Put some reverb on that left guitar. Sounds way to dry to my ears. also I didn't like the comping of Nigel Price. Menconi on the other hand is another class, compared to Nigel. Sorry, but I can hear worlds between the two of them... This was a statement by a graduated Jazz Guitarist. Peace out ✌✌
You know, I slowly found over the years there is a sometimes a little giveaway sign that someone can’t play for shit. That sign is trash talking other players from the safety of an anonymous account. If this is the way that you talk to other musicians, then you should give up now because you’re not gonna make it as a professional. Good luck with it all. Peace, out.✌️
Insulting?? The guy is just expressing an opinion. It is rather, a critic. He's just criticising Mr. Price's playing. A bad criticism, whether right or wrong, is always constructive. That's the only way a musician can improve. And that's the problem with English musicians nowadays. They always say each other (after a gig e.g.) "great playing man" with a fake smile on their face , even if the guy has played really bad. He will never improve, and that's why our English jazz scene is what it is. Americans say the truth straight in your face. I personally don't dislike Mr. Price's playing. Of course you can see the difference between him and the italian player, whom playing is more genuine, and the comping better. I like to listen to Mr. Price at the gigs, but I prefer when he is guesting with other bands, I'm not a fan of his own group. I have seen his organ trio a couple of times around England, and I'm not impressed. Especially the drummer named Barford, he is boring. He's like a photocopy, in black and white, of Bill Stewart. I have seen him with other bands too and he always plays the same. Even his timing, I've seen him at Boulevard theatre in London and he was dragging, I saw him with an american trumpet player and he was rushing. He is so overrated! Anyway keep up the good work Mr. Price, we all have to improve, I'm a painter and amateur bass player, and I have to improve myself in both fields, even if I'm a pensioner now.
Tight tight tight!
Priceless, fantastic, beautiful, unbelievable, two great players thanks.
Two wonderful virtuoso’s!!!!
Nigel…those licks!!!!!!!! WOW -
I’m looking forward to seeing you guys next time in London!!
You guys are the best! What a great balance between cool jazz guitar and some sassy blues licks to spice it up. I love it. Cheers from Norway 😀
Thanks so much!

Yeah!!
Great playing. By BOTH guitarists. Lovely solos, comping and feeling of conversation.
And that's what I love about great players! They really know how to complement one another's style! Just wonderful!
