Michelle - thanks for the comment. I also have a book, drink tea and read the paper that covers lots of process improvement concepts. You can get it from LULU.COM
Hi Diana - I'm personally not a fan of any transformations. And I've never used transforms of any kind. I'm of the opinion that if the signal is in the data it doesn't need any mathematical teasing to find it. If it's not there, it's not there. However, in my world where I'm looking mainly at Physics that principle works very well. However, I believe in biology transforms might be useful, but it's not my area of experience...
cheers pal, lifesaver.
Glad to help Archie....
I love it, straight and to the point. I would be interested in hearing about some real world examples where this was applied.
Good to hear from you, I would say go and look at your own data, I'm sure you'd find some easy examples...
Thank you so much for this! Really helped with my literature report on Control Charts

Very helpful thank you sir
Most welcome
thank you
My pleasure Sofia...
hi Paul. What about Attribute data as a DOE response? Im reading about the Arcsine transformation - what do you think about it?

@@paulallen5321 thanks Paul. Makes sense. This would be for a welding manufacturing process.
Diana - if welding your thing...here's my case study video.

can we convert attribute data into variable data?
No you can only do it the other way around variable to attribute. Remember attribute data is rubbish, It contains very little information..
