Andy .... My piano buddy. Layne. Chris (you owe me for watching your GF while you rehearsed. Lol) and Jeff and Stone...I would give anything to hug both of you again!
Outshine by Soundgarden. Or Cochise, Like A Stone, or show me how to live, by Audioslave. Personally, I think that’s Chris Cornell at his best. Great videos too.
Chris Cornell was the first singer AND the one screaming his ass off....a beast! Voice of an angel.....nobody sings like Chris...just my opinion...RIP #Legend Chris Cornell
I second JEREMY from PEARL JAM. And yeah, you gotta do more Soundgarden too. Chris Cornell's death was just a life-rocking one for many of my friends. What a guy. So tragic.
Chris Cornell is my favorite singer of all time. To say that I was completely devastated and broken when I heard he died would be putting it lightly. I miss him so much.
I still cannot listen to Chris Cornell without tears in my eyes. This song just about destroys me. It does not get much better than this group of artists and their creation. Thank you!
Temple of The Dog was a band with members from both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. They released one album, of which I am the proud owner of a copy on vinyl. This is probably my most favorite song in the world.
Yes, please, definitely react to more Chris Cornell: either solo, Sound Garden, or Audioslave - you can't go wrong with any of it since it's his voice that makes absolutely anything he sings satisfying to listen to, but here's a suggestion for each, Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart, Pretty Noose, and Show Me How to Live (the guitarist from Rage Against the Machine, Tom Morello, is also a member of this band).
There's also a version of "Outshined" with Eddie doing backup vocals that is fantastic. He's hiding with the drummer so you don't really know he's there but their voices worked well together.
Tim, you AND Fred GOTTA listen to Chris's cover of "Nothing Compares 2 U." Absolutely incredible. This was a man with a 4 octave range. That's half of what Mariah Carey can do. Such a loss. RIP Chris
This was a song recorded on behalf of Andrew Wood a friend of Chris and Stone Gossard from PJ. He died of an overdose and the two bands PJ and SG got together to make a tribute album for his family . He was Chris Cornells flat mate and Eddie Vedder replaced him in Green River to become Pearl Jam. Allduring the late 80's
I'm pretty sure "Reach Down" and "Say hello to Heaven" were both for Andrew. Not sure about this one. Mother Love Bone's "Chloe" is still one of my all time favs though.
The entire album is a tribute to Andrew Wood, who was the lead singer of Mother Love Bone, which Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament were members of. Mother Love Bone was formed after Green River disbanded. Vedder was never a member of Green River. PJ was formed after Wood died and Vedder, who was living in California at the time, got a hold of demo tapes with some of Gossard's recorded music on them and immediately started writing lyrics to them and then recorded his vocals over them and sent them back up to Seattle. Gossard invited him up to Seattle and the rest is history, so to speak. PJ started recording thier first album shortly after Temple of the Dog was recorded.
I remember being in line behind Eddie Vedder at Larry's Market, around 1998. I didn't say anything to him (We don't fawn over our local celebs here), but I did notice we were both buying hummus....my lame claim to fame.
@@jtoland2333 I go there about every day and camped there as a teen when they filmed it in Port Townsend. Discovery park is on the wrong side of the Sound. I’d post a map and pictures but I can’t on here. Keep Rock Alive!! 🤘🏽🖤🔥🙌🏼 ℁
Chris Connells voice really resonates in my soul. Great to see you enlightening yourself with great tunes. Regardless of anyone's opinion, It changed my life for the better. I can only hope you explore more and appreciate the art.
You should check out Cris Cornell's version of Nothing Compares To You (live Sirius), bring a Kleenex. Unbelievable vocals, you won't be disappointed. ✌🤘
Chris Cornell was the voice of my generation. I saw him the week before he died in Indianapolis with the band SOUNDGARDEN....one of the rarest times you saw a whole crowd not raise their phones to record but to just take it all in with their eyes and enjoy the moment of hearing one of the greatest voices in music history.
People used to live in lighthouses. Someone had to be there full time to take care of it and make sure it was lit. Used to be a fire surrounded by mirrors so they would have to keep the fire going, then they switched to lightbulbs but those didnt last long. These days most lighthouses are unmanned, but theres some historical ones that still run the old way.
R.i.p. Chris cornell. Awesome video. I have this memory of watching this video in the days just after 9/11 when mtv went back to just playing music videos for few weeks. I had seen it Hunger Strike before but it was so sad because of 9/11 that I just cried whole video
This is the late, great Chris Cornell from Soundgarden and Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. Such a great collaborative album from two of the best bands to come out of Seattle in the 90s. If you liked this, I really recommend Chloe Dancer /Crown of Thorns by Mother Love Bone.
Heyyy thanks for checking this out! Love this song. Soundgarden & Pearl Jam supergroup, can’t get any better than that! Can we get some more Pearl Jam soon? Jeremy - official video?
EmDet 22. He’s been real cool with my requests with both versions of Black and now this so I don’t bug him I just leave em up there in rotation. So my next 2 are Would By AIC and Jeremy. 3rd one is a cureveball lol but more for him but Hotel California by The Eagles. It is a classic but older. Would and Jeremy said both studio versions only to keep it simple. Can’t do both versions of both lol. BLACK IS EPIC 😂🤣 Deserves BOTH 🙌👍😂👀👀♥️♥️
Chris Cornell who headed up Audioslave, Soundgarden, and had a great solo career and Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. What a combo. Say Hello to Heaven from Temple of the Dog should be on your list to react to from these guys as well.
This whole album is basically a tribute to Andrew Wood, the deceased lead of Mother Love Bone, who is attributed with the creation of the Seattle/Grunge sound that propelled Pearl Jam and Sound Garden (the two bands collaborating on this song/album) to massive success. Check that album (Apple) if you can find it. It was never promoted, but it's fantastic.
When you listened to Black ( unplugged version) by Pearl Jam, this is the lead singer and the lead singer from Soundgarden, which is deceased. These are two true legends!
Spilt Rock Lighthouse on Minnesota's coastline on Lake Superior is gorgeous and I recommend. Gooseberry Falls is close by and also worth visiting too. Ohio has a lighthouse on Lake Erie, my home state. I hope you find time to visit them.
