Calgon take me away!!! I had a great week then some jack*ss ruined it and on top of that we can’t even blame men. It was a woman. You guys are the soothing balm I needed to step out of that headspace. Thanks for sharing and being there 😊. Knitting makes everything better
I always knits cuff down socks. For my heel flap: make sure you have even amount of stitches for your sock and use half the stitches for the heel. Slip the 1st stitch, knit and repeat the slipped stitch and knit 1 across your row. On the purl side- slip 1st stitch and purl rest of stitches in the row. Repeat this 2 row pattern for your heel flap. Makes for a reinforced heel flap. 😊🧶🧦
I have 8 sisters, but am only close to one. I so envy you…of course I live in Ireland and they live in Michigan, but we weren't close when I lived in Michigan..
Hi sisters! Jamie you made me think about adding a few extra rows to my right sleeve when I knit a long-sleeved sweater! I've noticed forever that my right arm is longer than my left, same with my feet. So cool that we can make items that fit our unique bodies! Happy New Year to you and your families!
I don't do as much positive ease on petite knit patterns either, she is a totally different body type to you and me! I think it makes a difference to how the garments hang.
I always use the Partridge (slip/knit) heel on my socks as it just looks so pretty. When l lose track I look at the last knit row on the RS where I can see the slip stitch is larger (elongated). I know I need to knit the stitch above it to get back on track. Hope this makes sense😊
@Katepwe Grannies has always been 'home base' and the place we gather over the years. We all spend alot of time there with her, especially now that she's older and needs our care.
I have done a pr of shorties...my first try of socks. 15 rnds rib 15 rounds leg..then go to doing the heel ..i used ..no fear shorty socks from earthtone girl..Denise DeSantis ...very good instructions
Check out the Staffin sweater by Rebeacca of the Creabea...just released and very similar to the Storm/Ingrid/Salty Days. It is also worsted weight. Try the slip stitch heel flap...slip one knit one repeat across every right side row.
I really want to knit the storm sweater too. Can you tell me if the pattern is written or charted? I haven’t been knitting sweaters very long and am not at all familiar with charts. Your sweaters are beautiful! And Sarah I love your blanket, excited to see it finished! 🧶😊
@charlenestevens2676 It's a great knit and the pattern is simple to follow. There are both written and charts for some of the instructions but just charts for the body and sleeves. Don't let that deter you though, her instructions are clear and because it's just knits/purls/increases and decreases (no crazy cables or lace) this is a good place to try charts!
Ingalls is gorgeous!!

Heel Flap and Gusset is the GOAT
My mom always said that if your palm itches you will be receiving money!
Oooh Jamie, your Storm Sweater looks amazing! Katie, yours is going to be gorgeous too.
And Sarah, your Westknits mismatch socks are the cutest!
I just love watching you ladies. You guys make me laugh a lot.

I wanna cast on a Storm! They look so good.
You ladies are looking thinner. Congrats. Love your natural hair Sarah.
After seeing that awesome backpack I had to go order one! Your mom is so talented. ❤️
I will totally buy a small wallet!! Love it

I make a sock with a diamond heel. No picking up stitches…

The sister in the center always looks like she’s being held hostage! 🤣
@@dianawinton1330 she probably feels that way sometimes🤣🤣🤣🤣
Getting ready to cast on the Mini Me MKAL! It’s going to be for my daughter if I can part with it 😂
Love the green sweater youre wearing 😍😍
Ysolda has deep shadow heel knitting tutorial on TH-cam that is amazing. It has an amazing fit with the shadow wrap heel and gusset stitches also.
Who else is curious as to why grammas house is used for videos and yarn storage instead of their own?

@ love it 💕
I love the Eye of Partridge Heel. To figure out which row you're on I read my knitting from the back of the heel. Just alternate where the slips go.
Earthtones girl has a garter heel flap tutorial. I love the fit of it, it's so squishy.
Have you ever tried the sweet tomato heel by Cat Bordhi. It is simple. Totally different and fun.
If your right palm itches you will receive money, if it's your left money will go out

Itchy left palm means you are about to lose money, and itchy right palm means you’re about to gain money…lol

Blame perimenopause/menopause for any weird body symptoms.
I did a shadow wrap short row heel byHollybellKnits and a rounded toe by a pattern from wendypoole
