Eczema has plagued my wife 43 🤫 for a number of years, she has tried everything the Dr can throw at her. The biggest problem being scratching/itching which leads to scratch marks on the skin. Treatment is usually moisturising creams and antibiotics when it’s particularly bad. Any advice Dr Majd?
Thank you for your very kind words! Eczema is typically kept in check with limiting shower time to less than 5 mins, avoiding hot water, using moisturizer several times a day (i like Eucerin The Original b/c it is thick but not oily like vaseline). Prescription steroid creams can calm down flare ups. And for severe or diffuse eczema i have seen some good results with injectable Dupixent but it is managed by the dermatologist. This is a great topic, actually -- thank you for the suggestion and good luck to your wife!
