Haener deserves a chance… I felt like he did better than Rattler as the back up so I’m glad he is the starter and I think they are going to upset the commanders
I initially wanted them to go with Ratt but after hearing this interview this kid has some “it factor” reminiscent of Drew. I think he’s gonna have a helluva game and really rooting for him.
Rapidly goes through progressions and distributes the ball across the field,. Very quick release. Not a cannon, but arm is strong enough to make every throw. Unsure on his deep accuracy. Hasn't truly been tested under pressure (in the NFL, yet), but did fine in college. Plays mistake free. More mature than the other young QB they have, seems more headstrong, mature, more dedicated. Real potential here for the Saints and their future.

man I’m telling u us Saints fan are truly sleeping on Haener, I actually watched all of Haener throws and games including preseason and the few times he came in to relieve Carr, I was curious to see if he really was trash or not, after I evaluated the tapes, I’m telling u, I came out there as a believer in Haener, his traits is having a quick release, quick decision making, and he truly does know how to read a defense and he changes the play when he sees something he doesn’t like, and he has a good pocket awareness to step up and still deliver the ball under pressure, I use to think he was trash too like the rest of the fan base, but not anymore after I evaluated his tapes this season, I promise u, he will make u a believer and more mad at the coaching staff for having Carr start over him, just watch, i never really paid attention to Haener and already was convinced he wasn’t good so when he did come in, I kinda ignored everything that he was doing good and probably only saw two bad plays he did and judge him off of that and ignored the rest of the plays that he did great on like most of us Saints fans are doing without actually giving him a chance, I promise u he will prove u wrong
