    Point to be taken
    1- If you were not an influencer with such a following, you would be not getting apology or more so reimbursement of extra charges.
    2- Having lived in UK, I have found customer service of many place equally shabby. I can't say all people are bad but became a major reason to leave UK to settle in Germany.

    Great for the car rental company to admit their mistake which I guess they would have had to do considering the visibility such a matter might get. But some rules are absolutely absurd with these car rental companies. E.g. Even if once your card gets declined for even a wrong PIN entry the same card cannot be used again for a 2nd try for 24 hrs. This is with Thrifty. I dont know who sits and makes such rules. Being in the service industry company's need to have pro consumer rules and regulation.

    I'd a similar experience with Sixt in Ireland 🇮🇪. I'd booked a VW Passat or similar and they were offering me Skoda Octavia @ same price. Octavia is a lower model than the Passat. Equivalent is the Superb. As regards Europecar I've had a good experience. I'd booked an Audi A4 or similar with GPS in Scotland 3 months in advance, and they didn't have any GPS in entire Edinburgh. I told them I'd booked 3 months ago and now my entire trip will have to be canceled. I told them they had a Mercedes C class which was a much higher model. It had a built-in GPS and they readily gave me that car at no extra charges.
