Hey! I’ve been trying to buy one of these units for a year and a half and keep getting told I have to wait until November 22’ to buy. Now I’m being told there won’t be product until 2023? I’m running a mobile sharpening business and this doesn’t seem like a great option for me. (Located in Toronto Canada)
Hello I have a Skatepal pro that I will sharpen Channel Z with. Watched a video here on TH-cam where you adjusted the skate holder to the grinding wheel with Prosharp 29024 Wheel adjustment tool but can not find where to buy this fantastic tool ... Someone who knows where to buy this
Hi guys, I recently purchased a prosharp home (used 2018) and in order to get level edges I have to turn the adjustment knob to the extreme right position.(I’m careful to install the grinding ring correctly) Is there a coarse adjustment somewhere on the machine?
Hi! The machine is calibrated from the factory and as long as you get level edges it doesn't matter if the adjustment knob is in the extreme positions on either side. All that matters is that the clamping and wheel align and that you get level edges. Was that an answer to your question?
@@edgerunnermobileskatesharps You shouldn't have to do that. We would recommend that you color the bottom of the blade with a sharpie. Sharpen the blade and stop it halfway through the pass. Unclamp the blade and look at the bottom of the skate. See that all of the color is gone on the sharpened part of the blade. Look at where the grinding wheel was stopped, is it a horizontal line or is it skewed?
@@ProsharpWorld hello again, I wanted to send pics of the marker test but I think I’m unable to do that in this forum. The results are: at the beginning of the blade, less than half of the marker is removed and slowly towards the middle of the skate blade it nearly all is removed. It seems to me either the ring is not moving in a straight line or the holder is not allowing for a parallel placement or maybe both.
is there a dresser for the grinding wheel? how does. it keep the shape for 1000 cycles?

@@ProsharpWorld I forgot to add : an equal number of passes have to be made with the skate facing each way in the machine.

@@edgerunnermobileskatesharps It seems like the machine needs to be calibrated by a Prosharp technician. Where are you located?
