrapping it. 20 gauge can go either way, so it depends on my project. Heavier beads or things that will get heavy use would need wrapped loops, while simple loops are fine for most other things.
Is there any chance you can model this necklace so we can see how it looks and lays?
I'm happy to! I posted a pic in the community tab: th-cam.com/users/postUgkxJnFqWReYYx70yE5Roi12oa9xXRg5JS2e
Hi there live watching you
I have learnt a lot by watching you
Was wandering where I can order these beads please
I'm from australia
I don't know if Bargain Bead Box ships to Australia, but that's where I got these. The first necklace I made a few years ago is composed of beads I got in a bracelet kit like this one & you may be able to get reasonable shipping from here? www.beebeecraft.com/p-sunnyclue-1-box-300pcs-6mm-planet-bracelet-beads-kits-solar-system-gemstone-bracelets-beaded-loose-spacer-bead-with-elastic-crystal-thread-steel-scissors-for-adults-diy-jewellery-bracelet-making-76776.html
