So soulful. And full of great musicians making musical magic while one of the great voices sings to us about the activity of love. I just have so many great memories of my pops and his friends sitting around drinking and talking about how they remembered when their wives preferred "it" at this time in the day. I was very young and I believe that they thought I was too young to comprehend their coded use of the word "it". But even then I knew what they were talking about. And I smiled inside. I think I was always hip to grown-up things but I had no understanding of all the beauty and pain of their world. This song takes me back to being a 10 year old black boy on the Southside of Chicago and grappling with everything that brought with it.

When Mr Rawls stepped on the stage and opened his mouth..pure magic was unleashed. The hair on the back of our necks stood on end. We were listening to the voice of an angel. After ridiculous applause, you couldn’t hear a pin drop. Everyone in the 10,000 seats were mesmerized. He didn’t just have talent, he had a gift. Rest in Peace Dear Man ❤
