Left WWE to do more. And left aew to do more. The wrestling industry sounds like a nightmare to work for unless you got it.
To be fair you gotta prove you got it. Look at how far Cody had to go in order to prove he deserves to be back in WWE.
Not just in the wrestling industry, a lot of industries are like that. Sometimes you're mediocre no matter which company.
worst when working in coorperate world lol
just keep jumping and get that salary increment lol
not everyone can be a megastar
I'd never thought I'd see the day Spears back in WWE
I’d love to see a heel faction of ex AEW wrestlers in WWE.
A radicalz situation would be a cool idea
I had such high hopes for "the chairman" after his match with Cody. I thought they would make him a middleweight champ or something. Than he joined the pinnacle and i regained hopes yet again. They really dropped the ball with him. Sure hes not perfect, but i likened him to Tully as us champ before his fued with Magnum. He could have been so much more than a joke who wins every match thats not on dynamite.
Dude, his Chairman character was so darn good. The entrance with him sitting in the chair and the music was so darn good.
@@Billy-bc8pk couldn't agree more. It was fire.
Hes a jobber maybe a midcarder for life.
There is nothing wrong with that. He has made a good chunk of money being a jobber/midcarder
I just think it's a case of bad timing with Shawn Spears. In an era with faith from creative and a push, that Chairman gimmick is a total money maker. Perhaps it might be an age or injury thing but that's a totally awesome gimmick with the music and entrance to it. He mentioned learning to put his foot down so perhaps he might have been a lil too nice perhaps.
In any case, all the best mate.
idk about this guy saying hes made the right career choices haha
They did nothing with him after promising to push him and show WWE how it’s done. Safe to say they failed at that
He had a great run when he was with MJF lol, better than everything he did when he was on main roster in the WWE.
AEW main roster is WWE mid card roster basically he had no choice but to go back and try to be a star@@joaquimaraujo96
@@joaquimaraujo96 they presented him as a top heel in 2019 only to end up as MJF’s lackey
@@joaquimaraujo96nope
Spears was never very popular. It wasn't aews fault. If anything he was pushed more than he should have been
Apparently grass isn't always greener from the otherside
It’s greener where you water it
tbh he was a jobber in WWE towards the end of his run, going to AEW was good for him
@@noUGames jobbers are needed
It never is in life
Now he gets to help the young talent in NXT improve not only in the ring but out of the ring as well.
But wait I thought every wrestlers dream is to be on the main roster on raw or smackdown which nxt is a step down from them to. If he wants to help wrestlers then why don't he retire and run the wrestling school he co owns with tyler breeze...... answer that one if you can
He's never been booked right..also he shouldn't have lost to cody
0:36 The inmates running the asylum ain't his cup of tea🥲
"asylum" all this hatred because you don't like a show
@leorelic "shut it fedshill" 🥲the classic
Adidas partnered up with WWE didn’t know that
It’s funny how TK gave him time off to grieve for his mom that passed away, and then gave him time off to be with his wife and new born child. Only for him to turn his back on Tony Kahn and rejoin the theatre world of the WWE, a company that made him look like 💩.
He went for the shortcut.
Nitpick here in this clip but the background noise from the mics whenever you guys are talking is REALLY noticable when listening on earbuds/headphones.
So he leaves WWE to go to AEW…only come crawling back to WWE by way of NXT…prolly all because he heard Vince was gone, so he thinks he’ll get better opportunities from Shawn Michaels & Hunter? Sad run for a wrestler…
In reality he's nothing special. He found something people like chanting and that's it.
A fine wrestler but not remarkable and easily replaceable
He said he likes where he's at and I believe him. He's doing work behind the scenes too. He doesn't have to leave his home for days at a time and he's making good money
Can we finally agree the "perfect 10" is more like a 6.5 maybe a 7?
😂😂😂😂 this guy didn’t do s**t in his AEW run…..I mean…C’mon, that gimmick “chairman” just proves what his creative mind processes lol.
Besides that, his matches were mediocre if anything when I did unfortunately watch them but I usually just change channels when he’s on.
My 2cents🤷🏽♂️
Agreed
haha he left AEW and went to developmental to do more? right.
Did you miss the part about him wanting to help develop younger talent. That wasn't happening in AEW, that's what he wanted to do more of. I remember a few ex aew guys saying aew talent didn't want to learn or accept advice
Shawn spears is a Npc character. Cookie cutter basic, no charisma, bad character work. Hes like the default wrestler in games.
That’s the majority of talent in Aew lol
For real.
You just described almost every indie wrestler 😂
Found Chris Jericho’s alt account. Retire old man.
Those guys make great enhancement talent though
the reason he left is because Cody left the end.
Shawn spears is in the same boat with ethan page he's talented but here's the thing it doesn't matter where he goes he's nothing more than a mid card level talent. And in my opinion they think by jumping ship from aew to the wwe ol paul lesvesque is going to make the universal champion or wwe champion or whatever the hell their main titles are but in reality they're dreaming because it's not gonna be reality. They're both better off on nxt because if the move to the main roster they're gonna find themselves unemployed. And that's not me knocking them that's just me stating my opinion which 99% true.
Lol Spears definitely don’t have in mind being WWE champion at some point. He just wants to work
Even Chris doesn't want to interview AEW talent anymore apparently.
Or maybe he has a deal with wwe 👀
@@angelven30 oooogy boogy loser oooogy boooogy
@@angelven30 lol here we go
Look man he wasn't get used in WWE and he wasn't getting used in AEW. Sometimes it's not the company but the talent themselves.
Keep using that line for every talent that leaves AEW. When the last talent leaves, maybe you will do some critical thinking, probably not, you are an AEW fan in 2024 after all.
@@jasonfuller2734 spears is completely forgettable outside of saying ten. You don't need to like aew to realize that
He's training the new talents that's why he's in NXT
AEW Is Combination Of ECW & WCW.
More like czw and wcw.
Facts
And this is how you learn to be humble after leaving a company and going to another. Unlike the rest, like Miro. He debuted on AEW and trashed WWE. I know it wasn't his fault that WWE released him. But still, just be humble and move on
Miro just seems like a bad guy in the lockerroom. He's constantly burning bridges.
What about all the of the disgruntled ex wwe wrestlers who were complaining about Vince when was still in charge
The biggest fail is thinking AEW is like WWE.
Yeah, AEW is way better in matches. this guy went back to be nothing in NXT
@@LuisRdzG10 having better matches means nothing without storylines and starpower and their ratings and half empty arenas prove it
@@LuisRdzG10 if only people watched those matches...
Yeah, I don't know. He left because he was never going to get any higher in AEW. They tried. He got that chairman gimmick which NEVER really caught on but he pretended it was this big deal. He got put into multiple factions and just never stood out. His 10 gimmick kind of ruined his career because it got popular but not from actual talent like mic skills and in-ring ability.
Back in 2016/17 internet marks really thought this guy was the next Daniel Bryan because of that “10” chants similar to the “Yes” chants lmao.
Marks calls this guy “jobber” like it’s offensive but he gets to “job” to Peyton Royce every night while they still live with their parents
“Nobody says anything bad about TK”
He obv doesnt read internet comments then lol
If they used him properly he wouldnt have had to leave
So you can say that about WWE too lol
In the first run on main roster where was he? In AEW he has a great gimmick and he was doing a good job when he was with Mjf and The Pinnacle.
He is a mid card guy and at this point he is just there to put over the young guys.
10
He reminds a lot of baron corbin, hell of a talent in the ring but there’s no connect with his character and the fans….he would’ve fit perfect in NWA rn
all aew did was bring people in to pad their roster then just slowly just cast them all aside
Tk needs to know how to keep talent and cohesive stories that way people want to tune in and then your numbers would be better but he needs to give up power so they can succeed
True class, Spears is. Easy to root for him to have all the success possible.
He has a good relationship with " a lot of the EVPs " 🤔
I just realized he kinda sounds like cm punk
Damn he should win nxt championship
🙌🏻
Dude. Are you obsesed with asking wrestlers why they left aew. Or asking what the biggest difference is
Because it gets clicks.
You clicked the video andre cry a river 😹
Looking for a scoop that gets clicks is basic journalism 101, Mark
@@Wwediehard i didnt watch it. I only wanted to comment to this guys obsesed with aew
The grizzled young vets left tna. For aew why not interview them and ask them why they left tna. They are a great tag team. Why not interviw PCO or samoa joe. Arent theyb worthy enough. I bet you once peter avalon leaves aew he will be interviewed. Im just venting. Ill chill out now. Peace. Im old its late and i just had 2 donuts
AEW is WCW 2.0
Except not as successful.
spitting straight facts
@@insanejackentertainment8300 Yup, WCW made profit for at least 1 year. Just ignoring the PPV buys and TV viewership, that's already more than AEW has done in 5 years.
More like wcw 2.000
I agree with you
I hate when wrestlers lose their jobs but im also very happy when i see AEW lighten the roster up a bit because when AEW first started it was so good so many surprises so many storylines where i couldnt see where they we were going. Everything just seemed fresh. I still live AEW now and i dont understand the hate it gets at all but i think its a bloated roster
Aew would build these guys up like sprees , wardlow , lance archer then all of a sudden no where to be seen then another gimmick or thrown in with some dumbass faction
This seems to be case for most AEW wrestlers that leave WWE
Good on Shawn for leaving that empty show. Should’ve stayed on the right team that was home to you☝🏿
If you're not a bot, you live a very very sad life. Just identical comments thrashing AEW.... not a bot at all.
@@Krul6 nah just outing out the real marks
guess I found one 🫵🏿😂
And if WWE releases someone, they should just remain unemployed? The logic of fedbots is crazy.
Double S.S the Chairman I'm happy he's back an happy !!
Thanks! Its good to be back.
@doubles7533 🤔 is it jus me or tis the real Chairman? Dont tease me like tht !! Lol!!
@@brenndoncopeland3213 Lol
@doubles7533 A blessing 🙌 to see your healthy and more importantly happy S.S ! Please continue to inspire perseverance in your journey 🙏
These wrestlers are now realizing that AEW isn't the place to be featured. They are realizing maybe wwe is better now.
"I wanted to do more." That seems to be the theme for AEW wrestlers coming to the E.
besides his perfect 10 gimmick was his talent ever must see?
dude spears is trash im sorry
He left the indies to get back to the big leagues.
To end up in the same place as always: the mid card.
@@Ace20A he still gets paid and gets to go in the same room with Peyton Royce every night
@@ITSHIM1294
So basically anyone who is employed and has a lover/spouse? That doesn’t refute my point.
