So i paused this video 8 minutes in to say how I go about replaying games. I play a game and if I want to play it again, I wait a year so it's not as fresh in my mind. Anyway back to the rest of the video hahaha
About the crossover thing, keep playing the game. Without spoilers, but there is a part that will put a huge smile on your faces and you will know when it happens. Now, about the comparison between Marvel games. I finished and really loved all of them, and I say each has different proposals. I love Avengers, both the single player and multiplayer aspects and still keep playing since launch. For story and interactions between characters I think Guardians beat Avengers, Guardians is ridiculously awesome in these aspects, you got to finish it, full of surprises. That said, I also remember both funny and really touching moments in Avengers. Now, if we speak gameplay, man... Avengers for the win. And actually even the Avengers single player campaign there's lots of moments like Guardians, contemplative, walking, talking between characters, exploring, great action sequences, but the gameplay/combat of the Avengers is what really shines.
I still think Avengers would've been better as a linear story driven game like guardians or ps4 Spiderman or the arkham games maybe switch between members of the team and still have their unique gameplay. I get it the live service adds more replay ability but based on how they're treating avengers live service they should've just made a single player avengers game. And I personally still go back and play arkham games and even ps4 Spiderman game.

And I'm worried now they're gonna make dlc or expansions you have to pay now for new characters because they lost 90% fanbase because they rushed the game out during quarantine and make up the money they lost. I'm also not playing avengers because they don't give you more in game credits or have places to earn more so you can buy more skins and unlock the the new hero challenge card which was stupid.
If Avengers had just kept the core combat mechanics and put that into a longer singleplayer story (maybe spend 1-3 chapters with each team member seeing where they are after A-Day and bringing them back to the team) it could have been an outstanding game. Cause at it's core the game is fun, it's just really dragged down by all the facets of live service games.
Playing through the avengers campaign right now thanks to gamepass and I'm really enjoying it, wouldn't have played it otherwise because of the negative perception that surrounded it
I think the narrative is a better idea... Simply because then they can just get another and another game out. It's kinda what sequels are for. The live service just trips over itself, it really made it so I don't pick up the game at all. Meanwhile, I have replayed spider-man twice, plus miles twice... Maybe if they made the campaign BIGGER for each avenger you can play, or something. But really flying around as Iron man or swinging through rooftops as spiderman(in spiderman) after it's beaten, really feels about the same...

Guardians is a straight up better deal for 60 bucks imo, but avengers could possibly be more fun over time but, idk
