  • The Boston Celtics couldn’t complete the historic comeback in a 103-84 loss to the Miami Heat in Game 7. Jayson Tatum rolled his ankle on the Celtics first possession of the game and ended up with 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting. After the game Tatum said he was only a quote, “shell of myself.” Jimmy Butler earned Eastern Conference Finals MVP award and Heat now matchup with the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to Heat’s win in Game 7.

For a guy who was never supposed to be "the guy," Jimmy Butler has stepped up for every team he's played for. When Derrick Rose went down with injuries, Jimmy stepped up for the Bulls. When Kat was playing soft, Jimmy stepped up for the Timberwolves. When Ben Simmons was playing like trash, Jimmy stepped up for the Sixers. And when the Heat needed a star, Jimmy stepped up once again. This is a guy who is never considered a superstar, but defies expectations every year and is probably the greatest underdog story in basketball

There’s a reason he didn’t touch it. It had nothing to do with class.
Jimmy embraced Celtic players and even thanked his team mates after that win.
For as silly as it sounds, there’s a superstition surrounding touching the conference title trophy. Many teams, players, coaches wouldnt touch the conference title trophy either for this reason.
A more practical explanation is, he’s thinking : “The jobs not finished” a la Kobe Bryant.

I think the biggest sequence of the game was the first two possessions of the fourth quarter. Tatum blows a wide open, and I mean wide open, layup to cut the lead to 8, and in turn, Miami gets a wide open 3 in transition making the lead 13. Huge swing and set the tone for the 4th. Heat probably would’ve won either way, but that sequence was huge to start the 4th.

The Miami Heat played hard and with heart. They played team ball and it was an exciting Cinderella story to watch unfold before our eyes as the Hear lost to the up and coming Hawks in the first round of the play in them came back after that by winning every series after that. I was worried all the praise being heaped on Jimmy Butler would miss with his mind a little and cause him to press in the final round against Boston but they proved me wrong as they won the first three games but then suddenly lost three straight almost winning the sixth game of not for failing to block out White as he laid a missed time expiring shot back into the bucket. One team came ready for game seven in Boston and that team wasn’t Boston as Miami won with ease after Tatum got injured it didn’t seem like Boston was prepared to step up. Finally to see a sub who I like Dunkin Robinson deliver the it’s over pose as he ran down the court with his hand under his ear daring the fans to show any excitement. I think everyone knew it was over at that point.

    It apparent in EVERY sport.
Pressure to win at home in game 7 NBA is not easy mentally. Shots normally made are missed due to over tension. Not easy to relax and flow normally.
PGA players know this or so well. The more pressure the harder to put that golf ball where you want it. Ask Normam! "PRESSURE"!
(The ice water in the vien posture can come back to bite ya!)

Let’s go Miami! 🔥 let’s see what coach spo draws up for Denver. Simply take away the things that Denver does good and that will give us a chance.

These big Oakley doke guards every team has need to stay at shooting guard

@Unbiased Critic Because it's an 8th seed who almost blew a 3-0 lead against the #1 seed with a 2x MVP. Statistically, it looks like a major mismatch, and not having seen Miami heating up during the playoffs will probably lead to people trying to discredit the Nuggets if they win
