Thank you man for showing to me what means 22 blinks. I have CANNON MP 230 and it was the same to me it blinked 22 times.. So i open the scanner and just move him a little it seems it was stuck somehow (maybe something fall on him i dont know) and now is working and scanning without problem.. I advise all who have the same problem to dont buy immediately a new scanner, first try it by moving him a little and place it to the center and also check the cables to make sure is connected properly to the scanner. I hope will work also for you. :)
I have also experienced similar problems with this, part of what should be changed or fixed? I do not see what you've been replaced. Thank you for the help.

@@printingsolutionz7013 hai, in Sacanner out put, I will get black bar on the middle of the page, from top to bottom, what is the issue. Before I got big shadow bar on left side, after open and cleaning, now got middle of the page, but size is small now.And where u get canon G2000 scanner unit and also price?
Quick question, i am getting the 22 blink error. Now instead of replacing, is they anyway to just disable the scanner all together, as i dont use this any more, just use it for scanning.
Hello..from experience, there's no way to disable the scanner since it's already program with the main board.🙂
No es necesario cambiar todo el escáner. La solución es cambiar la lámpara. Se le puede sacar la lámpara a la canon MG2470 o a la MG2570. Se la cambias y ya no da ese error.
salut, j'ai une imprimante canon pixma G2411..
Problème :
voyant orange du triangle d'alerte allumé et stable ainsi que bouton vert de'alimentation ...
On essayant d'imprimer ou scanner je reçois sur mon PC le message suivant :
' impossible de communiquer avec l'imprimante..ouvrez la fil d'attente...'
j'ai tout fait à la lettre , j'ai même changer lecordon et le PC SANS resultat positif..

Hi Sir..if 22 lights blinking, your scanner has a problem..it should be replaced to solve the problem.. better if you can bring your printer to the nearest authorized Canon service center.🙂

Hi Sir.. it would be great if you can visit a canon service center and inquire if there's a replacement cable for scanner and have it replace by them..as far as I know, they only have whole scanner assembly as replacement.🙂

Hello.. maybe it was infested. You can check if there's any insect (like ants, crickets) . That might cause the problem 🙂
