He'll speed up our transition massively. Firmino is gonna have a good understanding with him and Mane and Salah will enjoy the long passes behind the opposition defense. His height is very useful too. One more tall player helps on both ends.
I know we even signed his replacement/upgrade before he even left. That would sting a bit to say the least. He stayed professional though unlike certain sneks crying for a move.

it's true since VVD came we are very strong against counter attacks, set pieces, through balls, ... but there's an undeniable fact that our team crack under pressure, no matter who we're against, if they can press us 15-20mins they're gonna score and it was shown a lot this season. my guess is this is the primary reason klopp brought fabinho, he's the type of DM who can soak up pressure and ease the defense, either by tactical positioning or especially by his easiness with the ball, ask any manager amateur or professional and they'll tell you that these type of players who plays slow paced with the ball are the most valuable in a team defensively players like busquets, casimero, matic, ... we are going to be A LOT stronger especially in knockout type of tournaments CL,FA,... YNWA
I find it a bit weird that we apparently crack under every pressure considering we had the third most clean sheets in Premier League (only two less than De Gea's bus company) and the most in Champions League. Doesn't quite add up with the "crack under pressure"-statement. Fabinho is a nice addition, but LFC's defensive problems and keeper problems are being blown out of proportion instead of actually looking at facts and reality. Every team will have periods were they are put under pressure, it's unavoidable, cause every team need a break to refuel, but we are very good at handling that pressure and not letting goals in or even shot against goal. So I disagree to some extend. That said - Welcome Fabinho!
To be fair, pretty much all teams crack under pressure. But having a player like Fabhino definitely makes us more resistant to an onslaught. And what is nice, is that he can play a ball out from deep. We've missed that since the day's off Xabi.
One way to counter that is having players who can hold onto the ball in tight spaces when we're under pressure. Fabinho & Keita are perfect for that. It'll be harder to sustain pressure on Liverpool.
I hope Klopp switches to a 4-2-3-1 next season & uses both Fabinho & Keita as the double midfiled pivot. Both would offer defensive protection & a lightening quick transition from defence to attack. Energetic & athletic, they would be an incredible midfield partnership.
