Hi HJW! Glad to hear the build is moving along. When we did our closets we learned to make sure we didn’t have shelves installed too close to the top of the closet. If the shelf not measured right it will be hard to get things up there. Better to wait until you move in and get shelf accessories from home depot or Walmart. Also, shallow shelves like the ones we put in some places in our closet are useless. Also, if they do square cubbies, i recommend nothing smaller than 14”. We did 12” and the space inside is actually 11”. We still didn’t do our back patio yet or fix those kooky garage doors. We will get back patio screens before we redo the railing and finish the deck. It is soooo hot and bugs are so many that its hard to enjoy the patio at all! We need to screen that back patio asap! So good to hear about your progress HJW! Have a blessed week! 😊
Hi Holly! I am glad that this video helped you decide. I was nervous about the capacity when I got it, but that's because I was accustomed to not running the dishwasher until it was completely filled up; now I do smaller loads and don't worry about it. Thanks for watching!
I have purchased this dish drawer and I love it. I am a single person and I love the fact that I can actually wash small loads. I mainly use the small jar unless I am hosting a dinner party or something. I use the medium cycle the most. The Eco cycle I was told would not have the best performance. I think I tried and used it once. I would like to ask, do you run hot water to your kitchen sink first to make sure that the water is the hottest before starting the dishwasher. ?
Hi Stacey! I am glad to hear you love your dish drawer too! Its so much easier to do small loads than to have to wait to fill up an entire dishwasher. When our grandkids came and we used more dishes, we just ran a load as soon as one drawer filled up, so it worked out fine. I think at one point, I ran both drawers at the same time. I have used the Eco cycle and it does take a looong time but it seemed to do the job well. I don't run the hot water first - I hadn't thought about doing that. However, one of the things we did when we built the house is that we had a hot water recirculator installed so that we can get instant hot water without running the water long. (I think that is what it is called).
Also, I do not pre-wash my dishes. So that may be why your Eco cycle works well for you. I use cascade powder detergent as recommended by the manufacturer. I only use a tablespoon. I also use some times Costco brand pods.
Hi Stacey - yes, that might be why. Mo likes the dishes to be rinsed off before they go in the dishwasher, where I'm more of a just put them in and let the dishwasher do the work kind of person. LOL! I might try the Costco pods.
Hi there! So glad to hear that! Yes we use Finish tablets with the red powerball in it. They work well without adding any rinse agent. Thanks for watching and have a blessed week! 😊
Hello Long time since last i contacted you. I looked at double washers but I had concerns about water use. We are using rain water catchment for our supply. We are now at the trim carpenter stage and will be choosing our closet set ups. Any advice about the shelving? Did you find a solution for the garage door rails? Also wondering about the back porch you were finishing. Hope you're having a good day!
Hi HJW! I hope you are closing in on the end of your new home build! We haven't got those garage rails fixed or replaced that wood railing on the patio. We still have them on the to-do list though. The super mutant size insects in texas have really gotten on my last nerve. So now we are deciding between getting electronic screens put on the patio, or screening it in with some strategically placed doorways for the deck we will eventually put adjacent to the patio. Have a blessed week!

Appreciate this thorough review of yours! May I ask what tablets you use?
