Chase, I've been a musician/singer for over 50 years and have seen some outstanding talents. But, WHY ARE YOU NOT FAMOUS?? Please go on The Voice, or some other platform where you can get noticed! My gosh, girl, you are incredible!!
This definitely shows just how confident Chase has become onstage and it's a shame that she wasn't able to have the normal live audience there to draw even more energy etc BUT without a doubt shows this is where she belongs, deserves to be and enjoys doing so..
This channel needs a whole lot more subscribers and views - this is an amazing rendition of a classic song, and the scat is utterly incredible - this is one of the many songs that my late father made me learn on solo guitar, and the reward for that was to become a member of his band - I cut my eye teeth on this sort of material. I only wish there were some way to send this to my late dad, who died about 35 years ago - he'd have loved it ps - glad you've recovered from Covid Chase - now keep em coming
Just awesome Chase - another classic that my late father taught me, this time I learned it as a solo piece for guitar, and I still play it that way on my much loved Taylor, but your rendition makes my version sound like I just learned the piece last week, not about 40 years ago.
I hadn't seen this for a couple weeks. What a tasty morsel! I love that long pause, I love that swagger with the mic stand in her left hand, I love the scat singing. The whole package!
@@sheepdog4268, absolutely every singer of the Songbook has recorded this Ellington-Russell tune, including most of the real greats, and so have some pretty unlikely others -- e.g., Paul McCartney and Willie Nelson. I haven't heard all of them, but I've probably heard most. It has simply never been done better. It just hasn't.
You know . . . there's scat, and then there's *scat* !!! Whoa.
Grandma and Grandpa would absolutely love to hear you sing this♥️

Chase your vocals are smoking.'
Bartender, keep those drinks coming. The next round is on me.
I love that you're showing us a new side of your talent. You knocked this one out of the park.
Couldn't agree more . AMAZING
Takes some guts to do a song that Ella owned. That's a tough comparison for any singer to stand up to. But y'know, she manages it. Nicely done.
