Why wouldn't you still use 3.5 harddrives? They go up to 20 terabytes now and are by far the cheapest per gigabyte way to store your data.
Say you have a gaming PC tower it is still quite common to have the OP installed on the SSD but install the games on the HDD.
Say you backup your data once in a while, you are also gonna use 3.5 HDDs because they are cheap, and for that you don't need speed.

Because we travel with SSD and standard drives are now junk to us.
We have lost so much data by that method. When we travel to events and shows, The LAST thing you want is a cheaply made standard platter disk spinning around in your equipment or storage boxes. LOL
We make dvds right at the concerts or events for the promoters and you will NEVER have safety with drives if the are mechanical using this method.
Now, If we had those drives at home or at one place, YES, We might use them. MIGHT ;)
P.S. And yes, We need as much speed as we can get when people order an event, at the event and are standing right in front of you waiting ;)
(Or they will leave and buy something else)
P.S. Not to mention also, You can only drop a standard hard drive maybe 1 time, I can take that ssd and through it across the arena and go and pick it up and still make dvds on the spot with it.
(You know, if it fell off the table or stage or people bumping the dj booth or whatever)

I have one, and am trying to copy a 1TB drive. After 15 hours the blue lights for percent are just cycling back and forth...so I do not think it is doing anything.

It should have been able to copy 1tb WAAAAY faster than that :(
Are you using the stand alone feature or is it hooked up to a computer for the tansfer?

@@RamblinBobReviews going to let it run for 24 hours then take a look at it. Then try one more time. Both lights on drives are blinking red and blue. No weird beeping when I hit the start button.
