Here's your dose of rubber band history for the day. Crazy Man's Handcuffs was published by Arthur Setterington in the new Pentagram in May 1970. Herb Zarrow improved the handling and his version was published in Tarbell Volume 7. Daryl named it Crazy Man's Handcuffs and it was popularized by Michael Ammar in his lectures and a couple other instructional products he put out.
In my list I didn't know who to credit for CMH. Thanks for this info.

Yeah, the Boomerang Band is legendary. Andrew might have the best instruction on the effect. The trick has been performed by many before Andrew including Chris Kenner, Charlie Miller, and Michael Weber, but Andrew's take on his DVD project is probably the best way to learn it.
Surprised to see the classic Jumping Rubber Band trick didn’t make the list. Kind of the very first rubber band trick everyone learns. Of course, Hanson Chien’s BJ4 takes it to the Nth degree!
Yeah, the Jumping Rubber Band by Stanley Collins was suggested but it did not receive enough votes to be included in the list. It sounds like we need another rubber band video!
Jumper for the no. 1 , 2 and 3 spot. Hands down. Add a kicker with touch and you have an entire routine and impossible souvenir.

For this list, #1 for me is Dan Harlan’s linking rubber bands. I do that more than any other RB effect.

Found this. Thanks. R&D a 12 phrase RB Routine since the beginning of the pandemic largely due to P3 Purchases. I think 2 more are in order to see if I can get it to be a 14 phase routine. BTW the name of the routine is "Audra- the Ambitious Rubber B and". She lives in the Las Vegas Desert where she meets her future Love- Hal :)

No Jumper? What do you guys do when a band breaks??? I need to watch the DL again but I dont recall any arts and crafts in Melting Point. Hey Nick, the boomerrang band effect is Fancy Band by Chris Kenner.
Yeah, the Boomerang band is an old classic. It wasn't created by Chris Kenner, although he has a great download on the effect. The earliest reference we have been able to find was from Charlie Miller performing the effect.
