      How have you learnt to calm yourself when you're in the grip of overthinking? Do you overthinking, because you've got general anxiety and a need to control, because you grew up in a chaotic household or something?

      from experience i believe that overthinking is a protection. it covers up somethinv we dont want to deal with. overthinking might be painful but still less painful than what we buried so deep, at least its what we believe so it keeps happening. its not a fun ride to deal with that but the payoff is better than winning any lottery, a quiet mind is something I truly wish for everyone ❤❤

      @@UnderstandingEmotionsYT First when the thoughts try to pull me in i start to put my attention to my breath and then sense perceptions.. then the thoughts become under control and i mediate minimum once a day and takes daily walks in nature. The progress is big. I think my reason for overthinking was a sense of "control" yes.. is was my comfort zone.. UNTIL it got to the point i developed OCD in the end so at first i "controlled* the thoughts and then they started to tell me to do horrible things.. i thought i was becoming a psychopath.. and i thought i heard voices but all was my obsessive thoughts.. thanks to Eckhart i now know that we are NOT our thoughts.. thank god. It got so bad that i ran to the mental hospital at some point and they tried to put me on meds but my intuition told be that this is not right.. there is another way. ♥️

      I also love Tolles books,
      but I gotta say,
      it was from the repeatedly listening & watching of his yt videos that I first noticed being aware of the destruction (the suffering that I can actually physically feel) created solely by negative thoughts/ the voice(s) in my head (& the accompanying mental imageries/intrusive thoughts)
      just being aware, one time at a time,
      feeling the presence
      is all that's needed,
      & thoughts begin to lose their hold,
      every time we wake up, to "presence" even for just a minute, we _experience first hand_ that we no longer need to fight & struggle with ghosts from the past or imagined worries of an imagined "future", & these moments can grow & deepen, as the distractions weaken, truly a blessing, no longer having to be "lost" in anxious day-dreaming or nightmare scenarios..

    I have a question about the energies of fear in the body. The other day I was followed by the cops while I was walking upstate. Pretty desolate here so it felt like a horror film. I was present. I was aware. And I made it back to the cabin safely. However for the next 24 hours I could not stop shaking because of the fear that was trapped in my body. I kept thinking I’m of the worst case scenarios. And I ended up eventually. Crying and raging it all out. I still was in awareness but my body definitely needed to process this way and I’d be afraid of spiritually bypassing if I didn’t. I have practiced non duality for years now and sometimes I find that the body actually does need to break down in a sense to become present and peaceful again.

    A quasi, deterministic principle rests on "thoughts" which are incumbent on an "emotional stream" , filtered, retracted, and re distributed by the uncertainty of a binary flux. The correlation between an ontological presence of what is "thought" , exists, as such presents a bi conditional transitory state of what we "feel." The barrier distinguishing "thought" and "emotion" lures a detached sequence in order to formulate rational, lucid discourse as opposed to spurious rhetoric flourishing with dogma. The essence of intellectual virtue through a cohesive neural pattern must ascertain "intrinsic value." This begs the question: Do you control your mind or does your mind have control over you? Yes, we have a choice in every moment. Choosing the most beautiful thoughts from the heart and mind, eventually it will be more effortless. It's important to still have joy and fun in everything. Thank you for a great video! It is really helpful and practical. Thank you. I have a question though because there is something I don't understand: my thoughts can be negative, I agree, but sometimes those negative thoughts push me to take action to improve my life, e.g. I wake up in the middle of the night worrying about my health, so the next day I am motivated to go to gym, etc. So I am a little perplexed: I don't know if "not thinking" is another way of just saying "ignore your problems and it will go away". Any thoughts?❤

  • @HenrikTue-bc9mk
    @HenrikTue-bc9mk หลายเดือนก่อน

    It can also feels like a need for taking action, and as such the thoughts might be trying to make you realize that. Or is every real and true answer only ever to reveal itself from complete silence, and body/breathing awareness? No matter the state of consciousness (so far😊) I am having a hard time accepting (in silence) that my teen-age son almost never manage to get up in the morning, in time to get to school on time. I know that my mind is an expert in magnifying any unwanted moments, but I cannot just sit in silence and be chanting “Tiiiiime iiiiiiss aaaan iiiiiiluuuuuusiiiiioooonn , Ohhm”.
    It is like saying “within 50 years, I might think my son has learned to get up in time”. and btw hope for any employer to respond “ Come, when yooooooouu aaaaare reeeeaaaaadddyyyy, Ohhm”.
    It is easy for me to sit in my room, alone and not think (because it is not needed) until it is half and hour since I last said to my son that he should get up…… which is now…

    • @HenrikTue-bc9mk
      @HenrikTue-bc9mk หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well time IS an illusion, and my statement above has nothing to do with not coping with daily matters in the world of “time”.
      But hope to experience that the sum of meditation “I have practiced” is going to make a difference in my life. Theres a gap between beeing silent in a room of stillness - , and then talking to anyone, anywhere, anytime about anything….. There is the daily challenge right there, in your face. All those situations in daily life, constantly calling for actions. The way in which we take actions may need adjustment, and consciousness must be better than no consciousness. But I see no significant change. Oh, Btw. my son got late…… again…..

    No question, Eckhart Tolle has given us much, his thoughts on the power of now and of a higher level of consciousness and being are invaluable. However, he doesn't understand how the mind works. "Consciousness" is in a quiet state, seeing what is, the mind is in a state of wonder. The mind is composed of clear thoughts and confused thoughts. Eckhart is aware of the confused part and doesn't realize that Jesus communicated with God mind to mind, with clear, and true thoughts.

    Here’s the trap I fall into sometimes when I’m realizing it:
    1) I’m meditating and thoughts 💭 come up but not destructively. They sometimes feel like surface thoughts that need to be purged before going deeper into meditation (similar experiences to psychedelics). However sometimes that works and other times though the thought anchors itself and leads to a domino effect of other thoughts.
    2) It’s late at night and I’m lying in bed and know that I can’t take any actions on those thoughts anyway but that process acts like a caffeine boost that makes it harder to settle down and go to sleep.
    In either case awareness is key, but it is a self imposed mental trap.

    I love to be in the present, but I find being in the present slows me down when doing tight deadline stuff. So I do try and come back to the present afterwards, but I find it is impossible to do them at the same time.

    God does not exist in your thoughts

  • @sixtysecondphilosopher
    @sixtysecondphilosopher 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

    God is not dead, man is. The abstract eye has never been able to draw a line around man and show him as a fixed unit unto himself. Adumbration is impossible both externally and internally. What is it of us that not only knows this to be the case, but is also cool with it?
    The systemic eye is replete with a set of a’ priori modes. The modes allow us to enter all fields of thought and systemise our positions. We systemise and we synthesise. We can’t synthesise our position as human.
    I don’t believe in the fairy tale version of God but that doesn’t mean the story ends there. I find it odd that a species that hasn’t found its own ontological footing is writing off the notion of God in an absolute way.
    God for me is an eye passing through the body conduit to reach its own end. God is predetermined to become whole again. Who knows, eh? I do know we have a lot more homework to do before we make any absolute statements either way.
    We are not our egos. We are the system mic eye and until we know more we should keep our minds open.
