Thanks for your reply :) We also had them bad! I used nematodes last year & we hardly have any this year. Apparently got rid of the moles we've been fighting as well!!
L James Are nematodes something you have to purchase? I have hound dogs so we dont have a mole problem! The beetles arent nearly as bad this year, thankfully.
L James I dont order critters thru the mail. I would have to get mine the old fashioned way by letting nature attract them to my yard. I learned my lesson!!
Well now that I've spoken to the director of conservation at KU, I have decided it's best NOT to try to attract more by using the pheromone. It just brings more she said. ugh!!! THank you for watching and commenting. I have moved your comments to always approved. For some reason, they haven't been showing up normally. Not sure why. I didn't change anything.
darn the traps in Tennessee ( you get a holder and 2 bags for 5.00 than if you want the lure ( the smelly thing) of course thats extra 5.00 and you only get 1 and 2 more bags ( lol ( ok its a good deal ( but I rather make my own save money and ( have it kill the beast ) sooo lets hope on what your doing it will work ( I made one with a gallon bag ( and a tomato cage and taped it on ( worked Great ( but Im not going to keep going to Lowes and buying the lure ( smelly thing )
Clever! I love this idea, traps from stores are expensive thanks, new sub!
Thanks! We hang ours at the outermost perimeter of our property and it works great!
You're going to attract all the beetles TO your garden with that.
L James yes, it is a pheromone that the beetles love. This was made in 2018 when they were eating all my blooms. This year they werent nearly as bad.

Yes I got them on amazon. Inexpensive. They are living creatures so follow the directions closely.
