- This video is a brief look into the deforestation and fires going on in the Amazon. The argument laid out here is a natural extension of the argument in the "Is Overpopulation a Myth?" video. If you haven't seen that video, you can find it by going to the channel page!

What an amazing video!
I can't believe we put out a video on the same exact topic on the same exact day!
To be honest, I'm quite jealous of the way you presented the vid! Very good job!
Thanks so much!
I'm gonna pin this to make sure people check out your video too.
I thought your presentation was very smooth and the editing was solid!
Concise and well-put together video! Thank you for including veganism.
Thanks!
The video would have definitely felt incomplete without mentioning veganism/vegetarianism
Thank you for not poo poo-ing veganism while acknowledging that much more needs to be done.
I hate it when people let the perfect be the enemy of the good. I don't like it when people use systemic problems to completely discount individual action or vice versa. BOTH matter.
True, however I think often doing the “good” supplants seeking “the perfect”

thanks for the work, your videos are always so well made!
Brilliant summary of the problem, comrade. The situation in the Amazon is perhaps the largest and most influential example of deforestation at the hands of corporate desire at the moment, and you’ve described the fundamental components of it well.
I’m very glad to hear someone treat individual abstinence (via veganism, vegetarianism, so on) in the manner that it should be treated. Most liberals completely ignore the role of big businesses in the problem, thus promoting individual lifestyle, and many self-proclaimed Communists in the imperialist core ignore the role of individual lifestyle, despite being in the best position to life in these situations due to their own economic security that exceeds that of the rest of the world. Both are important, obviously one more so than the other, and I think you mentioned that brilliantly.
As always, fantastic video. Keep up the great work, comrade.
Is it just me, or is the shape of the Amazon shrinking all throughout the video?
Haha it could be, but I admittedly did not intend to do that. Would have been a good idea though!
Nothing should last forever!
Forests like these only represent stagnation
and therefore must be replaced with something new.
Well done comrade
Not eating our defenseless relatives is not a burden for many millions of people, including many poor people. In fact it's an obligation and a pleasure and removes burdens of cost, health problems, and unnecessary economic contribution to systems that hurt everyone. Other than that point Excellent analysis.

True. Capitalism always rewards bad behaviour..
Once we give up the pressure to fulfill societal obligations, we actually become free ..

meat conumption in eastern europe increade dramtcially under socialism.this is not to glofiy crapitlaism but poitn that osiclaim is fuyll compataible with eating meat.
Who is advocating cannibalism 😅 3:55
I agree that we waste too much.
Right now we produce ~350 million tons of meat per year, which should be enough to feed everyone a healthy diet assuming everyone hits the gym three times a week, otherwise less is necessary. We should need ~326 million tons of meat per year for the whole world population, assuming no waste. The problem is comfort. Because we want meat ready everytime of the day, lots of meat is wasted and thrown away like in McDonalds.
Great video.
Amazing Vídeo!!!
Don't trees grow back Doesn't pasture grass count as vegetation Don't we have right to eat meat 3:07
being vegan is not a burden. its liberation. ;) especially for the animals. and the dairy industry still has a big ecological imprint. so veganism is the better option.
