As a girl who has a makeup addiction and has a swimming pool that I use as much as possible and takes water aerobics classes at my local pool in full makeup this simply isnt true. I've worn mascara, lip stick, foundation, etc. If the mascara isnt water proof that can be a mess, but for the most part even in the sun my makeup does pretty well. The beach may be a little different with the salt water, but my pool is salt water as well. As far as heat, you just get used to doing small touch ups and I bring a lipstick that has a small mirror on the back so that I can do some touch ups. Ofcourse I don't always wear makeup and most times will not. Just saying I have experience with wearing a full face of makeup in water in the heat and indoors

Anyone saying their makeup comes off while swimming, needs therapy to overcome insecurity. Honestly, I’m very insecure about my dark circles, but I try to enjoy what I like without thinking about my look. I do wear concealer every single time I step out of the house otherwise. I have social anxiety and don’t want attention or people talk to me. When I don’t wear concealer strangers ask if I feel sick, slept enough/tell me to sleep more, drank alcohol, or keep looking at me assuming I’m an addict. It’s painful, especially when family members do this to you. They say “you just imagine it”, then see me without concealer and make comments, not knowing that’s what I was talking about
This reminds me of the time I said to my friends imagine, how painful it would be to be stabbed and then that one betch said “oh I got a paper cut once it was painful”
When foundation companies say “waterproof” they mean that you can get a few droplets or just one quick dip into your face with water. Not a full swimming session

Yeah it's probably also not good for your skin. Chlorine is really drying and it could possibly cause some kind of reaction with your makeup.
Yes that was one dip in tap water. Chlorinated water mixed with sun, prolonged exposure is a lot tougher
