But what kin dee is saying about given the beat does not make sense coz that's his profession, if every artist will play his beat how will the engineers eat, again the beat mostly is played by listening to the rythm the person bring to the studio, the artiste sings whiles the engineer listen and follow with his rythm
Sound engineer doesn't make beats. There is difference between beat maker, producer and sound engineer. Please, educate our people right.

An audio engineer (also known as a sound engineer or recording engineer) helps to produce a recording or a live performance, balancing and adjusting sound sources using equalization, dynamics processing and audio effects, mixing, reproduction, and reinforcement of sound.
As the name implies they have different ears when it comes to sound and the are responsible for the technical aspects of the equipment,
